Meep. Someone else could prolly chime in, but I think the thump has the best flavor for me outta all my atties. Right there with the manta.

Don't you find that they vape completely different? It's nice to say they both are flavorful, but the Manta is a tall atty with a domed cap and a reduced chamber, the thump's top cap it like 1mm from the coils and has some of the same issues as the derringer regarding fighting spitback and having no chamber to speak of. You don't have to worry about leaking, just shooting juice into your eyes. LOL

Yeah I would say the spitback is a slightly bigger issue on the thump than the manta, but with the way I build it, I don't really have much issue with that.

I'm sure there are super tasters around who can tell the difference, but for me if I dialed in the airflow of the thump down to as tight as the manta, I honestly wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two. I get the same dense vapor and intense flavor from both. Tbh I've never really bought into the whole domed cap hype. Mostly a function of the fact that I personally am not discerning enough a taster, and also it makes no sense to me from a fluid dynamics perspective. IMO the biggest factor affecting flavor is chamber size period. With the size of an atomizer, airflow within is 100% turbulent and fancy internal constructs would hardly make a difference.

But that's also the opinion of an endangered flightless bird so... Yeah.

I also don't have any issues with spit back on the Thump but I tend to find with my builds if I don't wick them with enough cotton I have spit back. I tend to stuff the coil tight with cotton. I've also found on the Stumpy if I don't wick it with enough cotton I'll have spit back as well.

For some reason I want to think that the thump will be like the rogue. Does a good stiff pull pick up juice?
It's really going to depend on coil size and placement. I get 0 spitback or juice pull with my build, and it is my daily driver.

How does the Thump compare to the narDA?

if its no where close to similar what other atties is it close to?

Both are excellent atty's and it's hard to go wrong with either. Aside from being side air vs top air, flavor wise I'd have to tip slightly towards the Narda. Airflow wise, the Thump wins. Of course a huge part of it depends on your build as well.

Spitback has everything to do with boiling the juice and is usually caused by running the coil height too low or too much wicking and lack of air gap under the coil. If the coil is laying in a pool of juice or on a bunch of wicking... snap, crackle and pop.
