You're gonna fix other peoples' screwed up work?
I have a couple for ya!
LOL
a) Crap clone minivelocity, bf pin leaves post all wobbly. Never built.
b) Ridiculous 22mm Chi-Nuppin on a whim. JEEZ. It's like they TRIED to Fup. Holes in deck are different distances from the center post, and grub DOESN'T REACH from the side to actually capture wire. Never built.
Not gonna do work on this garbage - just posting for entertainment value.

Tom, I'm not sure how it could work, but I'd explore any possibility to create a Cat-Atty.
Designed and assembled by CAM.
Partner with someone to help finance and machine?
Just a thought - but the thought is:
a) These makers you're mentioning, they're riding a wave by throwing in a pin, but they aren't BF experts.
b) Those atties are good, but they weren't designed to BF
c) There's several hints that the BF market is going to grow. Maybe a lot. Maybe soon. But not like tomorrow...there's still time to develop a top-selling BF-native juice delivery device I think.

Design-wise, I'd plan for as many options as possible - a couple caps, a couple tips, and you at least quadruple your audience. Trying not to insert my personal weirdness (me, I just want a 20mm nuppinish cap on a lowered velocityish deck, lol).

So...just my thoughts.

Tom, I will gladly send my Evolve in if it helps the cause. I've been so disgusted lately with the secret modder list selling out in seconds with insane prices that I've stepped off the merry go round to catch my breath. I've actually been vaping tanks again since this recent batch of RTA's are dirt cheap for "authentics" & provide great flavor. I'm hoping the market changes with new squonk options, it's such a great way to vape that more people should have access to it without the BS elitism I've been seeing.

Regarding the Narda clone I hate to say it but my first thought was that he did it to himself. I never ever want to go against the little guy but I'm a little guy too & as you mentioned it isn't that difficult machining the Atty once you've designed it.

Let's see how the LBC pans out and maybe we will go from there. I'm actually developing relationships with the shops that make the spec'ed parts for many of the nicest attys. (I'm not allowed to name names) I actually have a concept in mind already. Think Narda meets Thump with a side order of stumpy with a concave deck and a very domed cap.

And btw: Send em in....

If you sit down and do the math the shortage of NarDas just doesn't make sense. From what Nareg told me in one of our many conversations he did the initial run of 500 essentially on his dime and where he made a mistake was he pocketed the profits of that run and commissioned another run of 500 instead of stepping it up, those sold out quickly. Now he has commissioned another 1000 which with the clone coming out I'm sure he is sweating bullets. If he had doubled down on run 2 instead of pocketing the money he would be sitting pretty.

Who wants to see my nipples?
Let's start off with a hard clone to mod.

Hmmm... hard nipples?

Haven't tried the clone, but this is a very good MTL flavour atty. If you could maybe offer to drill out the air, you'd prolly get even more traction.

Definitely would need it to be a Lil more open for my needs.

So 2x 3mm air is still tight?

We all know that the high end mod game is fickle at best. What's hot one minute can become not so much the next. It must be disheartening for a mod maker to come up with a product in limited production only to see the "flippers" make out like pirates. With that being said, any business venture is a gamble. I can see putting out a limited run to test the waters of interest, but at the same time I also see the short sidedness of not having a plan in place to hit the market hard with a second run should the first become a success.

It's also quite obvious that China watches everything made with a very close eye only to jump on the clone wagon and make theirs as well while in turn hurting the very market that many have invested in with their heart and soul. Since it is virtually impossible to compete with China in terms of price, The only real choice here is to attempt to stay one step ahead. Sure China can out class anyone in terms of quantity and price, but they fall severely off the mark in terms of quality.
