Four years to retirement and I can think about that, Raynes. ;)

I need an anti inflammatory e-liquid, though. My degenerative arthritis is killing me. I've had it since my teens and a knee surgery I swear was meant only to bilk my parents of their savings in order to line the pockets of the "sports surgeon" who performed it. They didn't have arthroscopic surgery available back then and my forever swollen knee just doesn't work well. Now, the rest of the joints are getting a bit achy, from a genetic aspect. And to think I want to retire to Oregon for the mild weather because I can't handle temps over 85 or under 40 for extended periods. /sigh

I thought the damp weather aggravates arthritis. Hawaii would be nice for the temps, pretty much is permanently 82 there but it can get a little humid too. Californi is the place you ought to be! (so they loaded up the truck and they moved to Beverly...)

Good Morning Semi and any other Volties around.

Getting a rare late start this morning. It felt great to sleep in for once.

Wish I coulda slept late but I've got a built in alarm. I've been fasting since last night to go see the Vampire. No breakfast, no coffee, no nicotine. Drank 4 bottles of water and vaped a little 0 nic DJ. But when I got home I ate like a ravenous wolf. 2 hash brown patties, steak and jumbo eggs with 3 cups of coffee and topped it off with a carto of Blue Ridge Mist. Hope that tides me over till lunch.

UGH - I'd never even make it out the door with no coffee and no nicotine. Just ... couldn't happen.

My breakfast consisted of 4 strawberries, however, I'm fairly certain that they must have been grown somewhere near Three Mile Island.

I gotta do what I gotta do to stay alive long enough to be a burden on the taxpayers.:D

That's a good mission in life.

I'm sitting here waiting on a shipment of over $13,000 worth of medicine. That's the going rate for a three month supply of Copaxone. Probably why they require a signature.

However, it is not courtesy of the taxpayers, it is provided by the benevolence of the pharmaceutical company. Do you sense a degree of sarcasm in that statement?

YeahIdo. And rightfully so. There was also a somewhat humorous degree of it in my statement. I've been paying in to SS at double the rate employees pay for well over 50 years and Medicare since they started it. Now they act like I'm some kind of charity case and they're doing me a favor by giving me my own money back. If I had invested that much in almost anything I'd be..... Stop Chuck, you've said enough.

I posted this elsewhere, but I thought you folks might get a kick out of it:

For a few weeks I've had squatters on the property. They decided to build a nest (mostly of mosses) on my front porch light. Not generally a good idea. The site is not what I would think would be ideal for flycatchers. It is right next to the main point of egress for one old broad, generally accompanied by a mastiff the size of a pony, and two overly-energetic young adults. As soon as I discovered that the adult birds were committed to that particular site, I put tape over the light switch so that no one would accidentally cook the eggs.

Mom and Dad are not happy about our comings and goings, but we try to move through the area quickly to disturb them as little as possible. Today I sneaked a picture of two of the nestlings. They melt me.

Benevolent Pharmaceutical Company. Isn't that an oxymoron?

Good afternoon to all, BTW.
