The AFC ring is stuck inside the top cap...before I go all Sloth and try to yank it out, anyone have suggestions for loosening it by chance?

Remove the cap from the deck, insert thumb from the bottom and push up hard, once it has juice between the o-rings and the barrel it will be much easier.

You do realize I am one of the most incompetent sloths on the planet. And Sloths already struggle with competency so this is a fact not to be forgotten. I was trying to pull the afc sleeve down from the bottom...had you not stopped me I would have inserted an allen wrench into an airhole and yanked with full force. Thank you for saving my new atty from unparalleled stupidity and destruction before first use.

After first use, I am enamored. I need to rebuild it though. Spittin' like a fiend but it was a slotherly build. But wow, a simple single coil down the middle is kicking the good stuff.

I think they ALL do better with spaced coils. I haven't built a contact coil in a long time. I like having a juice supply between every wrap.

My coil sounds ridiculous, it's 7 wraps 24g 2.5mm contact...slow cool off for sure, but this is great. Smooth hit, airy with that chuff...chain vaping like a fiend. I absolutely love it. Thanks so much Tom. Thank god I'm on the list for a second because I know this is just a first impression but I don't see my other attys getting much use after this. The simplicity, the airflow, the looks...the "Catfish" on the bottom...it's all heavenly.

ETA after another extended chain session: the king of all attys. No wonder the Stumpy has stood the test of time with the Catfish crowd at large.

Mr. Sloth, Penguiness has some excellent advice for the Stumpy. Put the cotton to one side, leaving a gap and put the airflow holes facing the gap. I didn't think it would matter, but it really helps with flavor.
