I realy do dig these CE2 clearos I get from mad vapes. So much so that I would give up cartos compleatly if not for my 2ohm smoke techs.
I have the same issue everyone does; eGo cone wont fit over the CE2 leaving it vulnurable and looking fugly. So I wanted to know if the 510 E2 R4 will fit under the cone. Same principal just no thick clear walls right?
Looking foward to the collective knowledge of the forum :)

no, most stickered carto's wont fit under the cone. It tears the wrap or indents it. They usually have battery extenders that bring the threading up to the top of the cone but are currently out of stock (I am waiting for them to come back in myself).

The other alternative is to grind about 1/16th to 1/8th inch off the top of the cone. This will widen the cone hole (lol) so it will fit over any carto.

The metal 510 Style CE2 R4's work great on an Ego with the cone.. if the sticker is getting in the way, just remove the sticker and use a little alcohol or mild solvent to get the goo off. Then you have a stainless steel CE2 and the outer diameter is the same as the standard 510 Atty and cartridge. No need to muck around with the cone to get air.

..Use a 901 cone, they are usually lower and have a wider opening......

I didn't know that--thanks for posting. I have two cones and I may grind one down, but now I'm thinking about just picking up a 901 cone on my next order. I have the r5 clear with the wider plastic and the ego cone won't fit it either.

I've used a metal file on the narrow end of the cone and took about 1mm or 1/16th" off so my cone will fit over clearos, stickers and g4 type cartos.

however, regular black ce2's and clearos will work with the regular cone diameter but you need to put the carto on first, and then screw the cone over it. With the clearo's it's the base that punches out the bottom of the tube a bit, so its the bottom of the tube that won't fit inside of the cone.

With the steel ce2's and stickers, it will fit, it's just a little tight, and I recommend putting the cone on FIRST with those, and then screwing in the carto.
