Tone it down? As I sit here on my couch watching football I can barely see the Tv. He was out of bounds!!! Oh wait..I'm not sure because of all of the vapor!!!

Seriously though...my rule of thumb is simply vape! It's highly unlikely you are going to vape an unsafe amount. I mean...it's virtually impossible. If you start to get a headache you might want to put it down for a bit. Always drink plenty of water and VAPE ON!!!

As long as you aren't getting headaches and feeling weird your fine.

If you want to reduce the amount you are vaping you can move up on nic strength. Most people coming straight off cigs use 2.4-1.8 nic.

Truth be told ... we all pretty much intake more nicotine than when we smoked. When you smoke a cig, the smoke carries the nicotine straight to the lungs providing an instant hit of nicotine that wears off fast.

With vaping a lot of the nicotine is absorbed in the mouth and throat, causing a slower absorption rate than if it went directly to the lungs. This causes a lot of people to overdue it because they keep on vaping to get that nic. When in reality its just taking longer for the nicotine to enter the blood stream. That is also why it can cause restlessness at night if you vape before going to bed. Even though you stopped vaping, your body is still absorbing nicotine.

yay here comes the train...............

theres many ways to look at this, first is the possibility your not getting the same amount of nic per puff like a cig (unproven as of yet), then there is the fact a cig had a beginning and an end and we knew when we were done. with vaping we dont. sometimes we think its a lot but puff per puff for some people its about the same .

there is also the chance your nic is too low and your trying to make up for it by chaining, i know once i got my current gear chain vaping pretty much came to an end with my juice as i get too dizzy now.

in the end if you dont feel bad or see something causing problems.....VAPE ON!

I agree with the sleep thing. If I vape before bed I cannot sleep. Have to have self control and put it down maybe an hour before you plan to go to bed. I use sleeping pills so I do not notice it as much anymore.

I chain vape.

I'm starting to realize I like the act of vaping and exhaling vapor (and flavors) more than I crave the nicotine.

I lowered the nic content in my juices so I don't vape myself dizzy. I don't mind, right now, if I chain vape as long as I don't get dizzy or headaches.

What I also noticed is if I don't carry my PV, I won't vape.

The police say a crime requires access and motive, so if I remove access by leaving my PV in the car or not taking it with me, I don't vape.

Food for thought.

You'll know if you've ingested too much by physical symptoms. Primarily, headaches, dizziness and nausea.

These will diminish after you stop ingesting nicotine.

Now, if you drank it, it would be an entirely different process. Potentially very harmful. Potentially fatal.

I can crank through 1ml of juice on an hour if I'm in a chain vaping mood. At stronger nic levels, I'd be feeling very poorly.

I could drink a 12oz can of soda in an hour and not even be chain-sipping. That would be 255 times the amount vaped. Plus, it would be ingested and absorbed at a higher level, than vaping.

In short, you would be very hard pressed to injure yourself by vaping. Even if you tried really hard, you'd likely get unpleasant temporary symptoms.

Good to know! However - as far as the nicotine goes...I have been researching it more and more....
It REALLY makes me want to vape 0 MG. Nicotine isn't as "harmless" as I thought...even by itself

I chain vape at home, hence the passthrough...mind oyu i chain smoked as well, so no change there.
I only use 8mg nic, so frankly I don't let it worry me, at first you are going to chain vape I think, first off its new and fun, second it takes your mind off analogues..don't stress over it, vape all you like, watch for headaches of course, but you can drop the amount of nic to cope with that.

Things will either settle and you will vape less, or they wont and you can join the ChainV club, either way you ain't smokin ' :D

Maybe for the first 2 months, smoke as much as you like but try to lower the MG of nicotine you get by bottle. I smoked a pack and a half a day and when I switched to vaping, I went from 24, to 18, to 12, within two months but I did chain vape. Now on my 3rd month off cigarettes I am currently at 6mg - 0mg of nicotine and I vape less than I used to during my first two months. I'd say its personal preference but when you seem ready try to cut down the vaping less than you normally do.

I vape 12mg in the morning with coffee and for a few more hours and then go to 6mg in the afternoon and early evening because I chain vape. I'm now trying 0mg at night as nicotine tends to give me problems getting to sleep. You can make your own nic level even if you don't diy by buying your usual strength flavor and another bottle of the same with much lower nic or zero nic. If you use cartos, just put a few drops high strength and a few drops low strength on it.
