We missed you. I hope the crisis resolves quickly. Good luck with the new camera. Hearing the woods at night will be almost like camping out.

Thanks Sandy. :)

It drives me crazy to close up the house, even in winter. I feel disconnected from the forest. This will hopefully allow me to maintain my connection. And, I'll get to spy on critters too. :D

Okay - I just have to say one more thing, and then I'll quit bogarting the thread:

I really hate it when a product says "Easy Open Package!" and then I still haven't gotten that sucker open after five minutes of struggling ... in what feels like gale force winds ... on top of uber-low temperatures ... with birdies yelling at me to hurry up.

The wind is howling out there now. It's 13 degrees, but lord knows what the wind chill is. I wouldn't mind so much except that I have to be at the barn early tomorrow for the hoof trimmer. I also think about Penny out in it, though I know horses can stand the cold better than humans.

I did start Gabe, though for some reason, I'm not terribly enthused. Still, I will persevere.

I hope that wind dies down by morning. Your horse isn't going to like that wind while having his hoofs trimmed either. :(

I know the feeling but I don't draw unless I feel like it, otherwise it becomes a chore.

That thought crossed my mind, but I thought maybe I should just push on, and it'll get better. I have been taking frequent breaks, though.

I do that too, take frequent breaks. I have terrible posture when I draw, which I need to do something about, so I get sore and have to get up and move around. It also helps to see the drawing differently when I come back to it. Not sure why that is but it is.

I've been contemplating what to draw next. I keep looking at that snowy river photo you posted awhile back but I don't like all those sticks in the river. They look ugly and would be hard to draw. I want to put something there that would lead the eye down the river into the background but I haven't decided what. Any suggestions?

I am doing something tedious, with occasional :w00t: flashes of discovery. I'm not having problems with posture, but between the :banana:'s I distract myself with planning the next fascinating part. Which causes me to have problems looking for the  Eager to get to the next part, but right now I just plod along most of the time.

What is it that you are doing that is tedious. I'm curious about these flashes of discovery too.
