One week no cigarettes yesterday
Hunker down guys! Looks like it's just going to pass me and head straight for my Ohio neighbors. Be safe!
Prediction is showers and thunderstorms tonight. That doesn't sound too bad. Hope we get some more rain tonight.Joy,,hacking up stuff today LOL,,,,,,,,I won't describe,,,,,,,,,all of you know what I meanOne week no cigarettes yesterday

One week! Congratulations!!
At this point, I got what felt like a cold, a mild sore throat, and a tenderness behind the breastbone. It all passes. Drink LOTS of water!

There's a storm brewing here in the Denver metro area, but I'm afraid it is just going to produce more dry lightening - which is what caused the latest wildfire. And the winds....
This reminds me of 2000, the year my mom died of cancer. I went home to Montana to be with her those last days, and it was the year that the state burned, my hometown was completely surrounded by fire. My mom was smoking up to her last day, and she was horribly sick as it was from the radiation treatment, and all that smoke and ash in the air. The skies were always red and thick with haze, and everyone was told to stay indoors. My mom's lungs were already cooked, I worried about her. My brother worked outdoors at a mill, I worried about him. My dad was a reemployed annuitant working for the Forest Service during that summer coordinating firefighting efforts (he was a retired smokejumper), I worried about him. And the land just kept burning. Do a google search for images for "Elk Bath." An employee working for the Bureau of Land Management took a picture in one of the valleys and this is what the whole western area of Montana looked like in the summer of 2000. Welcome to Colorado 2012.
The summer of 1988 we went cross-country to California, and the West was burning then, too. They closed Yellowstone Park, which I wanted to visit, because of fires, and when we were in Helena, Montana, I could see the smoke of fires in the forests on nearby mountains.
Great job, Holly!
Shabbat Shalom![]()
You'll probably be congested for a little while, CommaHolly. It's a part of the process, could be a few weeks, could be a few months. Cough up that yukky stuff! Eventually, when you cough, it will be a full cough, things get out like they should, and it won't be a hacking cough with all the gunk in the lungs still. My doc said use a decongestant that works for you (and won't mess with any other meds you may be taking).
i remember that year, too, sandysu. Was the year the secretary of the interior (watts) decided they wouldn't fight the fires in yellowstone because it was a national park and there shouldn't be any intervention in nature's process. ok, there was a lot of flack over that one, to say the least, especially since yellowstone was such a huge tourist park!

decongestants make my heart race, my palms sweat and make it impossible to sleepI guess I'll just suck it up,,,,,,,,,
stay safe everyone!!!!!!
WOW on that Elk Bath photo!!!!!!!!!
so sorry about your Mom, Kiaso sad.
I can't stand that Kay commercial,,,,,,,,,IDK but it makes me think "not all women are so greedy they need diamonds to give affection" LOL,,,,,,,,don't know why, but it totally grates on me,,,,,,

haha, I had to veer away from this thread for a little while, cuz I was eating dinner. EEEEEWWW!!!
Took a ride over to Tasty Vapor this afternoon, and they hooked me up! I told Lana I wanted to turn my Brownies into Oreos, and BAM! White creme filling eliquid! She's a fricking genius! The smell is dead on. Waiting for the dairy to catch up now...
We were watching the news one evening when a Kay Jewlers commercial came on with its little song line. "Every kiss begins with Kay". My wife stated "It had d*m* well better not".
shabbat Shalom to you too!!!! Are you Jewish, or just particularly knowledgeable??
Oh, I do. I've been at this awhile, so you won't see me going out into this crazy heat. Heat and stress are the enemies!
