Yup I find myself vaping more now that I dropped down to 3 mg. I'm a MTL vapor like yourself, it's all about keeping busy. On my lazy days I tend to vape more. I tend to be the opposite when playing video games, I barley touch my mod. It's the slow movie days on the couch that kill my juice. Hope you can find a solution to your problem. Keeping busy always seem to work for me.

Wire up a k9 training collar to your mod. Give yourself a jolt to the neck every 3rd puff. That's what I do. I got one of the spiked collars so strangers fear me. Double win!
I have a Spiked collar but get a totally different reaction when zi wear it We also have things that shock again way different porpose lol
I always vape lots more when I drop nic level bit it evens out over time noting to be considered about IMO

I think dripping helps, it gets tiresome if you do it non stop.

The support from this community is beautiful, I want to thank everyone again.

I'm interested in dripping but I'm a noob...

I've dripped in two different ways:
    - when my glass tube broke and I had to wait for a replacement lol (now you know why I stock up tubes)
    - my stepbrother made my Mom a mech mod and I used it much more than she, I replenished the cotton a dozen times but I wasn't very good at it.

This may be naive of me but are there pre-built drip atomizers with cotton included? or at least one where I don't have to build coils? I could manage replacing cotton I suppose.

It would definitely be nice while at home. Changing flavors with ease is great, I get antsy wanting to move onto the next. Plus my Mom can sample my flavors easier, so I know what juice to order her!

I would pay for these (if they exist), I'm mechanically challenged and building stuff like that makes me nervous XD

You can buy pre built coils for fairly cheap and just rewick them. You can find them on most vape sites like fast tech or even Amazon.

Lots of good suggestions to write down in a list. Practice them and learn what works for you.

I don't always have Nic in my juice. If I do, it is at 2%. I do try to focus my vape break so that I can sit quietly for 5-10 minutes. Sitting quietly every 2-2.5 hours is healthy.

I'm not a forums guy but after browsing Google on multiple occasions, I've never found a person I can relate to, in terms of experience with smoking to vaping.

The many threads I find say something to the power of:
    1. Smoking too much
    2. Quit smoking
    3. Vaping too much
    4. Vaping decreased gradually

My experience has been quite the opposite actually. I smoked for 4 years, I quit with vape, continued to vape for 3 years, and gradually became a chain-vaper! The amount of vaping I've done has gone from the few puffs every hour, on the hour, to every waking moment.

Please tell me someone can relate.

I've found myself with headaches, asking myself why I can't put the damned thing down. I've told people that I wish I had a timed lockbox, so that my e-cig becomes inaccessible for an hour. I go through so much juice daily, it's unreal.

While it is an embarrassing claim, it's true, I'm not just being dramatic. I'll be the first to admit, I have an addictive personality. I've been grasped by alcohol and opiate addictions on separate occasions and quit both. I've been sober for 3 years now, and hey I even quit caffeine cold turkey lol. Why is this vape so tough to kick?

I don't want to quit necessarily, but I'd like to cut way down. I truly feel like vaping is much more addictive than all of the above. When opposed to cigarettes, maybe not in nicotine amounts but definitely the process is- for me.

It's apparent that vaping, to me, is a separate entity than smoking. At first, I used it as a cig substitute- which is why I only used it when I needed a fix AKA once every hour or so. Now, it is an alternative to breathing.

    My (obvious) thoughts on causes:
    - It's simply pleasant.
    - Anywhere, anytime. I've become attached to my mod. Won't leave the house without batteries or juice. If I did, I'd have a panic attack.
    - I'm a gamer, this is when I find myself puffing like a chimney. No more cigarette breaks was nice at first.
    - I've found amazing quality/price juice, so I've stocked up over the years.
    - Addictive personality, gotta find the next substitute somewhere.
    - My time at home consists of: nothing. I like to be lazy.
    - My time at work consists of: next to nothing. I have a LOT of down time (16 hour shifts).
    - I'm a big money saver, I order juice like its nothing because money is not really tight.
    - I stock up on everything. Atomizers, replacement glass, batteries, battery wraps. I'm not sure if people buy 20 replacement atomizers at once like I do lol.

