Fani - You would be amazed. I thought that I would be the same way and want to sleep in late. But, when you retire, you don't dread having to get up early to go to work. You enjoy getting up early to do all of the things that you want to do. Not the things that someone else wants for you to do. :)

Well said Rave... In fact sometimes the things that we want to do is more work than what we used to do...

Okay, today's lunch special - how does ham, black eye peas, and macaroni w/cheese sound. Oh and some left over rolls from dinner last night...

Hello, everyone. I was up early (for me), but it seems I'm late to the party. Hope everyone is having a peaceful Sunday. I have a task to perform this afternoon, and only divine intervention will keep it peaceful.

Ohhh - that sounds ominous. Hopefully, it will go better than anticipated. Good luck!

Cantaloupe is a good thing, so is watermelon, honeydew and about any other fruit you mention... Two things we eat a lot around here is fruit and fruit - okay that is one thing, but we eat a lot of it... I am particularly fond of the water based fruits the most, but will eat just about any kind that is put in front of me. Our fruit budget each month is larger than any of our other budgets around here...

I'm the same way, and could almost live on fruits. Instead of ice cream in the summer I like frozen fruit. Frozen mango, grapes, blueberries, and pineapple are my favorites. Of the non-frozen fruits, I love the melons the most - ANY kind of melon. I count the days until the Indiana road side stands start having the local muskmelon. The farm stands around here in Indiana are very different. They are unmanned and work on the honor system. You take what you want and leave money in a jar. Garage sales are often operated the same way.

rave, i have the most realistic thing for you. You won't find a better tasting e-liquid but for now i'm out of money and cannot ship.
Maybe at the end of the month i can send you some.

Sounds intriguing! Maybe you could just share the recipe? :) I have just about every DIY on the face of the earth.

I have a cantaloupe flavor, there is no recipe. I'll just add it on some base, maybe even some sweeteners but that is not needed. There is no way you will find a better one.

Sounds like a rare and wondrous place to live in. I remember it being like that when I was young, but not now in current times...

You ever eat Greek Yogurt? It is great with frozen blueberries, cherries, etc. mixed in with it...

The area where I live is like a step back in time - in a good way. Around here, neighbors leave random gifts on each others doorsteps (a couple dozen ears of fresh corn, cinnamon streusel coffee cake, etc.). Sometimes they will plow your 700' driveway without a word just because they know you can't.

Dairy and I don't seem to play well together - except cheese. I don't understand ...

Cantaloupe for lunch here. I've tried many times to find or create a good cantaloupe nicquid that tastes like the real thing. It just isn't happening.
We Filipinos make this cantaloupe juice that's incredibly yummy and refreshing:

You scrape the meat off with one of these:

add water, ice, and maybe a little sugar and a tiny squeeze of lemon, and enjoy! A pitcher-full keeps well in the fridge too.

Another good refresher is water, ice, and thinly sliced lemon and cucumber. I used to keep a pitcher of this stuff at my desk and couldn't keep coworkers away! :) ...well that and the bowl of candy next to it...

Sounds yummy! I couldn't see your pics, but I looked it up on marketmanila. Might have to try this. Thanks!

Interesting that the pics show in my quote of your post ... but not in your post.

It's a good way to get both your water AND your fruit (I suck at both). Thanks a lot, Rave. Now I'M craving cantaloupe! :grr::laugh:

Didn't want to hijack the other thread, but thanks everybody, for the well wishes on the job. It's not really much of one, but if I can pay my bills, eat, and finally buy an X2, I'm happy! :p

...although I have been eying TV's Lemon Poundcake...probably wouldn't work in the clearos...

My kingdom for a realistic Mango flavor. I guess since I live in the land of plenty I'm hard to please.

Virgin Vapor has some Mango (Absolute Fresh Thai Mango) that I think is wonderful. When I ordered the bottle (after the sampler), I had Annette thin it some for me, to make it easier/quicker to fill my cartos. Amazingly, I've put about 10ml through 1 carto, with no decline in performance. It's even better at warmer temps, like 4.2V.
EleanorR and kittiepie might have some input on this, as well.
