My first car was a 64 Mercury, HUGE car! It had no power steering or power brakes. First time I jumped in to drive it away, I got to the corner and could not turn!! LOL! Even after I got used to it, I had a tough time turning the wheel if I had to brake at the same time. It was a total gas hog, but amazingly I remember putting in a buck or two worth of gas and cruising around with a car full of friends all day. Only about a hundred years ago or so...... It looked like this:

That's what I saw yesterday. I think I fell in love with it.

Doing What?

Our coffee is quite stale by this time, and my pot is cleaned up already. We will be having dinner soon on this side of the Earth.

Our discussions while you got your beauty sleep were on cars and rock and roll, favorite songs and artists. I saw where you are or were a mature hippy? Sorry to say I never was and kind of regret it.....have had a blessed, conservative life, boring but satisfying.

Hope your day is cooler in Oz.

I was only a baby in the 60s... my grandmother....loved jim morrison...Fleetwood mac....she was a true hippy chick...she loved growing roses........I sorta remember when jim died...how upset she was....we made a grave in her garden for jim...and we danced to all his tunes........she use to kidnap me from my parnets and take me on adventures in her vw bug....stop at a phone box to tell them she would have be back save and sound in a few days that turned into a week or more....my parnets were not happy......but it was fun for me....

SandySu... Did you get your cape? How's it working for you?

I got the poncho someone found on eBay. I haven't worn it outside yet, but it's very nice. Just one thick layer of wool, though, so it may not be warm enough on cold days. Recently, I was given permission to not wear my sling if I feel comfortable without it, so now I can get my arm into the sleeve of my winter coat. Not wearing the sling gives me a lot more freedom to do things like wash the dishes. After not wearing the sling for hours, though, I usually put it back on for more support. But I can wear a regular coat when I need to. When I can get my arm into a heavy sweater, the poncho would be great over that. I want to put it on and get someone to take a picture of me in it, then post it here, but so far, that hasn't happened.

Good Evening Volties on this side of Earth, and Good Morning to those in OZ and New Zealand. Haven't seen Debra on yet, perhaps she is not up yet.
I just cleaned a batch of SI cartos this afternoon, which is their fourth cleaning since October and they are still going strong. No word from Wizard Labs on when my DYI flavors will be shipped. I just hope I can make some tasty juice, otherwise it will be a waste of money, time, and good e-liquid.
From the nature of our morning discussion of cars and rock and roll I gather most of us are children of the 50s and 60s except for maybe KIWIVAP who did not recognize an old American Merc and that would be understandable since I believe she is in New Zealand.

I wonder where our friend is View attachment 157572

Keep Calm and Carry On as they say :thumb:

I was thinking the same, that we are probably mostly baby boomers. I wonder what the demographics of vapers is. Is it mostly people over 50, or is that just who mostly posts here?

So, I bought 2 volt batteries and a nano clearomizer from smoklessimage. Did I need to buy a kit to receive the extra battery with a picture or would I be eligible with what I bought? I'd like a manual battery. I bought 2 instant bats. I'm just curious, I'm sorry if this is out of place.

My understanding is that if you post a photo of yourself with a Volt and you can see the Volt logo on it, or if you display a SI business card in the photo, then you are entitled to a free battery or bottle of juice. I think you'd have to receive a Volt that you bought, take a photo, post it in the appropriate thread, tell SI it's there, and then they'll contact you about what freebie you want. See http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-your-freebie-faces-volt-smokeless-image.html for the rules and where to post your photo.

WHOA ! The site was "down" last night, or maybe it was just an Internet hiccup somewhere, but I received a "505 error" server cannot be contacted. Anyway a late Good Morning to everyone. - Silent Generation, Boomers, Gen Xers , Yers, and Cyber Gens, that about covers everyone. LOL. I haven't smelled any coffee yet, and did you ladies cook up anything?

Welcome Plumes, just let us Volties know if you need any info, we are always ready to talk.

Good morning, everyone; I'm really starting to miss Raven--Hope she's doing better. Blues?

Well, CatLady, Raven misses you as well.

Raven has fallen into one of her difficult times. Her energy level is down. Mornings are the worst, it takes some time for her to get her engine running. She does feel better as the day goes on. Somewhere mid-afternoon her energy level falls to 0 and she needs to nap. Raven and I talk the most with each other at night and that works out very well. We do talk in the morning and during the day, but not for any long periods of time. Mostly, I just want to know she's okay.

I haven't talked with her today as of yet, but I'll post an update on her when I do.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone for your thoughts of Raven. She appreciates it and so do I. You are a good group of people.

I'm late, but coffee is on. The apple dumplings are gone until my sister bakes more. This morning I have pumpkin pie. Homegrown pumpkin right from the farm.

Thank you Bluesman for a little Clapton this AM so Smoooooooth. AND Good Morning Debra (Alice) hope you had a good day shopping yesterday, or was that today, I can't keep this around the Earth stuff straight.

Loved Clapton this morning, but the past several years our whole family has been into Jimmy Buffett. We cruise the Caribbean, love steel drums and crave the laid back lifestyle of the tropics. Variety is the spice of life, expecially in music, travel and vaping flavors.
