Guys, based on all of your input, I think I see a light at the end of this tunnel...at present Wakonda is tasting better to me than it has in a LONG TIME...and I'm really trying to not get too happy but...
Here's the thing Thundernoggin...when I load up a maxVG into a PT2 with one of my micro coils and cotton wick, it vapes and tastes great. haven't had a burnt hit off the NZ coolcucumber mint I vape with my partner. but on any with more like a 50/50 ratio, which seems a norm for a lot of his 12-18mg juices, i have this problem. cap has always been down, everything tight on the maxVG.
but flipping the cap and loosening the base to the tank has improved my Wakonda so much, i just may rewick one of my microcoils I set aside for the stock one to go into my SN tank and try it with SN later. I will, per Meg's input, tighten my coilhead to the base, and keep the base to the tank snug but not too tight. is a good way to do this, to tighten it well, then loosen it by one notch or so? how best to do this to ensure no leaking?
another input that might help legitimize the airflow component...whenever i've been taking a "long drag" (4 seconds or more--i know--not long, kind of what it should be) i got that taste EVERYTIME. I've been hitting it more like a cig to minimize the strange taste.
it may all be coming together, but who knows...
