Ceramic wick

I have this wick set up in my rsst and zau and the flavor is just ok. The vapor is fine just seems that the great taste is lacking. Even with a ss wick I thought the flavor was ok. For me the the best flavor was in a iclear 30. I can't recall the ohms on the ceramic set up, but I know that is wasn't very low. Just wondering if anyone else was having flavor issues with the ceramic wick (xc-116). Side note I love the pluid taste with this wick.

Not sure what juice you're using, but I tried Christy's Cappuccino on the zap and the flavor totally disappeared - SS Mesh. I then loaded it with Hype and it taste great. I am guessing there properties within a juice that determines the reaction to the direct exposure to the coil. I have not had any BB or GJ to try yet.

Anyway, that has been my experience and it is not only with AVE, but other juices I've tried while availability has been limited from AVE.

Ceramic and ribbon kanthal on ZAP/Provari at 1.0Ω 3.8v and you couldn't get it from my cold dead hands.

That's with BB as well. I did notice a difference when I went from reg wire to ribbon. Might try that.

I use XC132 in my Cyclone with a micro coil at 1.2 ohms. Rocking it on the Reo Mini and flavor and vaper are awesome. I do have to dry burn it every day or so but that takes about a minute. Check out the microcoil threads in the RBA or Reo sections, you can use them on mesh too.

I know for sure that Boba's can taste perfect with mesh and ceramic. But bb and gj have to be the pickiest juices I've used when setting up a coil. They have to be perfect. I can have a poorly setup coil and with any other juice it's ok but with bb it'll taste like nothing or really burnt. But once you get it setup it's great

Old school 30ga kanthal with cotton in a 2.0 reomizer. Tho cotton doesn't have the lifespan as other wicking like silica, mesh etc....fresh its the best for flavor and TH. Also simple to replace and use the same coil.
