Does anyone else fear punching a couple of teeth out with a steel atomiser tip on a heavy mod? A spatial error followed by spitting blood? I've cushioned my tips with rubber caps scavenged from my wife's cartomisers, obviously with end holes cut in them. Perhaps I'm the only clumsy old fool....

There is a road on my daily commute that I will not vape while driving on for this very reason. It's got to be the bumpiest street in the city (although it's a major one) and I'm paranoid about punching the drip tip through my pearlies every time I'm on it. It's a six block 'no vape' zone.

Using a stainless steel drip tip isn't that hard to do. Some common sense does have to apply. I drive a WRX with a firm suspension and wait to vape after I pass over a bumpy stretch of road. I suppose stainless steel drip tips aren't for everyone. Anyone who has put the lit end of a cigarette into their mouth (for instance) may want to use soft plastic tips.

A Sigelei Zmax V5 is shorter than most 18350-18650 VV/VW mods but is much heavier than most due to the double thickness stainless steel tube needed for a strong telescopic design. I've vaped one for almost a year and a half with a stainless steel drip tip while driving a car, a boat, walking, etc. and have never chipped a tooth.

HEY! GREAT IDEA!! Now I know what to do with all those cute little Blu caps!

Since I'm also a piercer/pierced, I'm used to having metal in my mouth. My teefs were damaged goods about 13 years ago. But I don't really care for the sensation of the metal clearo tips between my teeth, so problem solved thanks to you. :)
