I DIY my juices, and one e-juice calculator figures cost, it costs me about 1.80 per 30ml to make mine. I spent a total of around $70 for a 510 PCC, an eGO passthru, 5 cartos and enough stuff to mix juices for at least a couple of months, so even at $5 a pack for analogs, it shouldn't take too long for me to be ahead.

Ok, you've gotta share! lol Where the blue blazes are you getting bulk liquid that cheap? You've gotta be buying the stuff by the gallon, right? ;)

I get my VG at walmart, $2.50 for 177ml, 30ml 50mg nic, for $9.95 at xtremevaping, and assorted flavors at walmart, make sure they are not sugar or oil based, for around $2 for 60ml. I mix mine at 12mg nic and that goes a long way. If the VG is too thick, I use distilled water to thin it, $0.89 a gallon. Hey, I'm unemployed so I have to stretch a bit :). Haven't gotten anything but water by the gallon yet, but looking into it.

how is the nic? is it peppery or more flavorless?

Flavorless and I got the 100% VG this way I can cut it with PG that you can get for $22 a gallon at the tractor store. It has a nice kick to it and I'm very impressed. I had a gallon of PG nicotine and had to cut it with VG, now that was much more expensive for me.

If you get a gallon of nicotine that 30ml of 50mg would cost you around $3.10 :toast:

Cheaper?
For 2 of my office collegues it was much much cheaper. They stayed with the starter kits and just added Type B big tank atomyser. They wear quartz watches and have cheap mountain bikes from the super market.

For me the last 6 months had been very very very expensive with three "things" from Golden Greek, a Provari, 6 things from Bulli-Smoker, 50 catos and over 200 different Liquid bottles.

I also have already several automatic watches and a bicycle with the full Shimano Ultegra set.

Conclusion:
If you have a Seiko automatic watch, vaping will become very very expensive.

I'm definitely gonna have to save my money for that next time around. I should have a couple of months before I need nic. Thanks CaminoDiablo

Hi Andreas, welcome to ECF. I cannot equate how many bicycles per month, or how many watches per year cost as much as a cigarette habit. I do not have any bicycles, or any watches. If I had never smoked, I could have any bicycle or any watch I wanted!

Conclusion: If you only buy expensive things, you will always buy more expensive things!

Re DIY - both OneStopDIYShop and DIYFlavorShack sell reasonable priced DIY kits. Since I use high PG juices for cartomizers I would choose PG base and PG nic then separately buy some VG. And the DIY guide in ECF DIY section (in Tips & Tricks I think) has a guide you should read and that also include all of the popular sources of flavorings (there are about a dozen flavoring companies)

That's true, why all my stuff is worn out and rigged to work lol. Never had money but I do have nice ecig mods :)

Cheaper? Really?

I guess that depends on what you are putting the price on. I have been using vapor cigs for over a year now and added it up the other day. Considering the $250 I spent on rolled tobacco each month and the $800 I spent during the year using my vapor cigarette, I saved $1.600. That's a lot of money. As another said, your body has the chance to start healing. Which it will do if you give it the chance. It's a natural process.

Cheaper? I don't think anyone can put a price on your health. Do it for that if nothing else.

Hi there! Me again. Was just in the classifieds and noticed someone was selling some Djarum Black liquid! How cool is that? Wonder how close the flavor is to the real thing? Anyway, Djarum Black from Freedomsmokeusa. I vaped a ton of their liquids before I had to go to straight VG, and their flavors were usually pretty 'true to life'. Might be worth checking out, and seeing if flavor works for ya! ;)

I tell everyone I get into vaping the most expensive part of vaping is finding what you like. Once you find the juice volt battery atty/carto ect setup you like it gets to be more reasonable

I vape 10 ml a day I happen to like Tasty Vapor juice and I buy in bulk so my juice costs per month is about 60-70 bucks. I use DC cartos and use 1 every 3 days average so I need another 18 bucks for cartos. I also end up buying 1 set or batterys a month it seems (each individual set lasts much longer but I cycle them.) So my total disposable cost per month is under 100 bucks. When I smoked I smoked 2 PAD = 6 cartons a month = 300 bucks here.

I don't consider mod cost as a vaping cost mostly because if I gave up tomorrow I could get at least 70% of what I spent on mods and you get nothing back from smoking.

Anyways good luck with your search. It does get cheaper with time. However I think that the initial investment and trial and error is the biggest reason most people don't even give vaping a try.
