Arguments both ways,
tight micro: you get better heat more efficiently, easier to wrap consistent coils
spaced "ugly" coils, micro or standard: More area of wick can be exposed to juice, especially nice for Bottom Feed since it coats the wick then drains away.
With the Chalice there is no juice well for a wick to sit in, so I like ugly coils.
I always do tight tiny micros, either 1/16" or .055" but this one is on a dna40 with Ni200 so it's better with non touching wraps since it doesn't get dry burned and I bumped it up to 2.4mm id
As promised here are few pics of the Chalice III, next week we will tell you more about it.
Oooh, I think I like, very interesting air flow, when the three holes line up you get full flow and as you turn the AFC so the groves are over the three holes in the body then less and less?
Was just looking at the pics elsewhere. Glad to see them up here too. Looks good. Can't wait! Hope they are up long enough for me to get one.
