I slightly increased my nic level, just to keep from vaping quite so often. Nicotine won't hurt me, at either 9mg or 10mg, but PG/VG dehydrates the heck out of me, so I figure the less vaping, the better. I still vape as much as I like, but I don't tend to just go around with my mod in my hand constantly. And I do have to put it down to type. :D Also I think slightly decreasing the frequency is pretty normal, as the novelty wears off. You use it when you need it, or when you want it, but it's not every minute of every hour of the day.

I'm about two months in at this point and have reached the point where I don't feel like I need to chain vape anymore. I think sometimes it just takes time. The times I vape most are in the morning when I first wake up and in the evening after I put the kids to bed. I started just feeling like I didn't need to carry my PV around all the time at home and that's how I slowed down on chain vaping.

Hmmm, driving and sitting on the couch...those were the times I user to smoke the most cigarettes also....:)

Raising your nicotine level a little might help, or just varying the level depending on your time and place. Use a higher level nic when you're busy and vaping less, and a lower level when you're driving or relaxing. Unlike cigarettes you can customize your nicotine level depending on what you want at a particular time.

As others posted above you will figure this out as you go along.

I can understand the "concern" (prolly too strong a word) cause you don't vape like you smoked.
A cigarette was itself a "timer"--has a beginning and an end.
Your ability to smoke (in many cases) was time based. For example, break times at work were measured in cigarettes. You had to remove yourself for a time, from an activity to have a smoke then "get back in" to the activity you were missing. Even when smoking at home (assuming you did it indoors) you could easily look down at your ashtray, see all the dead soldiers, and quickly gauge your usage.

You will learn to gauge your vaping as you go along.

The first time I walked in a vape shop to step up from cigalikes the sales associate said:

"(Toot) How (Toot) may (toot) I (toot) help (toot, toot) you (toot) today (toooooooooooooooot)?"
I replied, "Well for starters could you please put that down cause I'm short on time and can't have a conversation this way"

I couldn't help but wonder if some day I'd be needing a Darth Vader helmet to constantly feed me my vape.

Or if I eventuallly would be suspended in vapor like a Third Stage Guild Navigator and be able to fold time and space.

yeah I keep some 6mg for vegging in front of the TV but what works for me if I've got a froggy throat or running low on a favorite, or just want to cut back the chain vaping, like Andria said, I have a higher nicotine juice with me 12mg (I still swipe one of Ed's 18mg for on the go, a couple puffs'll do yah know?) but you get a nicotine headache (every so briefly it goes away pretty quickly) and you quit chain vaping *lol*

I don't know. As my gear has gotten better I find the improved experience has just made me vape more. Back when I started out and the gear was so much worse, I thought chain vaping was a result of withdrawal from whole tobacco alkaloids, since it slowed down after a while off cigarettes. Now a days it just feels normal.

I've been vaping for over a year now.
I chain vape all day. I work from home, and am at home all day most days. I'm down to 3mg for the most part. I take breaks, but I have been feeling lately like I should back off a bit more.
I've been trying to designate my office as my vape room, so when I'm not working I don't chain vape, just stop in for the occasional vape. Maybe I'll start to force my self to go outside to vape if I decide this approach is not working.
Vaping has helped me snack less, so it also has kept the wait off by soothing my hand to mouth fixations.

First, off. Awesome Dune reference.

Second, If I feel I'm vaping too much, which happens sometimes, I simply put my mod down and don't vape for a day or two. Most of my juice has no nic in it, so it's not a big deal.

Third, when I am chaining, I figure I would have been smoking cigarettes instead. For example when I play video games. Even if my vaping is a bit more than normal, in that instance, I still feel it's better than smoking. I certainly notice no ill effects the next day; unlike cigs.

I wish I had half of the stash some of y'all have. I'd probably be able to do the multiple nic levels. But right now all I have is one bottle of Space Jam Astro at 18 mg. Lol

I'm still rather new to vapeing... at least vapeing on something that's not a "cig-a-like" and I was curious to see when other people found themselves chain vapeing the most. I find myself doing it when I'm driving or just sitting on the couch. How did y'all cut back?

The Simplest way for me was to Not Hold My PV. Take some Hits and then put it Down. Just like when you Smoked.

BTW - What mg level are you using? And how many ml's per day do you vape?
