Well, results are in everyone. Did this test using king diamond batts, one shorty, one regular, one xl. Watched the chargers as best as I could to get the most accurate times possible. Had them by me constantly watching for light changes. :)

Shorty charge times:

USB- 78min
Old School (OS) wall charger- 83min
Slim Line (SL) wall charger- 67min

Regular:

USB- 123min
OS- 126min
SL- 97min

XL:

USB- 168min
OS- 171min
SL- 139min

Roughly 19-21% faster overall than the old chargers. What I found odd was even with it having a lower mah output, they still delivered the promised 20% gain. My only complaints with it are the coloring (prefer it was in black, white screams apple product, a big boo for we mac haters out there), and if you already own a good amount of the old chargers and have plenty of spare batts, then there's not much need as of yet to make the switch. Hopefully we'll see this newer charger technology migrate to the usb chargers sometime soon.... :)

Tesla sir, made sure the contacts were clean on my old chargers before hand (though that's rarely an issue thanks to syringe refilling. Not putting a single king diamond or stealth in risk).

Yes I have Mark sir, 4.2v at start on each one. Doing a round of voltage checks on them while we speak to see if they hold their voltage and last as long as they do off the old chargers. Will post the results hopefully by tomorrow :)

That's great info Morandir, will be replacing the old school as soon as we can afford to and will pass them on to my brother with some other supplies. i have noticed that my usb chargers seem to charge faster when plugged into a 2 port wall charger usb unit rather than into a usb port. will see if i can get you some numbers today.
