I have been looking at these two devices intently and I really cannot decide which one I am more inclined toward. I like how the Lazer is slim and sleek, although, I also like how the Chameleon can slide right into the palm to be consealed or into a pocket without going off. I intend to use either one mainly for 3.7v vaping and longer battery life, I am tired of my 510 operating just around 3v. These items mainly intrest me because they are functional and not too large or cumbersome like other 6v mods.

The only difference I can spot between the two in the way of functionality are the price and shape. The Chameleon also has room for the "slip on" attachment which would allow for 6v vaping. I am not intrested in this (for now at least).

So, are there any specific advantages for the Chameleon/Lazer for 3.7v use? I simply cannot decide which one to go for. Any ideas?

Scorched, I have both so here's my opinion:

Laser is slightly longer than the C (@3.7v) and MUCH thinner. The C isn't big by any means but the laser is really much closer to "stock" battery size. Battery life (@3.7v) of the C is longer so factor that in. Lasers button sticks out slight while the C's button is flush.

If you don't need/want the high voltage option I'd get the laser as the price is certainly right. If finances allow though I'd definately recommend both as you'd have the best of all and a back-up just in case (someone "borrows" one!).

Overall the fit/finish on the C is better but the laser is very nice, especially for the price of what amounts to a couple days worth of analogs!

Another consideration would be stock, are they both available now?

Either way you'll be happy but if going with just one I'd start with the cheaper (I'm poor so I'm tight with $ and spent months considering mods before I purchased my C! - back before the lasers were available, plus I wanted the HV option).

HTH in some way!

I don't have a Chameleon so I can't give an opinion of one vs the other.

You could always look at it this way though. If you're interested in the Chameleon and have the money to purchase.

If you were interested in 6v vaping then you would be spending even more money on the extra sleeve and alternate batteries. So now that you've decided you're not interested in 6v vaping you could spend that money on a 2nd pv and get both the Chameleon and a Lazer :D

Then you can compare for yourself and always have a backup unit. :)

I'm with Thye, if you can afford both, get both. Both have their places and sometimes one is definitely better than the other. I can't use just one device. I have the Chameleon and both types of Lazers and I use all 3 every day. I do tend to use the Chameleon the most but that probably has more do to with it has my favorite atty and juice flavor on it.

I vape a lot and I mean a lot! Power chain vaping as I call it LOL. I get about 1.5 - 2 hours on the lazers and about 3.5 - 4 hours on the Chameleon. That's almost non-stop, hard, long draws. Ok so I stop every 5 puffs or so to drip and let the atty cool for a minute, or if I'm typing something long. I'm the extreme short end of battery life. I can drain a stock 510 battery in about 40 minutes. Good news is that the batteries for both the Chameleon and the Lazers recharge pretty fast On the other end of the spectrum is my hubby. He uses a Lazer and a Tornado. He changes his Lazer battery every other day and the Tornado maybe every 5th day. Ok so there you have battery life.

Uses... I love the Chameleon because you can set it upright on it's end. You can not do that with either Lazer. I will not set my PVs on their sides. I can keep the Chameleon on my desk right next to my hand. The Lazers I keep in a plastic votive cup so they sit upright, well at least one of them. The other one I wear on a chain around my neck. The Chameleon is too heavy to wear so the Lazer has the advantage there. I actually prefer the silver lazer LPV1 for wearing as it is a tad shorter than the LPV2, but my LPV2 is zebra so it's much cooler looking :).

When I go out in public it's the silver LPV1 as it's smaller and classy looking. Unless I'm being zany then it's the Zebra LPV2. The Chameleon is just too big for me in public. I like to keep my vaping as inconspicuous as possible.

So each has their place with me and I like them all. If I put the same atty on all three, it works pretty much the same on all three. What ever difference there may be is too small to be sure if it's real or imagined so I'll just say they work the same.

Don't know if I've been any help or not, but there is my comparison. If you want to know something more specific ask away :)

Add on edit... To me the Chameleon will last much longer than either Lazer. It's built to last and very well made. The Lazers are very well modded, don't get me wrong, but I do not think they will last for years like the Chameleon. Ok that's it for real now

Good call on the 3 of you!

The main plus's and minus's between the two pretty much have been said.
The quality is indeed different between the 2 internally and externally. The threadings on the Chameleon are superior when in comparison of the Lpv's As is the build.

The batteries are also a significant issue. The Lpv as you know takes 10440 that will give you 4.2V then smooths out to 4.0, depending on use defines the life span. Some folks (like myself) only achieve about 2.5 hours where as other have experienced all day.

The Chameleon on the other hand has the ability to use a limn imr 16340 battery, in which gives the user a constant stream of 4.2 till the very end. I achieved 10-12 hours steadily on average when using these batteries.

Wow both of thoes bad boys just look too slick. Thanks you all for the information, I think I will have to go with the Lazer once it is on stock. This is mainly because of the price; I will start off small and get something cooler if I feel so inclined.

So here is one more question: Somewhere on here I saw a picture of a Lazer with a pen clip attached to it, I must have it! Will thoes be avaliable anytime soon?

Edit: I found it. I MUST HAVE IT.

Hey Scorched! I just wanted to let you know another difference between the lpv and chameleon... The Chameleon comes with 3 different adapters a 510, 801, and 901 whereas the lpv you would have to make a choice between 510 & 901.

I forgot to mention that. I am still sort of a noob so I only have expierence with 510 atomizers. Once I order the chameleon I will be sure to try out 901 and 801 atomizers to compare their preformance. From what I hear the 901 is supposed to give better flavor than the 510 atomizer.

Any update on that Lazer with the pen clip? I want it!
