Why? I'm using the 2.4 ohm ce2 XL from gotvapes. I have been using 80/20 PG VG nicquid from gourmet vapor and these things suck ...! I can't get more than a 3 second. Crappy no the no flavor hit without the coil getting.red hot and giving me a burned taste. I opened it up, remove the coil cap and the silicon ring and pulled the wick up like people have told me. What else can I do to this crappy carto to get it working half as good as a boge. /rant

I'm with zoid....up the ohms. I have the 2.6-2.8 ohms with 3.7 volts. Try to also pop up the cap that goes around the ceramic cup (instead of pressed all the way down pop it up halfway). When I first got them, it had a plastic plastic burning taste. I've since propped up the plastic cap and the taste went away. I also have been getting stress cracking on the bottom of the clearomizer tubes after 3 days of use. Been using vinyl tubing from home depot (washed thoroughly). Will be replacing the tubes with 3 ml BD syringes when I get them. Hope they increase the ID on the clearomizers soon.

Have you tried some different juices/flavors? I find that some flavors just wont work on some hardware. I have this desert tobacco juice that just always tastes bad on LR atties. Made me think my atty was toasted when it was just the flavor that couldnt handle the heat. Just a thought for you.

I dont "love" clearos, but I like them more than cartos with filler. My fav flavor in them, for whatever reason, is fizzy cola from bluemyst. Its just tasty in there and that juice seems to not crack the tube! though i still only get 3-4 fills before it starts leaking due to cracks anyway. I need to try a BD syringe mod one of these days. Good luck!

Ohms shouldn't matter if I'm using lower voltage? Wattage is wattage correct me if in wrong. If I run this 2.4 at 3.2 volts which would. Be around the wattage you guys are at on your 2.6s, they still suck lol. Bad

I didn't see that you are using a VVPV. What is the watt value you are vaping at. Have you measured the carto to know that it is in fact 2.4 ohms?

I use 2.5 and 3.0 ohm clearomizers on a Ego battery and they work great. The ones with a metal tube i dont like because I cant see whats going on inside. With the clearo's if it seems like your not getting much vapor turn it upside down for 5 seconds and try again. I do like my clearomizers even though the tubes crack after a while, they are no more expensive than a regular cartomizer. Also blow it out after refilling so the coil is not flooded. Like someone above said, make the little slot that covers the wick a little bigger with a x acto knife or clip with scissors so it doesn't pinch the wick. Hope this helps. Keep trying they will work.

Maybe I'm just expecting too much from these. I guess asking to take longer than a 3 second draw and a decent amount of vapor with throat hit is too much for this thing. I'm about to slap a drip tip on it and call it a day

I don't have any problems using Any CE2 with a VVPV. Clouds of vapor and Great flavor. Maybe the drip tip is best for you.

That or sell them.

If you really mean the coil is getting red hot as in actually turning red/orange glow after 3 seconds, it's not getting juice. No matter what ohm your using a wet atty shouldn't be glowing after 3 second hits or much longer for that matter. I can easily do over double that on my clearos with no ill effect as long as the atty is getting juice and I don't have the voltage set to high.

It sounds like you've done all the usual recommendations, fluff the wick, removing the seal around the cup. The only other thing I can think of if you're re-inserting the seal around the cup is to cut an upside down v shape on both sides where the coil runs through it into the cup. That'll give the wick more room and when you're re-inserting it don't push it back down all the way on the cup, just enough to where it fits around it and seals the juice then when you insert the ring and tip it should push it the rest of the way down to the right position without going to far. Also turn the pv upside down before each hit for a few seconds, that gives the juice a chance to get around the wick. Since I started doing that I've never had a dry hit on a CE2.

Great advice. I also prime the wick when new or after cleaning, just drip a couple of drops directly on the wick and let sit for 15 minutes. If worse comes to worse you can turn the cap covering the cup upside down and put it back in, but this will flood the coil and leak thru the stem IF you lay it down. Standing up in a shot glass or something, this method will wick like crazy.

yeah the coil is acutally turning bright red mid hit which would mean it juice starved. Once that coil gets hot I get the burned taste. I'd need an actual picture of the V cutting, I'm not really understanding what your saying. Im about to toss this ce2 and crack open a new one, maybe this one just is garbage. I Also wasted about 5mls of juice trying to get this to work.

On the seal that goes around the ceramic cup there's two notches in it that the wick goes through into the ceramic cup, one on each side. Just widen that area with scissors or something. I usually just cut a upside down v shape around it to give more room both above and around the sides. Doesn't have to be perfect, you're just trying to give it more room for the wick so it doesn't get pinched. Once you do a couple of them you don't have to do any more, just transfer them to the next ce2 and so on.

On the new one you open remove the seal and ring first and just vape it without them for a while, just keep it upright while your testing without the seal. You should get good wicking that way. Once you've gone that far and everything is ok you can widen the notch in the clear seal and put it back in and try it from there.

It sounds like your present one might be bad. It shouldn't be glowing if it's getting any juice at all. The wick might be broken at the atty or something. The only time you should get a glow in the coil is when you're doing a dry burn.
