Can you tell which atomizer I love ??

And which mod ...... which drip tip ??

Ya when I find something that's the best I collect them.........

Thank you Mark for finally giving in and doing another run of these beauties .... I know I harassed you a bit since the last run 15 months ago.

got mine today, I didn't think I'd like the satin finish but it's not as bad as I thought it would be,I'll just brush finish all the other metals and then it matches fine :) I need to make a copper beauty ring for the seat on the dibi but it looks perfect on the reo evolved as-is :D

When I got this yesterday, it was happy and sad affair. I was thrilled to see the craftsmanship and design of Chalice. But, at the same time, it also reminded me of the pain missing out on WE II by 30 seconds and how awesome of mod it would have been.
I need to buckled down and be prepared for WAE II release!

I do want to mention that, Chalice kicked my .... with first time doing Z coil. I was fumbling like a noob. I will try a few different methods and will handle this "beast". :)

Thanks for the beautiful and extremely functional rda. Hands down, most effective BF RDA on the market.
A few initial observations.
Current logo location (right above the hole) might be better on the direct opposite side. Usually mod users like to have the logo facing them and they tilt the mod towards them. Most of us like to have the hole away from us (avoid leaking) and having the logo on the opposite end act as a guide to indicate where the hole location is (on opposite side)

If one of the post has a slot from the top down to the threading hole, it would make a huge difference in coil builds. Instead of twisting legs to feed the Z coil, we can simple "drop" the leg on the remaining post. So, the coil build steps would be
1) Thread and screw secure the first leg (same as current method)
2) Take the remaining leg and "drop" into the post and secure it with the screw

I tried to do a z coil, really, I did. I'm using 26ga, I wrestled it in there and while adjusting it I winded up somehow actually breaking the coil . I was tired and didn't feel like doing it again so I decided to just do my normal coil right at the air hole, like I would on any other atty. the post holes facing the way they do make it a little tricky, you need longer legs and to keep the legs even you need a few curves but it was easier than the z coil I think. I'll try a z coil in the other one I guess but this one is working awesome as is :D

Don't be pendejos y'all :). Gotta run a Z to get the true chalice experience. :)

Trust me, if I can do it, YOU can. I highly suggest using wire no thicker than 29 ga.

Until you vape it with a coil in the center directly under the chimney, you haven't really vaped it :)

And as far as the air hole goes, it is in tne perfect location for a center coil. Just build it right, screw the cap on and vape it like you stole it :)

ok ok I will def try a z coil too brother  the 26 gauge is too much for that I think was my main problem :)

Turbo, it's not too hard bro. It's how the chalice is designed to operate. Just look at the care that went into putting those post holes exactly where you'd want them for a Z.

Hanging a coil off the side and expecting it to vape like a chalice would be like cooking that ribeye on the grill lid rather than in the grill :)

ha, it's really not that I thought I couldn't do it or that it was too hard :2cool:, I tried at first with 26ga and I got it in there but I broke it at the post wrestling it into place trying to get equal length legs, and then didn't bother doing it again. my main apprehension has nothing to do with difficulty of mounting it, it's more about having the coil further from the air inlet which will raise throat hit. I'm not a big fan of throat hit, I like smooth and mild and flavorful but no throat hit much really. I've built and played with so many different coils and coil positions and different chamber sizes that I'm at the point that I know what I like and what I don't which is why I just fell back on the side mounted one last night but I'm more than willing to at least try the z :)

ok I did a z in my other one, vaping both ~ the same power level and same juice and as I suspected the z coil does give a bit more throat hit, honestly not as much as I was afraid of, but def more than a coil right at the air inlet. the one with the coil at the air inlet is a very sweet smooth vape, the z coiled one is slightly less sweet and smooth and slightly more peppery and harsh. not bad at all really, if you like throat hit then it's great. I'm going to live with it for a little while and see :)

I have been vaping on Z coil and can definitely tell it burns cleaner. Might be that the juice is spreading evenly and there is absolutely no overflow to worry about. And it fits perfectly to either Grand or Woodvil.
I guess I will keep it. :D

By the way, Reonauts need to stop taking over MB's Chalice thread. I feel like I am back in Reoville. :p
Ok, maybe just for little celebration. :toast:

I know you could do it. You nailed it too. Nice coil bro. If you lower it a tad the TH will diminish the lower you place it :)

if you notice, the legs are coming off the top of the coil so it is very low, can't go any lower without risk of shorting it :)

Oh yeah. That's different. I've had no success when I rolled top hung coils. Harder to mount and possibly why your getting more TH. Dunno but if that's 26 that's a pretty SLR setup right? I'm guessin about .4 ish?

Yeah, I a very little TH fan myself :)

that's 28ga, 1/16" id, .7 ohms. not sure how the legs coming for the top of the coil might add throat hit? all I can go from here is up, might try raising it just to see, since the coil is so far from the air inlet I guess it's not impossible raising it might help, it's too far from the air hole to hurt it I think because even raised it's not going to get more airflow below the coil really , I'll try it :)

I actually may try another z but up really high, much closer to the top air outlet, that should put the coil more into the airflow stream and might actually reduce TH too really. raising it when the coil is right at the air inlet increases TH but in this case I don't think it will and may actually help reduce it