I'm not a cloud chaser, I've never appealed to the trendy side of vaping. In fact, sometimes I try to hide my habit. The stigma of "manbun+fidget spinner = vaping" is cringe worthy and I'd rather not admit that I partake. I vape 1.5mg nic, I fill up my tank maybe 10 times a day and I have over 300 puffs a day.

If you have read to this point, you're a champ and I appreciate you. If you have thoughts or suggestions, I'd love to hear them. However, it has been therapeutic just writing this. I've recently found out that timed lockboxes do exist, and I plan to use one to cut down.

If you vape or plan to, I don't want to discourage you. In my mind, it's an all-around better experience than cigs. That said, I do think the process is more addictive. If I were you, I would just be careful of forming unnecessary habits. I don't care if no one is opposed to vaping indoors, don't do it! That will lead to chain vaping. Dedicate one area to vaping, just like we did with cigarettes. Try your best to occasionally vape, with at least 1 hour in between each session. and LET'S NOT BE NAIVE, vaping is not harmless and I can't stand when people claim it so!

    Thanks for reading.

I am in your boat too. I’m simply addicted to the cloud, the flavor, the tanks, the supplies. I also have an addictive personality.

I'd say that you are doing it to fidget. To have something to do with your hands. You might want to give making your own coils a try. You could do RTA's so you don't have to drip. Or you could squonk to avoid dripping, I find dripping to be tedious. And ity doesn't matter if you screw it up for a while because you still have your other devices to fall back on. Just get yourself acquainted with all of the safety rules and be methodical about it.

*Upon Edit: Buying premade coils is a great way to start.

I too am a chain vaper and I’m burning through coils like crazy. What do you do to prevent that?

    1. Follow Asbestos advice above or enlist a friend to surprize gut punch you or give you an atomic wedgie when they see you chain vaping.
    2. Learn to live with it, it's still a fraction of the cost of smoking.
    3. Get a rebuildable atty and lower your costs dramatically.
    4. Put relief cuts in your underwear so they break away freely because any friend invited to wedgie you for your best interest isn't going to stop.

Yes, I chain vape and I’m ok with it. I have a cabinet of vape stuff and a freezer full of nicotine. I don’t ever intend on quitting. The alternative to not vaping is smoking and I don’t want to go back there. It wouldn’t be immediate but I’d be out with the smoking friends or relatives and having “just a few” would sound good. In no time I’d be back up at a pack a day. Yuck. If I’m being lazy I vape nonstop, if I’m busy and it’s in another room I can go a long time without or I can make short trips out of the house without it and not get worried.

Rebuildable atomizer. Throw some new cotton in any time you like for a fresh tasting vape.

Having a daily routine which i stick to keeps a handle on things. Sometimes i think i should give something a miss, then i just refer to my routine. Willpower, or a thought process, which is based solely on a routine means that i don't generally question my actions.

If a person doesn't really have a routine then i guess what they do from day to day could potentially become questionable from a first person perspective.

Over the past few years i have changed, lowered, the amount nicotine i vape. These days i'm settled on 24mg- (24%)-(2.4%) whatever way you understand it. I don't sometimes randomly choose to raise the amount or lower it. I've been using 24mg's, about 3ml a day, for about maybe 2 years. And it's all part of a daily routine.

I smoked for about 30 years - believe me, I know how rough it can be. I went through a lot of different vaping stages and a lot of different equipment. I never thought I'd be making my own coils.

Try rotating a few different setups if you must vape in wattage mode. I know my advice is a bit of a pain, but backups are important and if you don't want to go the RTA route (using TC would be ideal) I would get a couple more setups and rotate them so you aren't overheating your tank, or shortening coil life. It really does make a difference as far as coil life, keeping temps low in your tank.

An RTA would certainly help, there's a bit of a learning curve, and while I still use my drop in coils as well, it's really nice to know that I can build and install a coil myself for pennies, compared to drop in coils.

Hope you find something that works out for you!
