I am so bummed. I think I ruined my Cyclone atty (bottom-fed) from Tom . I used a screwdriver (I know, I know!) to remove the top part of the atty. Didn't strip the screws completely but it won't screw all the way down (in) on my mod. The screwdriver flattened some of the threads. I know it was stupid. This is what happens when you're a newbie I guess. Live, screw up (pun intended), and learn. Any advice on how I might correct this? Should I take it to a thread doctor (machinist)? o_O
I can fix it... Send it...

I ordered a coil-master....seems like a decent tool kit for making coils, been using the pins from the Marquis', which work nice, just too small, but great for holding coils in place while tightening.....:thumb:

Been using the coil master for a couple of months now, not looked back since! Once you get the hang of it after a few tries it's super fast and perfect right could every time. For a relatively low cost I see it as a must have device. I'm sure you will love it!

It also pretty much makes tight coils from the off, it is difficult to get wrong.

I never vaped a vector with that screen. It just looked so dorky in there that I pushed it out from the top with an unsharpened pencil. Vaping it with it in never even occurred to me.

Yeah, I hear ya on the DT - when you are used to a certain tip, any other takes Some adjusting to. This was the same but the only built in one I've ever used long enough to get used to it.

I've changed my style of inhaling for it too - rather than press the tip to my lips and inhale I put the tip in my mouth and inhale. Kills it. And no, it doan produce no sloth milk or any derivitive of helmet buffing :) :)

Pretty disappointed in the first of my new CAM BF Vectors.

UNTIL I realized I forgot to punch that stupid screen out of it.:w00t:

THAT'S more like it. Hits like a boss and squonks like a champ. Nice job, Tom.

Think this baby gets to see where daddy works tomorrow...

So here's where I'm at. I got home from work and adjusted the 510 in my Peko as far down as I could and still get contact. Put the Manta on it, and it catches enough thread to tighten and stay put. So I'm up and vaping. It's still not right, it should catch more than one thread, or at least in my mind it should. I'm gonna be gentle with it, and order another 510 to replace this one. Hoping that's the issue. We'll find out soon enough. Thanks everyone for your generous offers and advice. We'll see how long it works.

I had exactly what you're describing with one peko I built. Specifically, the FD 510 was too wide at the top and tapered enough at the bottom to catch most atty 510's, provided the atty pin was long enough to get to the narrower threads.

I contacted the kit distributer and got a replacement FD 510 which was to spec. 5 mins to install the new 510, and all was well.

Sooo... the good news is that the cheapest part of the equation (and one that is eminently replaceable) would seem to be the problem.

This makes a lot of sense. Gonna try a pair of spaced coils tonight. Thanks.

We're here to help each other, micro-coils are great for synthetics and unflavored, but the intense heat they generate really caramelizes juices with that concentrated heat, even at lower wattage. They sure work exactly as designed, giving you extreme Sub-Ohm heat with higher ohm coils, if that makes any sense, I still use micros for fruits, & desserts, since I extract my Coffee, they get the spaced coil treatment.

... It is all in the filtering. I filter my NET's down to 0.7 microns and don't have the coil gunking issues most have.

Man you have a ton of patience, filtering time is the hardest step for me patience wise...

If you want to take a drive north I would let you borrow one of my tmods with your choice of attys on it if you wish.

That's a no-brainer offer, nicely done CH.

The Vectors arrived today. Decided to go with a concept I've been working on which I affectionately call the " Birds Nest" coil built to 0.35 ohms.

All I can say is, this Vector is one ba'dass atty! 3 holes open with flavor and vapor for days.

Quick question for you Nicoticket junkies. I want to take advantage of the 50% off sale (too good to pass up). I like breakfast, dessert and NET vapes. Love my coffee (Columbian, strong & black), but haven't found a coffee vape I like. Any recommendations? Need something tasty to throw in my Vector.

I've tried Radioactive, and really like it.

I heard the Monkey entered the Witness Protection Program before the Sloth could get him, and he's trying to sweat the clown for the monkey's new identity. :matrix:

Easy answer?...Wakonda, ACB and The Virus also known as the "Trifecta." Have some of the new " Strike" on the way which is the newest net as well.
