Awww - she's giving you a gift!! See what a great provider she is? *yuck*

She is so catlike in many ways. She loves to get up high on the couch and brings in dead things and not so dead things to me. Looks like I will have to check the new chair before I sit in it!

I do a lot of internet shopping. I hate going to regular stores and dealing with people and germs! I just placed an order for the 770 which should be here tomorrow! But, I'm still going to clean today and see what it picks up after it charges. I watched the cat video you posted and can't believe how much it bumps things. The neato seems to not do it as much.

Hiya Jerry!

Holy Vapors Batman - EU to BAN E-Cigarettes?

Check out the EU sections of ECF folks. It seems that the EU including England, and Central Europe has passed the first phase of a total ban on E-cigarettes. Many say it will not hold up in the courts, but will delay any new products and sales for awhile. What a total shame and waste of everyone's time and money. Today, I am vaping 100% VG - No Nic with about 10% flavoring and it is quite good. Perhaps I can actually cut out the nicotine all together and then see what the e-cigarette police have to say. "Hey guys, it's not smoke its STEAM and there is NO tobacco, NO NICOTINE, What's your BEEF?

Rant Over

I'm signed up for the CASAA meeting tonight. I hope they address this.

No experience with a Neato, so I can't say anything on that. Five of mine are from the iRobot corporation. Four are Roombas and one's a Scooba. The remaining bot is a Mint, but the rights were purchased by iRobot.

If you just want a swiffering action, go with the Mint. It's less expensive. But, if you want vacuuming, go with a Roomba 770. It's great with pet hair and won't get caught up on your throw rugs. It can be scheduled. They are wonderful!

By the way, these things won't eat your pets unless your pet happens to be a spider. I've had mine bump up against the dog and she just ignores it. Cats sometimes like to ride them after they get over their initial suspicions. LOL

Rave, that video had me in stitches, and I love the way the cat was helping out with its tail!

Saw this on F/B and it gave me butterflies when I read it. It's so very unfair!

I posted this on a UK e-cig forum where I am the only non-British member. I will post it here too.

It appears to me that the EU was formed primarily to prevent catastrophies like the two world wars, from happening again and to promote trade between the European nations. They should stay with those goals and get out of people's personal lives.

Maybe I'm wrong? But I think that I'm right, but they would never admit it.

Your nearest hydrogen bomb.
I've been up since 5 a.m., and haven't been able to get moving. Finally, I gave in and took an hour and a half long nap. Still feeling loopy.

The bot in the living room has automatic scheduling. It sits on its charging base until noon each day and then ventures out to gather Lexi fur. If there was a market for shed mastiff fur, I'd be a verrrrrry wealthy woman!! All that I have to do is dump the bin, clean out the brushes, and blow out the filters and sensors every few days. Most of my other bots don't have scheduling. In addition to Sabbath in the living room (he's black), I have Fluffy (downstairs), Snowflake (for the foyer, hall, and kitchen, and my bedroom), and Brutus (for wherever nothing can be damaged by his less-than-light touch). I also have a mopping bot which is a Scooba named Mittens, and a swiffering type bot (for touch-ups in the kitchen) name Sylvester. Most have automatic "towers" to keep them in their designated territories.

Folks have a tendency to donate bots to me because they can't figure out how to troubleshoot them. I love tearing them apart to figure out what the problem is. Usually, it's an easy fix. They are extremely helpful to me because it's very difficult for me to vacuum or mop. You could eat off of my floors! :)

This is Snowflake leaving robot tracks on my bedroom carpet. Notice how he navigated around the chair leg.

I love that Roomba idea. I'm too cheap to buy one but I love it. Maybe in another ten years, I tell Hubby I am retiring from the cleaning biz and I need a vacuum robot and a floor washing robot:)

The farrier just left. She brought her mom. I wonder if she thought I would still be mad about her losing my money. Fun to be able to show a fellow gardener around the yard a bit. Made my day.

Wiseguy was an almost perfect gentleman. He got a little antsy towards the end. The wind has been gusty off and on all day but didn't come up while we were doing his feet. He is much spookier in the wind. Wiseguy was sure we were hiding carrots on us somewhere and kept searching but nope....the carrots were hanging out front in a bag.

