The price difference on the black and gold is primarily due to the fact that they come with matching chuff tips

Do you happen to know if the gold/ black units will come with the 510 adapter as well?

I'm getting a gold one for just in case not sure what I would put it on

Hoping the color is right myself as the Stumpy is my hands down favorite for TC and I just got lucky and happened to snag this...

Wanna get some quick thoughts. Can anyone compare the thump and stumpy in terms of flavor and airflow?

I've been spoilt silly by chowder's top air atties but I've been meaning to try out the stumpy.

Any chance it's a leaky one?

I will ask the others to respond. I never loved the Thump personally. The stumpy and the Narda are all I use anymore.

Never had leaking issues with the Stumpy (unlike, say, the Derringer or Bonsai - two similar form factor atties).

With respect to air and flavour, if you're happy with the Thump, you'll be happy with the Stumpy. In fact, I find I get a tad more of each with the Stumpy.

In terms of build versatility, though, the Stumpy is the hands down winner. The post design lends itself to many more coil configurations.

Kiwi, the Stumpy is by far my favorite atty. I can't tolerate leakers, and even oversquonking, I don't end up with a leak. Only if I try by laying it over on it's side will I get leaking. The airflow is fully adjustable from full open lung hit to completely shut off. It's such a well built atty. You really need one!

Well. Here I am. Again. Bought myself some n80 to try out for the first time, and thought the dual post might be a perfect candidate.

Thanks papa and pwheeler

My opinion only***
The Stumpy has far better airflow and a far superior build deck. I find the flavor on the Stumpy trumps the Thump as well. Build quality...I'd say they're neck and neck...the edge going to the Stumpy.
That being said....the Thump is a great atty. It won't leak no matter how hard you try. The flavor is great and the airflow is acceptable. If it's not adjusted perfectly, it can be a little noisy but that can be solved by closing half of an air hole. It will satisfy the discriminating vaper.

Here's the problem....Tom has brought us some unbelievable attys and as a result, we are a spoiled lot. The bar has been set so high with the Stumpy, other attys don't really get a fair shake. If you took the Stumpy and a few other attys Tom's offered off the table, the Thump is an excellent atty. I can say this, it most likely beats any bf atty you'll find anywhere else. I have a Thump and I use it. I have 1....no desire or a second one. I have 3 Stumpys and a couple more coming. If you like split positive posts and small form factor attys, the Thump is a winner. As is about everything else Tom offers.

I am also a huge Stumpy fan so I recommend getting them while you can. I have several and it's about the only 22mm that I run. I also run some smaller 14 and 18mm atties on various mods, but run more Stumpies than anything.

Since I have several, I am holding out to see what the v2 is going to be like [emoji4] You can run different builds on this thing, variable airflow from wide open to more restricted. And, I have no problems with leaking ever. [emoji4]

And yes, CH definitely does have us spoiled. [emoji6]

Would say that both units give off excellent flavor however in terms of draw, if you are looking for big air, the Stumpy wins hands down. It also rocks when employing a single coil. On the other hand, the Thump shines for me when I'm looking for that long slow draw that I enjoy when vaping the bacco flavors. Have found that I get the best performance using dual twisted 28's (built to 0.4) positioned close to the center post with the top of the coils ever so slightly above.

IMHO, the Stumpy has set the bar. However, with that being said, ( and no matter what the style) no one build is right for any and all atty's. One must be willing to throw different builds at any given unit in order to find that sweet spot that works best.
