Hey guys! I missed you all.
btw all i could read was "Food can be extremely aggressive, and at some times they will chase you and attack. It's best not to let them ... um ... take over your front deck."

How is it hangin?
haha, my mind would've gone there too if I weren't vegetarian...

Should be more work creeping up towards the holidays, right? I'm thinking about getting weekend work at a store...

Heh! Cindy the vegan thingy doesn't work here cause the quality of the food is really high and clean. Look up the mediterranean cuisine which these days is based mostly on the cuisine of Crete island.

Anyway, i'm tired of anything now, i just don't care.

Oh Konstantine - I'm so sorry that you and your country are going through this. I wish that there were something that we could do. Just know that we're all pulling for you and that you are in our thoughts. Hang in there!

As was said in another thread "you can't cure stupid". She showed the turkey she was afraid which only made it more agressive. Once she was in the car all she had to do was blow the horn and it would have taken off. It was interesting to see the camera pulsing with her heart beat once she got into the car though, she was kind of frightened to say the least. I do wonder what attracted the turkey to her in the first place, maybe the camera or maybe her perfume. Local reporters have a big disadvantage, no cameraman, they're their own crew.

I think I can answer your question-pheremones. Plus her carrying on like a banshee. But I might have been as bad or worse if I had been in her shoes. HOWEVER once I got IN THE CAR I would have driven off instead of acting like I was trapped.

Yeah, but is it purple?

haha, you keep interjecting with that one, and I'm still trying to figure it out.:laugh: Touché!

Sorry, it's kind of an inside joke to indicate silliness, or in some cases craziness or confusion. Many years ago I worked as a volunteer tutor for a teenager who had been diagnosed with both ADD and schizophenia. The first time we met, this was our conversation:

Me: "Hi, I'm Paulette ... what's your name?"
Student: "I went to school this morning."
Me: "That's great, what was your name again?"
Student: "It was purple."

So "purple" is just my standard answer when I'm acting a little crazy, LOL.

Good Morning Volties. My cousin has kind of tamed the wild turkeys on her property. It started with two and now there are about 6 that visit her daily. She sits on the porch and they come up for her to feed them...

Do they come right up to her for her to feed them? That USED to be my goal until Rave and Blues told me how aggressive they were. I'll still feed them but now I'm not so keen of the idea of them hanging out with me if you know what I mean.

Good Saturday morning. Volties.

I have no experience with wild turkeys, but I can tell you firsthand that roosters and mama hens can be pretty aggressive, too. I've been chased by hens on the farm and saw a mad rooster in action. I was 4 or 5 at the time and it was darn scary.

I know what you mean, that was when I took to cow riding.

That's too cute. Love it !!!

It was hysterical when she was filming through the front windscreen and all of a sudden its head popped up.

I have had TWO great days of nothing but farm life !!! Yesterday I was able to get a twine halter on CJ first time he has been fooled with as far as training goes. He's 2yrs old and I figured I'd have a problem naaa. Kola,(avi) the home grown filly has proven to be my problem child. We were doing sooo good with the free round pen lounging until I thought "WOW she is going to be a breeze to work with" WHY did I entertain that thought knowing horses are telepathic !!! From then on our body language conversation turned into an argument. I finally won that battle. Then I went to put her halter on her and it was too snug, she didn't want to wear a halter that had been on one of the others (Diva that she is) she pouted about that, and got even with me after I got finished grooming her she just politely rolled in the sand and I had just put a leave in conditioner in her mane AND tail. She was still mad at me this morning and after she finished eating pooped in her feed bucket.
So to cool off I went and got her a new halter, then took her back to the round pen worked with her and we had a MOST enjoyable day despite her starting out as a toot.
I slept out under the stars last night with my yearlings ,went to sleep listening to some coyotes in the distance,a hoot owl hooting and heard a passing screech owl,and horses munching on hay. I woke up between two colts and one standing over me like a mare does her foal when its asleep.
Its incredible

I was ROTF at that point in the video, also yelling at the screen "stop antagonizing the turkey!" Obviously, this woman has NEVER been out of the city -- heck has she even been out of her house before? Just saying.

This just absolutely cracked me up. It also made me glad that I don't keep horses! Ended up nice though, didn't it? :)
