Good morning Voltville. Coffee is getting old, already, have to make some fresh. Cinnamon-raisin oatmeal and fruit for breakfast.

I don't want to steal Sandy's thunder, but I've been playing with my new camera, a Nikon D3200.

Just an amaryllis sitting on the kitchen counter.

Gorgeous! Please post more. I have a couple of amaryllis plants which have bright red flowers, but this winter, they didn't bloom. I've had them for years, and it's probably time to repot them or something. Any suggestions?

I don't know anything about them, my sister gave this to us a couple of years ago and it's been on the counter ever since. It does get sunlight in the early morning, but that's about it other than watering every once in a while.

I needed that coffee this morning even if it was sitting on the burner a little too long, Awsum

5:30am 42 degrees. yay, I can go outside and get some stuff done even if it is a bit windy

7:00am 35 degrees. Light the fire honey. I'm going to need to warm up when I get back from throwing hay to the critters.

Guess I have a great excuse to mostly get nothing done today.

Floods in Greece just in the news

I hope Kon is OK, maybe we will hear from him tonight.
Dude!!!! There is no natural disaster that can keep me down easy. Besides that, i'm like a cork, i float. I was in the middle of snowstorms and lots of rain while traveling at work but besides enjoying the rain and snow nothing more happened.

Let's hope the floods aren't in the area where he lives. I, too, hope he's OK.
Hm, i would gather food some stoves and go to the nearest telecom center for free internet. What else do you need?

What you saw was some over reacting from the Athenians, it rained a bit and they started crying and screaming like babies.

Sanyo sent me 16 batteries today (holy crap!) and i started testing. Theoritically i should be happy but i am sad generally for some reason. :(

I hope Uncle's nephew is fine, planes can be replaced or thrown away. Head's don't

Batteries make me a little sad, too, Kon but, of course, I had to pay for them:)

Glad you are okay, Kon.

Well. They would make me sad too if i had to pay them, eneloop XX - SANYO Component Europe GmbH only the charger with the AA batteries costs 40 bucks.
They sent AA and AAA sizes of two kinds.

I don't know, still a bit moody.

I'm old now and I figured out moods are like the weather, sooner or later they both change to something brighter. Unless, of course, you live in Seattle.

Sandy Su - Correction on Lizzie's RY4 that I mix

My RY4 recepie is 15% Dbl RY4, 5% Vanilla, 2% Tobacco Absolute and 5% caramel. It is as close to EC Blends mixed RY4 as I can get. Frankly it is just as good. My hands type faster than my brains work sometime. I did not mean to say 2% TFA I ment TA for Tobacco Absolute. I have no idea whether it adds anything or not, just that Lizzie recommended it in her orignal recepie. I only steep mine in the microwave for five (5) seconds. It gets warm, not hot, thins out the juice quite a bit until it cools off to room temp, but does help in blending the mix. Being part Jewish and part Scottish, I just can't see buying a $25 or much less $75 machine to steep a mix of flavors worth $3.00 just a little faster.

Yea, I hear you! I felt that way when I was young, just wait a few years and you will start to worry about everything. I agree the "News Media" blows almost everyting out of proportion. Our local paper headline is that our budget cuts will close our local airport. We are friends with the airport manager and he claims that is just not true and that the paper did not even attempt to talk with him before publishing the article. I can just see a retraction coming in tomorrow's edition.

That sounds good.

For you impatient steepers out there, here's a little update on my newest toy - http://www.harborfreight.com/ultrasonic-cleaner-3305.html . I put in 3 bottles of various juices that I've been steeping. I found a recipe for cowboy that said to let it steep for at least 3 weeks. I noticed a significant color change within an hour of this thing being in the ultrasonic cleaner. I found out about this via this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...eeping-times-ultrasonic-cleaner-part-iii.html

Some of the candy stuff doesn't need any steeping - like Lizzie's cinnamon danish recipe. But for those tobacco ones, this thing takes weeks off that time.

This looks like a niffy little device to have even if you don't diy... so many uses. :)

My truck is buried under about 4' of drifted snow, and I cannot even open my back door due to the deep drifts. I needed groceries, so I grabbed my insulated hunting gear (I don't care how silly I look- that stuff is WARM!) and my backpack, and made the 1.5 mile trek into town, got my stuff, and walked the 1.5 miles back home.

