Chinese attack selling copy of ggts

I don't think that the fault is from China, the fault is from whom buy or allow unregulated business. In Portugal, for instance, Chinese stores (they look like mushrooms all over the places) are tax free for 5/10 years, there is no receipt, no "official" warranty, and the worst is that Portugal State don't receive any "official" taxes. After this time the store closes and another one with another name opens again..

In regards to my statement though, it stands.

I'm sick of the chinese unscrupulous business tactics of ripping off others to make a quick buck and from their lack of innovation.

They need to stick to making batteries for our pv's, since that's the only thing they seem good at.

That is never a bad thing, and yes I agree & share your concern about those who support them without thought. But if you look at the first two pages of this thread, you can clearly see what I'm talking about. I have a few really good and dependable Chinese friends who are aware of what is going on and are actively trying to stop it. Seeing those few "generalizing" posts puts a bad taste in my mouth even if they were not intended to be.

I total understand doke. Generalizing is dangerous and not fair. And to be honest, I came across more aggressively than I intended...and I'm sorry for that. One of my many faults is to jump the gun when my emotions are running high. This being a GG forum, many, probably most folks are not only passionate about GG but also protective of Imeo's interests and because of that, anger can run high when they see blatant stuff like this. Having said that, I think I can safely say that no one meant anything derogatory towards the Chinese people as individuals. This place is filled with awesome people!
One of the biggest attractions to this forum for me is the fact that we are from all over the world. It makes it easier to realize that we are very much the same and at the same time be able to see different points of view.
So let's get back to helping out the newbies my friend, and remind them when we can, the importance of supporting the modders who actually deserve the support.

no one can stop the Chinese, they have 0 moral when it comes to copying others peoples work, they have ripped pretty much every single businesses they can, from cars, clothes, electronics and even video games, Chinese government just dosent care and their laws pretty much protect them from every thing related to the subject even to patented products.

Just to point out that Ody copy selling right now in the States and EU countries is not China clone, it's from Germany. I'm talking about Terminator, sold ad Stormy's. So it's not only Chinese doing it.

I don't miss the real deal, if I do I would have bought all GG copy products (I have none of them) when I lost my GGTS from Vassilis posting and gave up my GGTS as present for Christmas. Come on Imeo, you knew how hard I tried to get my GGTS before Christmas last year. Why did I have to suffer and try to get GGTS? You should know that my friend.

I dont support coppies, that is the end of story. Don't buy coppies is the best way to fight. You can fight with harmony and not hurting the nation, where you get most of normal products for day to day life.

Don't you know that, even you buy products made in your own country, still there are some components inside that are made in China?

We make threads like this to inform people what is going on, so if they know, they not buy, so thiefs will die. Thats why thiefs care about threads like this dok my friend.
I think that we have thousands of creative threads on GG forum. Much more than all the other makers together! So having some threads about copies doesnt affect our image, only inform people that GG is copied for one more time, something that shows them what GG is and why it is copied.
Maybe you know what is going on e-cig world but others dont, especially the new users. Its not good to let them in dark. They must have the real info.

It's not about being hateful, the point being is that we don't need more of these threads. Do you think these imitators care about people who complain? Do you think they care about this thread? The answer is a clear NO. Making this thread and more of it is no different from standing by and watching. It doesn't take a genius to tell what is real and what is fake.

But we always have to point out the thiefs. If we dont report them then they will come to rob our houses too in a while

Vinny, you are a GG guy and people know that. Me too of course. If you didnt love GG series you wouldnt be here buddy. I just say that we have to report thiefs as I said to my previous post. The fact that they dont go to prison because law doesnt support us (because of the lack of a patent) doesnt mean that their acts are not the same as if someone steals our house.

According to the guy from Vapour freak (Ilkgül Cakan) - the German shop which sells the Ody Clone "Nautilus" - it is a copy made by his order. Partly in China and partly in Korea. He stated that he had to use several factories, to justify why his copy is more expensive then the ones which will soon flood the market ;o)

Its all bull sht quality. They only care about speed how fast something is issued. Where are the standards. No FKING STANDARDS. Its like ordering Chinese food. they come 15 minutes like yo did you actually cooked fresh food or was that pre cooked.

If they wanted to sell or make Imeos Genuine device they should of just made a business deal with Imeo but then again as fast they send it to Imeo for inspection will be as fast he sends it back for lack of quality and passion in the build of the device.

There are few things in this world that you can buy from someone that created it with his love, passion, and ingenuity. When one fines people of there craft that export so much passion into there design and final product there is really no price you can tag that product. Its priceless to the individual. China will never understand and produce that quality.

You are right Bish. I send 2 kinds of GG in China. The one was the GGT before 3 years and the result was a real ..... I send again to China a request to make for me an Iatty tube before 2 months. The result was not ok. Small problem with all threads, finish was not mirror (it had some very very fine lines per 0,3mm around the tube and the end of the tubes (the bottom of tubes where threads start) were not as shiny as they come from the Greece store. I was dissapointed for second time. The only really good thing was the laser. Very well made, and very very deep, something that I cant do here

I think we do need to be careful with generalizing about the Chinese people and their ability to create and produce ingenious things as they have been doing it for centuries. Yes, mass producing without regulation or strict standards has taken the forefront there but lets carefully choose how we say it, and also acknowledge that they are not the only ones mass producing knockoffs.
The real discussion should be about why people should not buy knockoffs...no matter where they are made. No one will produce them if there are no buyers. The only thing we can do about it, is not buy it, and try to convince people that do buy it, the harm they are doing in the long run...even to themselves.
