No knees down yet, I'm saving that for the track. I always wear jacket (astars), helmet (RF-1100) and boots(Sidi Corsa) on the street but I'll wait till I'm full suit and at the track before I start pushing the bigger lean angles. Should have my project bike on the road before next season and then I intend to do the full track-day season next year.

some eye candy, my lil Scuderia Yamaha ;):

Lovely collection you got there.

I learn't to get the knee down on the road here, then transferred that to the track when me and my bud's used to do the track days...oh, happy days they were too.
I know it should be the other way round...lol...but we were all rebels then, I still am a little...nothing better than scaring the living daylights out of the car drivers behind when taking a good corner at the required speed with titanium sliders on...let the sparks fly...lol.

My DiD is not really perfect (I was among the first to get one BTW);air hole doesnt align, wobbly nuts (not thick enough) conector not making contact with all APVs

Not resurrecting...but nothing like that with the real Mcoy...alignment is perfect, no wobbly nuts and no problems with connection for me.

To the poster of the side by side pics, any notes on it's screws or how it performs?

The DUD has allen-key type screws. They are rather small and fiddly, it has to be said. In terms of performance. It's relatively easy to set up and performs like any other Genesis. IE, very well. It's a fog machine... ;)

The air hole is nowhere near the wick though, (on the opposite side) but there is enough threading to move the top cap around luckily... Otherwise this atty would have been of no use to me whatsoever (I'm not a monster throathit fan).. This totally ruins the lines of it as you end up with a gap between the tank and topcap... Proof that the Chinese manufacturer has no real idea on how a Genesis works at it's optimum. The draw is tight as well... The threading is OK. Not as smooth as the DID at all though... It just feels "cheap" in comparison.

I'd say it's all-in-all. OK. Not anywhere near as nice as the DID. But for the money - and for modders, I reckon it's a good buy. Way better than that Smoktech "Genesis" thing, which to me just looks like landfill fodder.

It ships with a really nice drip tip. If that's any consolation ;)

I have found the DID a bit tricky to get working 100%. The DUD, I had up and working in 20 mins... I'm waiting on delivery of a decent blowtorch before I re-set up my DID.

I got Jim's mini-DID (which I really like BTW)... finally... Long story... But also got 2xDuD's ($12 a pop) in a co=op from another forum. I had no doubt what I was getting. Everything about the real mini-DID is quality. Jim stepped it up from when he released the original IMO. The original is a great design, and Jim perfected it further with his new releases... Well the DuDs do not compare. But I didn't get them for me to use really. I got them to take to a local vape meet, and use for others to have their hand hand at trying to build and use them. Then give them away to them. If they like them, I refer them to Jim and the other mod makers out there. Got some chinese bully copies for the same purpose... The ones I got look to be chrome plated brass, not SS, though the screws etc seem to be SS.

My ideas exactly. Why not use them as a stepping stone? Just as all of us did not start out with a $300 mod.

Did MOV go up $10 on these in the past day ? I could have sworn they were $29.99, now they are $39.99. I was waiting to hear everyone's feedback before ordering one. Looks like I may have missed out on the better deal.

Oh damn, they did. I got mine yesterday for 29.99...

You bikers need one of these to fit inside your bike helmet, with an extra long USB cable, with the battery box connected to your handlebars. ;)

that's funny that you posted that.....I was thinking of building a box-type mod to attach to the ole helmet ;)

I ordered my DuD at 29.99 also.........whew.

I wasn't familiar with Grecian Jim and the DID business. The hype I noticed was the business about a rebuildable atomizer, and that's all I had been seeing it marketed as. This coming from a new vaper, not familiar with exclusive versions. And it's been like pulling teeth trying to find out what these gourmet hand-crafted mods are all about. It's like a secret society. Those in on it just assume everyone else knows. It's like those red soled shoes and since I didn't watch Sex in the City I didn't know about them. :p Gosh, when I went to college and got to be around rich people, my flipping through Bazaar wasn't education enough to keep me in the know. And to relate to the motorcycle talk, I wasn't familiar with what a Bentley was before I went to college and someone had a pink one. And I thought Jaguars were as exclusive as they got.
I'm enjoying reading this thread though. And I like learning about the metals.

I thought it was funny when I saw this cyclist mount her bike, roll a cigarette, strap on her helmet, light up, and ride away cigarette in mouth. Not just a regular Joe on a bicycle, she was wearing cycling shorts even. :p
The tires on those motorcycles scare me. They just look like they'd be slip sliding around.

This is the first I've heard you say this. Did you contact Jim about it or post. I read that you said it worked great and vaped great, right from the day you received it. How is it now you are advising of bad issues.
