Ya know, I was into French presses for awhile, until I read somewhere that, although filtered coffee is good for you and chock-full of antioxidants, UNfiltered coffee can raise your LDL cholesterol and in other ways be not-so-good for you. I think that was one of the things that made me stop drinking coffee, cuz if I can't have it thick and syrupy, I don't want it. When I do go back to coffee, I think I'll probably get one of those vacuum coffee maker things:
vacuum-coffee-maker.jpg

(there's a microfilter in there somewhere.)

I have a French press, a percolator and a grind and brew coffee maker and buy beans instead of ground. Coffee is serious business for me. lol I really love coffee, the first thing I do in the morning is put on a pot of coffee.

When I was in Greece we had a choice of American, French or Greek coffee every morning. I always took American or French, but one day while I was out I ordered a cup of Greek coffee. The guy made it in of those big copper or brass thing-of-a-jiggies. Whoa! I drink my coffee black but that cup took lots of cream and sugar to get it down.

It seems to me that at least the chatters on today are all caffeine freaks as well as vapers, /i relate, one of the hardest things about quitting smoking for the last few years was the cross addiction with my (4 black-eye(two shots of espresso poured over a bold coffee)) caffeine dependency. Coffee without cigarettes was nearly unbearable.

vaping has slid into that groove beautifully. I am enjoying my Morning through early afternoon coffee beverages with a constant supply of 555 and 4 batteries.

BTW: I am feeling much better and finally got back to running my business today. Yay Team!!!

Is your pluggy-in carafe with a pump a French Press? I've thought of trying those ...

+1 on coffee that can support the spoon. I dated a plastic surgeon for awhile that got me hooked on Turkish coffee. It's served in these little tiny demitasse, but maaaan - one serving and your eyeballs are propped open for 24 hours. Slight exaggeration, but you get the drift ...

And after you finish the Turkish coffee, you can turn the cup upside down and tell the drinker's fortune. The patterns the grounds make along the side of the cup suggest pictures, and you just make something up from that. Like, if it looks like a heart, you tell the drinker there's romance in their future.

Yeah, what he said. It doesn't evaporate, but it denatures and loses its potency. I only brought it up because I'm one of those that don't think keeping the cap off for very long is a good idea.

Update from ECBlends: they don't add ethyl alcohol into the mix, but it's in a lot of manufacturers' flavorings, so they listed it on the label....and of course, I ordered double extra flavoring! :p
I think I just need to let it steep a little. Then it won't be so harsh on the TH...
Other vendors may differ, but here's an uber-informative sheet on their website: What's in e-liquid?

OK, so now I'm back to saying that throat hit depends not only on nic level but on the flavor. If the flavor has alcohol, the TH is probably stronger than if it doesn't.

I hear you, Marlou. I have been drinking coffee as far back as I can remember. I have never been able to drink milk...cannot stand the taste. My mother would let me have coffee for breakfast when I was a child.

Good Wednesday to everyone.

I am completely out of control. I have ordered prefilled cartos of Classic Grape, RY4, Cowboy, 555, a Sweet Sampler, 5 packs of the blank XL cartos and purple drip tips. :D Knowing SI's CS, they will probably be here before bedtime.:vapor:

I like Turkish coffee shekerli, which is with sugar, but w/o any cream or milk. I don't think they add cream or milk to coffee in Turkey. As long as they can put sugar in it, I'm fine w/o milk, but I can't stand any coffee black. In fact, I have an e-liquid that is black coffee, as far as I'm concerned, and I bought another e-liquid that tastes creamy to see if I can add a little sugar and cream to that coffee. If it doesn't work, look for me trying to trade that coffee flavor for something more vapeable.

In my pantry I probably have 7 or 8 different coffees. Some I drink black, some with just sugar, some with cream and sugar, some with kahlua, some with irish creme, some with amaretto - I try to avoid using milk - just does not feel right. Morning - first cup - strong and black. After noon - medium roast usually a good french. Night - flavored coffees or Black Silk (very smooth)... I drink 5 - 8 cups a day on average - depends upon what I am doing and the time of the year (winter I drink more)...

I vape coffee - no creamer and no sweetner, but I do not vape it straight - I use accents (cherry, irish creme, amaretto, kahlua, etc.) just like I do with my real coffees.

If you do not like your coffee liquid - before you give up on it - try accenting it with something that goes with coffee and your taste buds with coffee - you might find a new favorite vape...

I think I'll give that one up as too strong. It's like drinking black coffee. I recently ordered some other coffee flavors with other flavors, like hazelnut, and they taste much better. Any of you black coffee drinkers out there want to trade a bottle of black coffee (called dark roast) for something else?

OK, I discovered I even had it already listed in the trade section. See http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...d-nicquid-batts-cartos-etc-out-old-new-5.html

Today I got the chance to give someone a Smokeless Image card. I met a friend for breakfast and our waitress noticed me showing my friend my Volts. She told me she was interested in trying e-cigs.....she wanted so badly to quit smoking. I told her how good the Volt was she was happy to have the card so she could check out the website. I wish I'd had one of those try-me volts to give to her. Might be a good idea to get one to have for the next time this happens.

Absolutely a good idea. I took 4 of these very basic kits in to work with me so I can give out loaners to those who may want to try them. Thinking about putting one of them in my car though, for on the go. I wish I'd had them earlier. A guy at work was steered my way a few weeks back by his team lead (who is a friend of mine) when he said something about wanting to quit smoking. I talked to him about my ecigs and gave him a card, but he stopped at wally world and picked up a basic kit instead of ordering one. Downside is he didn't try Volt, but the upside is he has kept with it and hasn't been smoking tobacco cigarettes. He stops in now and again to talk with me about ecigs, and looked kind of bummed when I showed him the new loaners. The kit he picked up is not compatible with 808 cartridges. He said he's ok with his kit, but I'll loan him one of the Volts if he really wants to try them. Just as long as he stays off tobacco cigarettes, then I'm happy.

Me too. Got my cart loaded with way more than enough to get the free shipping.

Quote for pure and simple truth. I'm definitely waiting for a sale this time, as I am not only adding to my own arsenal, but a friend in Montana is getting a kit, and another special gift is in the works for someone, too. Hopefully, this will get the "toy store" out of my system and I can concentrate on carts and liquids from now on.
