Just so you all know, I really, really like the Smokeless Image forum. Great products from SI, yes, but the most wonderful folks to hang out and have fun with here.

Couldn't have said it better!

Everyone here is wonderful and extremely helpful. Made me feel right at home :)

Ya know, I was into French presses for awhile, until I read somewhere that, although filtered coffee is good for you and chock-full of antioxidants, UNfiltered coffee can raise your LDL cholesterol and in other ways be not-so-good for you. I think that was one of the things that made me stop drinking coffee, cuz if I can't have it thick and syrupy, I don't want it. When I do go back to coffee, I think I'll probably get one of those vacuum coffee maker things:

(there's a microfilter in there somewhere.)
Yay Cincycated, that device could be used in chemistry too. Interesting.

And after you finish the Turkish coffee, you can turn the cup upside down and tell the drinker's fortune. The patterns the grounds make along the side of the cup suggest pictures, and you just make something up from that. Like, if it looks like a heart, you tell the drinker there's romance in their future.
Yeah i remember old ladies doing that, they stopped doing it lately.

I like Turkish coffee shekerli, which is with sugar, but w/o any cream or milk. I don't think they add cream or milk to coffee in Turkey. As long as they can put sugar in it, I'm fine w/o milk, but I can't stand any coffee black. In fact, I have an e-liquid that is black coffee, as far as I'm concerned, and I bought another e-liquid that tastes creamy to see if I can add a little sugar and cream to that coffee. If it doesn't work, look for me trying to trade that coffee flavor for something more vapeable.
I'm working on it. Sometimes flavors do not work that way because you can change flavor molecules by reacting with each other (like most chemicals do) and the result is different.

that's so nice of you to keep extra's for other people :)

Absolutely a good idea. I took 4 of these very basic kits in to work with me so I can give out loaners to those who may want to try them. Thinking about putting one of them in my car though, for on the go. I wish I'd had them earlier. A guy at work was steered my way a few weeks back by his team lead (who is a friend of mine) when he said something about wanting to quit smoking. I talked to him about my ecigs and gave him a card, but he stopped at wally world and picked up a basic kit instead of ordering one. Downside is he didn't try Volt, but the upside is he has kept with it and hasn't been smoking tobacco cigarettes. He stops in now and again to talk with me about ecigs, and looked kind of bummed when I showed him the new loaners. The kit he picked up is not compatible with 808 cartridges. He said he's ok with his kit, but I'll loan him one of the Volts if he really wants to try them. Just as long as he stays off tobacco cigarettes, then I'm happy.

you have come a long way ...keep at it one cup at a time :p

It seems to me that at least the chatters on today are all caffeine freaks as well as vapers, /i relate, one of the hardest things about quitting smoking for the last few years was the cross addiction with my (4 black-eye(two shots of espresso poured over a bold coffee)) caffeine dependency. Coffee without cigarettes was nearly unbearable.

Vaping has slid into that groove beautifully. I am enjoying my Morning through early afternoon coffee beverages with a constant supply of 555 and 4 batteries.

BTW: I am feeling much better and finally got back to running my business today. Yay Team!!!

I have asked this question before and got some replies, but I can't find the replies, so I'll ask again. Do the new batteries draw like the original ones or are they different? I like a rather tight draw, like a regular cig has with a filter. Some of my batteries are "airy" as if you are sucking through a straw. Any opinions appreciated! :)

Isn't the carto slotted so you can adjust the air flow?

That's exactly right. Use a small screwdriver or a nail file or something similar and turn the slotted plug at the end of the carto so that it is NOT aligned with the air holes. Just a bit, or the plug can fall out.

Just remember when you screw the carto back on the batt it will misalign your post, gotta account for that too.
