Thank you Bluesman for a little Clapton this AM so Smoooooooth. AND Good Morning Debra (Alice) hope you had a good day shopping yesterday, or was that today, I can't keep this around the Earth stuff straight.

Loved Clapton this morning, but the past several years our whole family has been into Jimmy Buffett. We cruise the Caribbean, love steel drums and crave the laid back lifestyle of the tropics. Variety is the spice of life, expecially in music, travel and vaping flavors.

where here where there where everywhere.............:D

I got the poncho someone found on eBay. I haven't worn it outside yet, but it's very nice. Just one thick layer of wool, though, so it may not be warm enough on cold days. Recently, I was given permission to not wear my sling if I feel comfortable without it, so now I can get my arm into the sleeve of my winter coat. Not wearing the sling gives me a lot more freedom to do things like wash the dishes. After not wearing the sling for hours, though, I usually put it back on for more support. But I can wear a regular coat when I need to. When I can get my arm into a heavy sweater, the poncho would be great over that. I want to put it on and get someone to take a picture of me in it, then post it here, but so far, that hasn't happened.

That's great that you don't have to wear the sling all time! Makes you a little more mobile when the need arises? Great progress!! ;)

Sitting down, facing forward.
Thanks for the video, Blues. Layla is, in my mind anyway, one of the great pieces of all time. I listened to it here on the laptop but will replay it again on the desktop with the real audio system! From the first time I heard it I loved it and still do. Watching Clapton improvise made me wonder where his mind goes when he's playing like that. I have to admit that I'm jealous in a way of creativity at that level. Another great piece of guitar work is "Classical Gas" by Mason Williams, complete with a full orchestra.

Say hi to Rave for me.

Definitely much better with the sub-woofer vibrating the floor!

WHOA ! The site was "down" last night, or maybe it was just an Internet hiccup somewhere, but I received a "505 error" server cannot be contacted. Anyway a late Good Morning to everyone. - Silent Generation, Boomers, Gen Xers , Yers, and Cyber Gens, that about covers everyone. LOL. I haven't smelled any coffee yet, and did you ladies cook up anything?

Welcome Plumes, just let us Volties know if you need any info, we are always ready to talk.

Yes. I noticed it was down, too. So it wasn't just your server. I find a good way to tell is whether other sites come up fine, and just that one won't work. If you can get other sites, then it's not a problem on your end.

Well, CatLady, Raven misses you as well.

Raven has fallen into one of her difficult times. Her energy level is down. Mornings are the worst, it takes some time for her to get her engine running. She does feel better as the day goes on. Somewhere mid-afternoon her energy level falls to 0 and she needs to nap. Raven and I talk the most with each other at night and that works out very well. We do talk in the morning and during the day, but not for any long periods of time. Mostly, I just want to know she's okay.

I haven't talked with her today as of yet, but I'll post an update on her when I do.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone for your thoughts of Raven. She appreciates it and so do I. You are a good group of people.

My thoughts are with her, too. I sure hope she feels better soon. I've noticed that a low time health-wise seems to be about 4 am and then again about 4 pm. I've often wondered why this is.

Yeah, coffee and pumpkin pie!!!!

SandySu - Nice to see you are able to take the sling off sometimes. You are making progress.

It rained and rained yesterday. It was so nice. The appraiser finally came. I spent the entire morning from early until after lunch cleaning and spiffing up the house. At least I finally have the house to where it is pretty darn clean. Then, I put my new bedroom door handle on. I am so proud of myself. I chiseled and drilled and everything. And, the new door handle and strike plate matched up just right and it works perfectly. The old door knob was so sticky, I was getting worried that I wouldn't be able to get out of the bedroom without climbing out the window!

I need to take today off. I hope I can go out and play with my little horsey:)

Let's rock!

Great version of this song! Bill, who loves Clapton almost more than anyone else, gravitated to my office when he heard this on my computer, and he said this guitar is Clapton's favorite, and he calls the guitar Blackie. (I said, "But the guitar is white!" till I realized that yes, it's black with just a white front.) Bill says he has the same guitar, but a different color. I'm not so up on all those little details, but I thought I'd share Bill's comments in case anyone is interested. I'm thinking that this may be Clapton's greatest song.

Oh Blues! Tell Raven I pray for her speedy recovery daily. When my husband has those relapses, I feel so helpless... There isn't much I can do for him. He hates it if I hover too much because he is such a proud and energetic person. It can be difficult on the caregiver to know when to back off.

Thanks for the coffee and pumpkin pie!

Ha ha! Once again, I'm free associating to old songs: PATTI & THE EMBLEMS - MIXED UP SHOOK UP GIRL - YouTube

Patti & the Emblems. That's Awsum's side of the tracks. They were from Camden, New Jersey. Jerry Blavat, famous DJ from Philadelphia area, loved Patti & the Emblems.

I think I'm showing my age here. SandySu, you started me on this.

hi joann..............so what colour bat did you get.....?....i didn't get my juice in my sales order...........my weird no luck continues.....owell

Oh Debra! I'm so sorry you keep having these troubles.

I'm getting the pink X2 for my daughter (40+ yr-old baby). Still have to wait for Friday to get it though($$$$). I got an Ego twist for myself. Just have to try it out after reading all the glowing posts about variable voltage. Decided on the twist because it seems easy to adjust too and besides, I have a couple of T2's and T3's that to me, don't work all that good with X2's + adapters. My collection is growing!

and raven beautiful horse...............shes always so kind to me.............

Proud and independent. That's Raven. I admire that in her. That's an agreement Raven and I have with each other - no hovering allowed.

I just talked with her and well... this is a slow part of the day for her.

Your care, thoughts, and warm wishes are most appreciated. Thank you.
