You didn't make me feel bad at all, I just wonder what I'm doing wrong. It may still be too warm here its in the 70's and we still have a lot of green leaves and stuff. I sure would love to visit you sometime maybe we could camp out.

Now that would be great!! 'Course, it'd be best to wait for warm weather again. Don't think for a minute that I was kidding either. fire.gif

Sitting down, facing forward.
Sorry I didn't get on to offer coffee early this morning. I'll try and get some hard rolls for tomorrow morning. I was up and did get on, but then the day went down hill rather quickly and I never got the chance. I did manage to "console" Uncle on his ticket though. Really sorry I missed the bread when it was fresh, that's when it's best, with lots of fresh butter and maybe some jam, blackberry or blueberry. Now I'll have to get some yeast and bake some myself.

Hiya Spoon, welcome to the fray!

I haven't seen deer in my backyard either. This side of the street is fenced in pretty much, but I do see them across the street behind the neighbors where the woods starts up again. Usually a small herd of six or eight as they start their evening rounds. They have crossed the street a few times and I'm sure they could get over the fences with no real problem, but I guess they figure it isn't worth the effort. Wild turkeys are a regular sight though.

A can of spinach for dinner? Jeesh, frozen is better than canned. Now I feel guilty about the shrimp scampi I whipped up for dinner (not really, it was good!).

Now there may be an old fashioned Northeaster on Wednesday and Thursday. This time we may get some snow as well as lots of rain and wind. It all depends on the track. The folks who lost it all and are in shelters will probably be stuck there for quite a while, and now looting has started and gas is getting hard to get in North Jersey, New York, Staten Island and Long Island. Some people haven't gotten any help at all, yet, but hopefully will get some over the weekend. It's so bad just getting people and supplies in to some areas is almost impossible unless it's airlifted in.

It was one of those days, ended up on the phone most of the day and I hate the phone. That comes from years of running a security business, the phone never stopped, 24/7/365, for years. So if you're thinking of starting a security business, don't unless you love talking on the phone!

Now, if you empty that can out into a pastry crust, add in some onion, parsley, dill and feta, and bake it for a little while, you might have something there...did you just open up the can and start eating it, Popeye?
Popeye-Spinach.jpg

Sounds good, but I was in the mood for "simple". I did heat it up ....

What can I say? I like spinach.

Oh man - thanks for the update Awsum. I haven't been watching the news. Hang in there. I hate talking on the phone too, with very few exceptions.

Awesome. I always like to end training on a positive note.

The miniature horse has been getting a little wild when I am leading him. He saw his shadow the other day and started bucking. I gotta put a stop to that. It is becoming a habit.
Lizzie I have never worked with mini's but what I do with mine is turn their heads into me sharp like, that disengages the hindquarters and every time he bucks do it. You can try and see if it works for you

Thanks for the training hint. I do know this has to stop. He isn't big but I can still get hurt. I want him to stop and hold still if he is upset or shying at something, not hopping around like a bunny.

If he's acting more spooky than usual, it might be a magnesium deficiency. The cheapest way to supplement magnesium is to get magnesium oxide in a 50-lb. bag from a feed store. It's used for cattle, but horses can eat it, too. Give about 3 teaspoons a day to a 1000-lb. horse. You can figure out what he should get by his weight based on that. The mag ox is in a powder form, not terribly palatable, so you might want to mix it with something more tasty, like a little soaked beet pulp. If you are feeding him grain, stop the grain, and if he gets pellets, make sure they are low in sugar and starch. The extra calories might be making him wild. If you're afraid he'd lose weight, feed more hay, not more grain. Then again, if it has recently become more cold and windy, it might just be the weather.

I thoroughly grossed out my son today - which is actually almost impossible. That is, unless you're having a can of spinach for dinner.

Hmmm; I can visualise slightly bored...but grossed out??? Whatt??? Spinach is good stuff; I've even had a "tender stomach" that needed feeding judiciously, and canned spinach is just the trick.

I have a question-after you have vaped for 6mos or so did any of you cough a lot ? I've had a persistent productive cough for about a wk now,I'm not sick, and I don't feel bad, just wondering if this is my lungs getting rid of the crud from smoking all those yrs. If that be the case I don't want to take a cough suppressant

I went through a spell like that at about six weeks or so after I quit smoking/began vaping - but not six months. You might want to do a search in the Health section of the forum. That seems a bit delayed ...

Morning everyone.
I have had the flu the last week and haven't had anything to say. I've been lurking all week.
I've been watching the tv news alot and bumming for you all that were in the storm. Imagine posted below, no elec or gas. I'm wondering where all this swift relief is for them that was promised. Gov't bureaucracy!! It's thick as glue and they are slow as snails!

Raynes, about your coughing. Could be not related to vaping at all. I have been off cigarettes about 3 months and a couple weeks ago I had a heaviness in my lungs. I was really congested. I thought maybe it was the new liquid I ordered, had a high VG amount. Or could my lungs be cleaning out....after 3 months? Didn't know what to think and didn't want it to be because of vaping. So I stopped vaping it, went back to the liquid with the high PG and took congestion cough medicine. But then my non-smoking co-worker, my non-smoking husband, and my (also a non-smoker) daughter all told me that they were experiencing the same symptom.
So it was something going around....not related to the vaping at all. Then I caught the flu, that's been going around. But that's not because of vaping either. In fact, I've been noticing I haven't been having sinus issues this year. I wonder if the vaping is actually helping things.
Donno.....but that's my story and I'm sticking with it...yeah, that's the ticket....it's helping! LOL!

I like spinach, too! When my husband goes to the farm market he always brings me back the spinach pies they make there. Love 'em cold or warm!! :)

I hate texting on the phone worse than talking on the phone, and I really hate talking on the phone!

I hate talking on the phone, too. And I do it for a living, too. Maybe that's why, though, because I answer ringing phones all day long.
But I love to text. I think that is more fun.