She got a lot more off his hooves this time. Last time the lady called me the day before to tell me my gal was coming. I didn't have a chance to run water in his pen or put on the foot goo that softens up his feet a bit for the farrier. This time I have been overflowing his water everyday to make sure he has nice cool water in the afternoons. So, hard feet wasn't an issue.

I got everything done today that I wanted to accomplish. I am going to take a shower. The only other thing on my agenda is cooking rice for dinner and maybe getting the dishes in the dishwasher. Basically, I'll be hanging out and getting nothing important done:) Have a great night, peeps.

By the way, love the catalpa flowers. There is a small tree called a chitalpa that is a cross between the desert willow and the catalpa that has gorgeous flowers. It is on my list of must haves.

I agree, Lizzie, I'm not sure if I can afford a Roomba. They sound great, though. I was reading reviews on Amazon, and people mentioned certain things like having to clean the brushes and filter, but there were no real, serious complaints. I have electrical cords on the floor in corners, though, and apparently you have to pick them up. And shoes. Do you know how many pairs of shoes are on the floor in various spots? Still, all that is a lot less work than vacuuming. I was interested to read that one person had problems when it got on a dark-colored rug in the beginning (it would stall), but apparently the machine figured it out. Roombas even solve problems and think things through? I can hardly believe it.

I rode again today, and this time, Penny didn't trip. I kept a close watch on her and noticed that she likes to look around a lot instead of watching her feet. When she got rubbernecking, I'd point her head back where it should be, and we prevented disaster. I wish this was Penny's job though, not mine.

The barn owner was too busy to ride, but I went out with the instructor and one of the barn owner's daughters.

I offered carrots to the horses before I rode, trying to lure Penny out of the run-in shed, which has a nasty area of mud in front of it. Flame was the only taker. Finally, I had to go into the mud to get Penny out. I think she was a lot more willing to come to me when I wasn't riding her. Going out to eat grass on the lawn and get groomed was her idea of how things should be, not getting ridden. Since I rode her last Sunday, she probably guessed I was going to do it again.

Good evening my fellow vaping friends! Hope you are all doing well! :)

Good Morning Volties!!

Coffee is on. It's French Vanilla

Other than that, I got nuthin'. Maybe the coffee will soak in and allow my brain to function.

Oh yeah (see - it's workin' already) - Cindy, I can't believe that you found a charm that so perfectly matches your avatar!

French Vanilla Coffee and I missed it! Maybe next time! ;)

Morning.
I just took this picture of my outside door mat. At night you can only tell it's there only by the nose.

Cute doormat! How adorable! :)

I also have one tooth that is starting to get sensitive to cold, but I have an appointment in early August, so I think I will just wait it out. By the way - I can't find the recipe using Earl Grey Tea. Did you have one that used this flavor?

PS: Thanks for the French Vanilla Coffee, love it.

Wabbit

Wabbit, have you tried a toothpaste like Sensodyne? It might help until you're able to get to the dentist. I have sensitive teeth and use a similar toothpaste. It works for me.

Did I mention I had to bake a cherry pie this morning? In eight minutes it will be out of the oven. Home grown cherries from last year mixed with the last of the cherries from our trees this year, Should be tasty. I have three more quarts from this year in the freezer which means three chances at delicious cherry pie. One of my all time faves.

I missed cherry pie, too?!?! Boy, I am slacking! ;)

In other words a mutt, or as the phrase goes today "a designer breed".

I have one of those "designer breeds." She's a cockapoo. She's little and loud, too!

Tina - What I did is what any novice can do. Just yank the carpet out, lay some under layment and then the pergo and paint the walls and ceiling! I did add some switch plates to give it a little more change. I really don't like painting, but I've gotten better at it over the years. Painting stucco is not like painting a flat wall and takes more time and effort.

