JoAnn, glad to hear you got the all clear from the witch doctor!

Sandy, I'm sure Penny will adjust to her new pasture, it may take little time, but she undoubtedly will.

It's in the mid 70's here today with partly cloudy skies and a little wind. It sure is nice not to have to dress for the North Pole every day. Now, I don't thin I have to worry about freezing temperatures and my little hot house.

Well... I got the all-clear from my doctor and life is great. I don't have to return to him unless there is another flareup.

Sandy... if Penny still comes in heat, aren't you afraid she may leave you with a lot of little copper Pennies running around??

No, Petey is a gelding, so we're safe, but when Penny comes into heat, Petey acts very attached to her and possessive of her. It seems he attaches himself to a mare and is like that, because I remember when Penny first moved to this barn, he was attached to Ali like that. Then Ali got changed to another pasture -- not because of this, but she got sent to the diet pasture, because she was getting too fat -- and then Petey decided to focus on Penny. So there's no way Penny could get pregnant, but Petey's behavior hurt me, and I just don't want to deal with him in case of a repeat performance. I hear he ran over someone else after he did his number on me, too, so until Petey learns some manners, I don't consider him safe. When he really wants to go somewhere, a puny human isn't going to stop him.

Repair your head? You'll do it, Kon. You are so good at fixing everything else. I hope things get normal soon for you, too. It's good to hear from you again. You had me worried.

Nice to see you Kon. Yes, problems are common but so are solutions:) If not solutions then taking life as it is - that's my next best option:) Fortunately, most of my problems are garden related right now and I can always buy peas and green beans at the grocery store:)

A PURPLE 400mah spinner?!! I am soooo jealous. I really love that size spinner. I have a silver one and right now have an evod on it. Makes a good combination.

Well... here is a picture of my little on-the-go setups.

View attachment 200196
#1: Purple Vision spinner 400mah with matching Evod
#2 Blue Volt spinner 650mah with mini T3
#3 Black mini ego 400mah with Evod

As you can see, the 400 spinner is larger than the 400 mini ego but smaller than the 650 Volt spinner.

Happy to see you Kon! Sorry you are still having problems with your head. Are you still having blackouts? Maybe it's time to see the doctor. Please take care of yourself!!

Here's a rainy-day photo. No, it's not a tie dye, it's oil in the street when it rains, and it turns into rainbow colors. It may seem humdrum, but I've always liked this little bit of rainy day decoration, ever since I first discovered it as a kid. When I first saw it, I had no idea what caused it, what it was, and it seemed like magic.

Fun phot. The weather has sucked all day but I am toasty and warm having fired up the wood stove:)

I decided to bake some bread and some hamburger buns. They'll be going in the oven shortly now.

Putting off going outside.

Me, too. I didn't go to the library after all. No excuse. I just dawdled around all day, started reading a new book. There was a little sun for a while, but I knew it wasn't to be trusted, that it would rain again in minutes, so I didn't even take a walk. My big excursion was out to the mailbox -- no mail came today.

Yep, homemade hamburger buns. I make a two loaf batch of bread. Then, I cut the dough unequally so I get a bigger loaf of bread and make the smaller portion into 4 burger buns. That way I don't have to have a bunch of frozen store buns in the freezer:)

Burgers with salad for dinner tonite.

We took Bo to the vet today. He's been having trouble getting up from laying down and limping, both front legs, but not all the time. So, just to be safe we took him to the vet. First thing is he's now on Weight Watchers or Nutri System! He's up to 169, put on almost ten pounds! Somebody is a soft touch with the treats, and no it isn't me, LOL. He also seems to have a sensitive spot in his "lower" back so now he's on anti-inflammatories and, basically, aspirin.

Penny Poo Poo is doing the same thing and I haven't taken her to the vet yet. I'm cutting back her calories and making sure she doesn't leap from tall tables, as much as possible. I don't encourage her to get on the couch but she does it anyway. The problem is she then has to jump off of the couch.

Penny had been a food hog since we put her the phenobarbitol. She has gotten into several items from inside the pantry. She shewed the dog food container open and ate so much I thought that would kill her. I gave her peptobismal. She must have ate 10 times her normal amount of food. Fortunately she didn't die. It was a Sunday and we just did not want to pay for emergency vet care.

She never behaved like this pre med but at least she isn't having any seizures.

Bo is a food hound without a doubt. He ate something he shouldn't have a few weeks ago and ended up needing the chicken and rice diet for about a week and a half. That's fairly high calorie so maybe it contributed to his weight gain. We should have noticed, but sometimes the obvious gets missed all to easily. We had to add a link to his collar because it was getting a little snug, duhhhhhh.

Awsum -do you give Bo glucosamine and chondroitin? That seems to be the natural way to help with arthritis. Whisper is a chow hound too. She'll eat until she explodes. I cannot leave food down, so she is a eat on demand dog. Breakfast and dinner with one greenie a day. A couple of small treats if I come home for lunch. She will help me nibble on some carrots and apples when I'm at home though. She's a very high energy dog so I don't worry about too much weight gain, although she does pick up a few ounces during the winter. I certainly wish I only picked up ounces instead of pounds! Lucky dog!!! :)