I'm only about a week or so out from quitting analogs, but BOY could I really tell the difference! No more wheezing and gasping for air; yeah I was panting, but that's because I was too hot, not because I was hypoxic/oxygen-deprived. I can only imagine just how much easier my hikes will be later this fall, as during hunting season it's not uncommon for me to walk several miles (with 50+lbs of gear) every day. Oh, and no more rotten cig smoke to spook game, either! :)

Hello KSfarmgal and Welcome! ;) Boy you guys got buried... 4' drifts? Hope no more gets added on top of that. I can't begin to imagine walking that distance in all that snow, weighted down with heavy clothes and a backpack.

It's amazing how much better you feel as your body gets adjusted to vaping. This is one wonderful and amazing journey to start. The best way that I know of to totally give up smoking. Good Luck! :thumb:

Okay - This is usually how I hear about things that happened in "My" Family and thought I would share . . .

It has to do with "My" Eldest Nephew who I just learned has moved down to northern Florida . . .

You just might find it as interesting as I did . . .

OMG Uncle!!! That was truly a miracle that your nephew made it out alive. That must have been a frightening experience for him. Thank God he's ok... however shaken he must be.

Welcome to Voltville Farmgirl
Looks like I have missed out on a lot of stuff (as usual ). JoAnn I hope your knee pain gets better soon.
I've got to tell this on myself as I feel that maybe it might come in handy for some of you at some point or the other. For 2wks I'd been sick, complete with fever. Went to my Doc got a shot of Rocephen and a script for Ampicillin and took 3000mg/day of that crap for 10 days. My fever never would break, my cold virus whatever it was (Dr didn't know) kept getting worse. My best friend who is a herbalist told me to make some tea just regular tea warm it,put a tsp of cinnamon and 2 TBSP of honey in it. I did and went to bed. That night my fever broke and the next day I felt better than I had in 2wks. I was amazed.
That simple recipe is a natural immune system booster, you can drink as much of it as you like, whenever you want it. Just thought I would share.

I'm so glad you are feeling better. That's a long time to carry a fever! I always keep honey on the shelf. It's great for so many things. Also, a bit of ginger mixed in helps too.

Another bit of info: manuka honey... a different type of honey with antibacterial benefits... only made in New Zealand. It can be ordered from Amazon.

First - The important thing is he is Ok from what I know . . . AND - He is NOT DEAD . . . :D

Second - Thanks for everyones concern - I appreciate "Your" good thought and well wishes for Him . . .:thumb:

Thrid - I surly am OK - I was not in the plane . . . Nor would I ever be . . . Just sayin' . . . ;)

Now . . .

Uncle, as the old saying goes, any landing you walk, or maybe swim, away from is a good landing! Not a fun way to end the flight though.

Ya' THINK . . . ;)

Sure did. He has to be one heck of a pilot

Honestly, I wouldn't know how good of a pilot he is, but he did get a Pilots License so someone thought he could fly a plane . . . ;)

Thank goodness he escaped relatively unharmed! What an experience!

OMG Uncle!!! That was truly a miracle that your nephew made it out alive. That must have been a frightening experience for him. Thank God he's ok... however shaken he must be.

Yes - It is very good that he physically escaped death and wasn't harm too much and no one else was hurt at all . . . Although - knowing him as I do - I am sure his "pride" has been somewhat damaged more than anything else . . . AND - I know "My" Sister (his Mother), Father, and his children and grand child - as the rest of the family - are happy he wasn't hurt too much and is alive too . . . :D

@ "Konstantine" - Very GLAD to read "You're" Okay . . . :D

Thanks Wabbit.

I went over to the OneStopeDIY Shop and ordered some flavors. I told Hubby I wanted to order and he said go for it. I say strike while the iron is hot! This is my first time ordering from there. I hope they work out.

Yes, Joanne, a day off is good but I hope the weather improves by this afternoon as I have a whole list of stuff to chip away at. In the meantime, I think I will redo my password list as it is a mess. I also need to write down all the phone numbers in my cell phone's phone list since it ate one. Can't be losing my phone #'s.

Time to turn on the TV and pretend like I am getting important work done.

Lzzie, what I liked about ordering direct from The Flavor Apprentice is the larger sizes 15 ML for $3.50. At Wizard Labs, you only get 5 ML for $1.50 so it is slightly cheaper if you find a flavor that you use a lot of. I have been experimenting this AM, since I love my peach an orange mix. I diluted the Peach and Orange, one drop to 10 drops of plain VG, then added one drop of the mix into 5 ML of my mixed RY4. So far it is a very very mild addition and works to add a little peach/orange tang to the RY4.

Today starts another week of cooking at our Church Homeless Shelter, so I need to eat some lunch, take a nap, and then head to cook up some hams, with chicken salad, left over soup from our Church soup sale, mac and cheese and green beans. These guys who are homeless love this meal.
