Awesome story! Reminds me of the first time I saw puppies being born. I was only 4 yrs old. My parents found me asleep in the dog bed with the mama & puppies the next morning.

I've been lurking over at the DIY thread for the last couple of weeks, and I've started filling my cart at WL. Holly, this is your fault! :glare:

Yea, I love turkey salad, too! I like mine on Italian rolls with sliced tomatoes & chopped green onions on top.

Today is my Grandfather's birthday, and I would like to honor his day by sharing a story with you.
When I was kid my Grandfather wanted to show me what a miracle life is, so he bred our Fiest (Pokey) and Poodle (Old man). (Can you imagine?)
Pokey was due to have her pups any day but we had to go to my Aunts for Thanksgiving and it was bitter cold, below freezing. So when we returned Pokey met us and she was no longer pregnant. My Grandfather and I found the pups frozen on the porch steps. He took them wrapped them in a blanket, turned the oven on put them in there with the door open and started massaging the pups gently. In a few minutes my Grandfather had brought them back to life.
Still Pokey would have NOTHING to do with them,so Mother calls the vet gets bottles and milk and her and my Grandfather took turns nursing these pups. There were three pups and they all lived.
So while I didn't get to see the miracle of the birth process, I did get to witness an even miracle.
Thank you all for letting me share, you ALL have a GREAT day !!!

Thanks for sharing that Raynes. Your grandfather sounds like a gentle and very caring man. You were fortunate to have grown up under his guidance. It goes to show you... life WILL find a way.

Oh my, Lizzie. Your horse is absolutely adorable. And, don't worry, there are rescue horses always available. You do need to give that some thought after you are walking on stable ground.

Raynes, probably the best Thanksgiving story I've ever heard.

I am not free on Thanksgiving day. However, anytime after that for leftovers I'm in. Seeded rye bread, Uncle. My favorite.

Holly, you turned into a mixing maniac. And now you're getting others involved as well. Good for you.

Everyone enjoy yourselves!!!

It's a shame it's a size small. I doubt it would fit me. It looks like what I want, and the price is right. I probably need a size large, medium at least. I'm 5' 5' and weigh 145 at the last doctor's appointment when they weighed me.

Yeah, but you're skinny, and they run on the big side... ;)

Lizzie,I'm glad that you are thinking about getting Wiseguy a friend. He's as cute as a button and I'm glad that you are responsible with him and realize that even though he is tiny and cute he's still a horse. I'm grinning from ear to ear to hear that you are thinking about adopting one HOWEVER please becareful and take someone with experience in training along with you so you'll be sure to get one that is safe for you and Wiseguy. You'll also want a place to quarantine the new guy from Wiseguy just to be on the safe side for 4-6wks (or I would) and that will give you some time to bond with the new guy,and a safe way to introduce each pony safely.
Here's a tip -- if one approaches you with its ears back --pass it up.

Oh my ... glad to hear that. I've never found a pre-made peach that I liked, so I'm glad to hear this one is good ... I already had it in my cart. So far I've added watermelon (my fav ADV), cantaloupe, butterscotch, Irish cream, pear, juicy peach & pineapple plus assorted mixing equipment.

I'm still trying to decide the pg/vg mix I want. I've been having some sneezing issues with the pre-made juices over the last few months. At first I thought it was the vg since I had previously only vaped 100% pg. But now I'm not so sure -- maybe it's the flavorings. My watermelon juice is 65/35 pg/vg, and it doesn't make me sneeze. But I am now sneezing constantly when I try to vape my vanilla custard & enigma juices. Enigma tastes like vanilla cupcakes basically. And I love the vanilla custard, but maybe that has diacetyl in it? I hope I haven't developed an allergy to vanilla, cuz that would just suck.

Moon,,,,,,,,WL doesn't use anything with diaeticyl or however you spell it,,,,,,,

sounds like the PG is making you sneeze,,,,,,when did you quit? I sneezed for months afterwards, and I think it was just SNEEZING to get rid of the gunk in my nose, etc,,,,,,

which butterscotch did you get,,,,I got the Loranns and I didn't care for it :( Letting it steep,,,,,might help,,,,,but next time I'm going for the other brand they have.

Holly, I purchased the vanilla custard juice pre-made from a vendor. So I'm not really sure what's in it. That's why I'm wondering about the diacetyl (really bad for you). But I think to be on the safe side, I'm going to order 100%pg base. I'm more into flavor than huge vapor production, so that will probably work for me.

I'm ordering the TFA butterscotch. Which one did you use to make your buttery nipple recipe?

Edited to add: Holly, guess we were both posting at the same time, LOL. Now I see your post about the BN -- you must be psychic, anticipating that I was going to ask you about that.

one of the greatest things about DIY is you know EXACTLY whats in it,,,,,,and can more easily narrow down any problems,,,,,IMHO.

That's the main reason I want to give DIY a try. I have been vaping for over 3 years and never had the sneezing problem until I started ordering juices with vg in them. I was trying to get away from my cheaper sources, cuz I'm sure they all came from China & I really wanted US-made juice. But guess I should have been a little more discerning about the vg.
