GEESSS - I'm just finally falling asleep then . . .ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ! ! ! ! ! !

(Usually have problems going to sleep . . . nap 1/2 hour - up - back down 1/2 hour - up . . . You get the idea :D )

Yep, been fighting insomnia myself. I have actually stayed in bed until almost 7:30am a few times - I know I know, but for me that is late late late...

Ahhh, Semi. I suspect when I retire I will want to sleep in - a lot - and my body probably won't let me. :glare:

On the foot note (no pun was intended, really), I just got back from the doctor. Increased my lasik to 20mg (lowest dosage but I was splitting that little tiny pill for half), put me on potassium supplements, told me to keep soaking in the cool water (you were spot on with that one), and keep it elevated. I go back in 2 weeks on follow up. Mostly looking at water retention and heat, as I'd wondered. I'm a big lady, always have been, but diabetes is out. Except for my weight, I'm heathy, lungs and heart and liver and kidney are all good (only one kidney - birth defect). So, doctor's assistant told me it was supposed to rain today and all through the weekend. Doesn't look like it right now. But oh boy, I'm praying for it!! And it sure was nice to hear the doctor say my lungs were clear and sounded really good. Yay!!

Morning Wuzz
My day started out with a 40 min beginners cardio workout i put together to get me back into shape for the ski season. As much as i'd like to think im still fit, its just not the case and I am hoping to continue with it even after i get back from the snow. How is your day going

Sorry but I left while you were still catching up. Had a lot to do this morning. I do a good 45 min cardio twice a week but keep it down to about 20 min the rest of the week plus whatever I happen to get with my normal activities. And that's more than a lot of folks get I guess. My day is going great thank you.

You left out Lilac Unk. She's often around early.

Uncle, my friend, I was actually up at 5 a.m., so I'd already been up 2 1/2 hours.

Me too Rave. I just try to post quietly so I don't wake anybody.

I know what you mean Semi. I sleep fine at night and pretty good in the morning but all afternoon I just toss and turn.:D

All the vehicles I drive are white, windows are tinted and I have sun reflective screens up when I get out. When I come back to my cars I do not get hit with a heat blast when I open my cars (or truck) - my truck also has an air circulation vent that turns on if the inside temp gets to high - works like a charm...

well aren't you fancy schmancy. ;)

...I think I fell asleep at 5 a.m....

Every one has different body clocks. Depending upon the job, part of the world, and just lifestyle... Being retired military I have worked every shift you can think of - including non normal shifts. My favorite shift was 3/4am to 12 noon... Had the whole town to myself in the afternoon while everyone else was working. No traffic, stores were empty - it was great...

Glad to hear your good news, Kia. Take care of that foot, Girl.

To each his own. I've had to work hours like that when we cater a breakfast, and it's horrible to have to get up so early! I'd rather work from mid-afternoon till about 10 or 11 p.m. That way, I don't have to get up early, and I still have the morning to myself, like you had the afternoons.

My favorite hours, though, were freelancing, when I could work whatever hours I felt like. If it was a gorgeous day, I went riding and then worked at night. If it was bad weather out, then I stayed home and worked and made up time I lost during good weather. I found that when I didn't have to get up for any reason, I usually woke just a little after dawn. That means I slept later in winter than in summer. If I got tired during the day, I could take a nap, and if I wanted to stay up late, nothing was stopping me.

What bliss! I sort of miss that kind of schedule, though I do like the catering, too. Getting out among people is a novelty after so many years of solitary work.

Many years ago, I used to work from 4 PM to 2 AM, and I would go grocery shopping at a (then rare) 24-hour supermarket. Shopping went real fast - I had the store pretty much to myself.

I was at a 24-hour Safeway at around 2 a.m not too long ago. The Muzak started playing Aretha's Chain Of Fools - I, of course, started singing along and dancing down the aisle! Mind you, I was there by myself. Luckily it was just me and the stockpeople there...aahh, fun times!

Not by much but thanx. No night shift for me this time.

Yep, it is almost night night time for me also. We have had a few days of rain lately so we are going blueberry picking again in the morning - they should be good and ripe after the rain... In just the last 3 days we have picked about 500 figs off of our two trees. It is time to buy larger jars for the jam...