Thanks, Tail! I'll have to write that down for future reference! I'd like to rip the carpet out in our bedroom and go with wood flooring. Every other room in our house is wood flooring. It's just easier with animals to sweep and mop. There are days we have to scrub our carpet, by hand, and it's just too much work! It also brings up a lot of pet hair! I could make several cats and dogs out of it, if anyone would like? ;)

I love how you've named them all, Rave! I just added the Roomba one you mentioned to my Amazon wishlist. It is a wishlist, after all! ;) Hope you are feeling better now!

 Amazon loves me too. So does eBay. Annnnnd countless PV vendors.

Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and yea, many PV vendors, love me, too! ;)

How sad! If it passes, I wonder what will happen, elsewhere?!?

I only wish they'd make a lawnmower robot version that trims and edges!!!!

My husband would like that one!

Got some vape mail today! I think we're just waiting on one more package with wraps for our APV's. Those were just shipped today, though. Got several sample sizes of eLiquids, yesterday, but had to wait for some dripping atomizers and shields. Got them today, along with some tank airflow controllers for our ProTanks, which work nicely, BTW. The eLiquids were all various sizes, but we found at least 5, out of 19, flavors that one or both of us liked. All from the same vendor, luckily (the vendor we ordered them from just sells 1 ml samples from 4 different vendors). So next payday, if we have the funds, we'll be ordering them in regular sizes. Too bad hubby and I didn't use the same nic strength, as we found two that we both liked. We decided to use his eGo batteries to test them out with. Even with the dripping shield, some eLiquid leaked onto the batteries. *sigh* Right now I've vaping on some Mint Chocolate that reminds me of Ande's Candies! My favorite as a kid!

Not too much going on. Slept quite a bit today! I think we fell asleep around 6 am and didn't wake up until 4 pm! Guess we needed some sleep! Was waiting for someone to come buy some clothing from me, but they were a no-show. Have to report that to the admin of the group I belong to. Hate doing that, but they get three strikes and they are out of the group. I tell them I only give second chances! I'm not sitting and waiting that long for someone to come over! If they wanted them bad enough, they'd be here! ;)

Well, think I will go check out my other subscriptions! Hope you all have a great night! :)

Headline in The United Kingdom: President of the EU votes to Ban E-Cigarettes because he has brain cancer.

Love the total insanity of this whole anti-everything campaign. I am enjoying my 100% VG Earl Grey Tea with NO NIC. What's to Ban?

Tina, that is why I pulled the carpet out of the house. I have carpet in the guest bedroom because it hasn't been trashed by my pets. Between the tile and the pergo, my floors are much easier to keep clean!

If you do decide to DIY your floor, the most important tool you can buy is a very good pair of kneepads! I have a bum knee that bothers me, but with a good pair of kneepads, I could handle crawling around on the floor.

The right to vape regardless whether it contains nicotine or not. IMO for what its worth, all this stuff is about governments trying to take away our freedoms not health issues or anything else.

Thanks, Tail! I used to have a pair that I would use for work, but that was over a decade ago! :p

Raynes, I know! The craziest one I've heard of is NY banning the sales of soda in 32 ounces! WHAT?!?! That's crazy! I can buy a twelve pack and down it a couple of days! What's so bad about 32 oz?!? Sure, I drink diet, but it's still not good for you! *sigh*

And then more kids would die.

Don't know how serious you are, but when I was growing up, kids didn't get hurt by lawn equipment. Getting within 10 feet was worth getting your backside "tanned", and losing a few privileges. As we got older, and began to operate said equipment, doing stupid/dangerous things, while so operating, resulted in more age-appropriate repercussions, with scorn added. In my adult life, I have surely handled my share of actually dangerous equipment, and only been hurt once. (Note to self: never sit straddle of at 2-story cinder-block wall, with a very large hammer drill at face level (no matter how convenient the leverage)...it can and will find a piece of re-bar, get bound up, and smack you in the face with enough force to do some damage. Further note to self: never quit thanking God that you only got some pain and embarrassment out of it....it could have been a long fall to frozen ground.:D)

Thank goodness that's all that happened to you, CatLady! When I was working in the factory my first day, they forgot to tell me one of the guns I was using had a kick to it. It "kicked" me right in the jaw! I fell to the ground it was so hard! I was embarassed after that one! Luckily, I was just bruised!
