Hello "Volties" . . .
Really good to see some new people here (Hello) and "Wabbit" back from Vacation . . .
AND - More importantly, Very Nice to see - "Tail" back here and posting . . .
Now - I just thought I would do another FYI, since I have had to go through the process a number of years ago . . .
For most Insurance claims, know that (depending on the Insurance company) if you have
a replacement cost clause - that You should also add to that "spread sheet" what it would probably cost you to replace them same item today, especially since - from "My" experience - the Insurance adjuster will deduct the "years"/"time" you have own the stolen/destroyed item from the total amount you said it was worth when you purchased it new - some may even insist you submit the reciept/picture for the items you are claiming that were stolen/destroyed (Thankfully, I still had pictures of those items stolen and actually had some of the the items that were destroyed so he could see them for himself) . . .
AND - Then tell you that once you have replaced the item/similar item and submit a receipt for it - they will pay you the difference (maybe) that it cost you at today's price . . . I know it is a PIA - However, it's something to think about before you submit your claim . . .
Just Sayin' . . .
I really hope this information helps Ya' . . .
