With the new passthrough, both versions of the Prodigy, the Original 3.7/6v and the new 5v will operate at 5v with the passthrough connected correct ? Gosh i know at least after stressing about all Steve's hard work, I will learn alot more about electrical output:D

Cancer,

The Prodigy (Both versions) and the PassThroughs are two very distinct and seperate "Stand alone" devices... They are not used while connected together. In fact...there is no way to connect them together.

The Prodigy (Both Versions) is strictly a Battery powered Device possessing no connectivity to alternate power sources. With the "Original version" being capable of the 3.7-7.4V Range and the "New V1 version" being capable of the regulated 4.7-5.5V Range.
The business end of the Prodigy (Both versions) is designed to receive various Prodigy adaptors which will accomodate a variety of Atomizer sizes. Currently, the 801 and 901 adaptors are available for use with the penstyle (801) and Mini (901) atomizers.

The PassThrough is strictly a USB powered device, and uses the USB 2.0 plug for connectivity to the power source. The "USB 2.0 Standard" dictates that all USB 2.0 ports will supply voltage at 5V. Since the PT can only connect to a USB port, it's supply voltage will always be ~5V.
The business end of the PT is designed to receive various PT adaptors which will accomodate a variety of Atomizer sizes. Currently, the 801 and 901 adaptors are available for use with the penstyle (801) and Mini (901) atomizers.

Hope that helps,:)

Is it a 5-foot or a 6-foot model??? Up until now, I believe the comments have referred to a 6-foot model...

Also, why doesn't the PS website have a drop-down box (or something) where we can specify whether we want the 3-foot or the 6-foot version?

Tescela,

I believe Steve is stating that the 2nd run cable option of "5-6', 20awg cable" is simply indicating that he hasn't hammered out the exact length yet. My assumption is... It will be between 5 and 6 foot in length and will use 20awg wire vs. 28awg wire.
My opinion is that... Most folks who would select the heavier/longer cable option, would likely prefer a 6 foot length vs. a 5 foot length.

I'm guessing that it isn't on the website because it isn't "officially" available until the 2nd production run of the USB PT's which won't occur for another week or two.

Good morning
Mmm, RY4 and coffee, great way to start the day. I think this was answered once, too early in the day to try and find it.

Are the atty adaptors for the Prodigy and the new PT interchangable or device specific?

TIA

I would like to order a Manual PS 901 Passthrough, but I still need to know before I pre-order:

When it will ship?

How long is the cord?

Does it look like the pictures on the PS website or does it look like like the Prodigy, but just with a cord? I am still confused over the way it looks, sorry.

Thank you

Would it be better to wait for the 2nd run? Due to the 28G / 20G thingy??
Please explain what that means?

How long is the cord? 1st Production run = 3 foot only.... 2nd Production run (approximately 1-2 weeks after the 1st run) will have a choice of 3 foot or 5-6 foot length cables. A larger diameter (20awg) wire will be used only in the longer cable.

Check Pic in Cashmere's (Steve's) post here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/puresmoker/17076-changes-ps-usbpass-visual-finally.html for the new improved version Pic.

Thank you
