Do you have Lyme disease from ticks or any other diseases? Just plain ticks are yukky enough, without having to worry about disease, too. My vet suggested Frontline Plus, which kills fleas, too. I've used it 2 months now, and it seems to make my cat less itchy, but I'm not sure if the disappearance of ticks on him was due to the Frontline or to the fact that it got colder. I guess the true test will be next summer. Can you get Frontline in Australia?

I have my dog on Trifexis. It does the heartworm and the flea/ticks all in one pill. Kinda pricey, but a little less than Heartguard and Frontline if purchased together.

Ok, so I work retail. This morning I woke up and grabbed some coffee, and to my dismay, realized that the song "We built this city on rock and roll" was playing in my head.....stupid stupid music loops at the store. So I decided I needed something to push it out.

Went on youtube and decided to look up Handel's Messiah. Found the most amazing rendition of it. Proves it doesn't matter what language you sing it in, it is still able to bring a tear to your eye.

This is performed by:
Conductor: Chai, Hoon Cha

Chorus:
Korean Students' Glee Club
Honors Capella
Chai Hoon Cha Choir

Prime Philharmonic Orchestra

Seoul Arts Center, December 2008.

I love The Messiah! I went to the sing-along one year at Lincoln Center in NYC. It was a lot of fun, and challenging, too. Some of those notes go up and down pretty fast, and if you haven't practiced it, they're hard to keep up with. One of my favorite parts of The Messiah, though, is not one for the chorus, so I've only sung along with records, never actually performed it, but here it is: He Shall Feed His Flock from Handel's Messiah - YouTube

Sitting down, facing forward.
My favorite rendition of "Messiah" happened when I was about twelve. My Mom and Dad were in the church choir and it was done one Christmas. The choir had about 60 member, evenly split between women and men and they had practiced for almost two years before they did it. The thing that really stays with me was the pipe organ. The church had/has seating for about 300 people, 40 or 50 foot vaulted hard ceilings and the steeple was/is probably almost 100 feet high. The bass tubes for the organ went all the way up the steeple. I sat almost dead center, about 50 feet back from the pulpit and it was awsome. Feeling the floor vibrate with real bass and hearing those trap doors for the tubes opening an closing as the organist played flawlessly and the choir sounding more like two or three hundred. A very fond memory and the only time I remember the choir getting a standing ovation during a regular Sunday, well Sunday before Christmas, service.

I'll atone for that last piece of Christmas nonsense with this. I learned this song sometime in my youth. Was it a church junior choir? French class? I can't remember, but I sang it as a kid or teenager and always liked this French carol. This is a really nice children's choir. I wish I could read more about it. The English translation, as far as my long-distant French goes is, "He is born, the divine infant." Chorale Gospel - Il est né le divin enfant (Chants De Noèl) - YouTube

Well Volties - Bluesman says "Hello to all my friends!" It wouldn't surprise me terribly if he stops in soon. He's in the cardiac ward as of today. His BP, rhythm, and oxygen levels are all good. The man is tough as nails. He'll try to get on the net tomorrow. They will be letting him get up and move around tomorrow. On Tuesday, he will start some physical therapy. He's in good spirits I'm told. I still haven't spoken to him personally. His friend is still relaying messages back and forth between the two of us. So! It's good news on Blues!

I don't think you will be disappointed. Their standard percentage is 50/50. This is what I ordered, also judging from the reviews, most who ordered requested extra flavor. I did that also. All of the juices were great AND....

Your first order will be 40% off!!!!!!!!!! Big + code is vapedudes

I'm so glad to hear it! I'll be traveling tomorrow, but I'll try to check in sometime in the evening and hope to hear from him. Is there no way to talk to him on the phone, Rave? I bet you'd love to actually talk to him instead of getting messages relayed.

Good Morning Volties!!

Coffee is on. It has just a smidge of vanilla.

I'll be baking cookies today: Tollhouse chocolate chip and gingersnapless. I'd call them gingersnaps, but I take them out before they harden. Then, they are snapless. The house will smell wonderful.

Yay, Rave! I want to come to your house!:D
