Can't hurt to ask, right?

Someday, when you've got nothing else to do :D, please blow up the Chalice about 15-20%.

I'd be in heaven with a diameter around 19mm (for a Reo LP without overhang) and a comparable increase in available airflow.

Other benefits MIGHT include (not critical for me, but others might want) room for dual coils, and/or holes for thicker wire...

You could call it the Chalice 120%.
Or the Chalice L (leaving room for a 22mm Chalice XL, but there's lots of 22mm atties)

In 19 mm OD we can do a lot of things to improove a lot of things, but I think is not the time, but I will talk with REO to get some info regarding LP.

Rob lowered the height of the catch cup walls so any size rba can be used. The outside of the catch cup deck (flat area) is about 19mm. 22mm rba will work but overhang the edges and prevent the door from sliding up. I would love to keep it as small as possible but increase the space of the internal air chamber from the inlet to the single outlet so we can get more flow. A 13 to 14 coil deck with an 18 to 19 mm outside diameter would be sweet.

LP on the left, standard REO on the right.

Mark, I'm hoping you're thinking about this in addition to the current offering, not replacing it

Hi all. Apologies for making this post, but I'm not sure how else to go about resolving this.

As many of you folks know, I picked up a couple of chalice 3s a couple months back. One of them came with an AFC ring that had an airhole that wasn't completely drilled through

After PMs and showing pictures, Mark promised to send me a replacement immediately.

In the mean time, I decided that it wasn't the atty for me, and i offloaded it to newportlocal. If course, we both took it on good faith that once I receive the replacement AFC ring, I would send it to him too.

Days after, Mark and i exchanged PMs, and he suggested that I should try to use something to poke and incompletely drilled hole so that it'll work while I wait for my replacement. After a couple of exchanges I stopped replying because I was at work.

Months after I never received a AFC and promptly PMed mark about it. His response was that he was waiting for my PM to see if his "fix" works. I promptly informed that in the first place, I received a defective item, AND mark promised me a replacement. The PM was also sent by him as a fix WHILE I waited for my replacement.

He has since stopped replying my PMs, including the one I sent 2 days ago.

So here I am. I hate doing this, but I've tried the PM route. Aside from the disappointing dis honoring of promise made to me by a vendor, but more importantly, I have another member here who took me on good faith and purchased the chalice from me.

All im looking for is a reasonable resolution, and Mark I hope that you can meet me halfway/somewhere. Thank you.

First of all i will respect the promise and send you a spare AFC ring next week !!!

Second ” a couple months back” it was in December , and after your last PM from December I thought the problem was solved ( as i already told you), now i see you last PM was on 29 January and indeed i was not be able to respond in short period of time.

From my point of view is just a communication error ,we always try to solve any problem of MB products even is the user fault (not your case ), many of you know this thing!

To avoid any communication error i will post here tracking number for AFC.

Thanks,
Mark

Thanks Mark. It's appreciated.

ETA: just wanted to add that when I said "couple of months back", that was on 2 December, which is near 2 months ago, so I hope you don't think I'm deliberately exaggerating the time stamp. That wasn't my intention.
