Here's an interesting factoid I learned recently and thought I'd share. When discussing pain medications with my bone doctor, the one who did the surgery, he said not to use ibuprofen as it hinders bone healing. I had never heard that, and neither did my physical therapist or my regular doctor. I Googled it, and sure enough, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories are not good to use if you want your bones to heal. In fact, some doctors prescribe a NSAID for hip replacements so as to prevent something called bone overgrowth. So, if you ever break a bone, avoid these, though Tylenol (acetaminophen) seems to be exempt and is the over-the-counter pain med of choice for broken bones.

I hope none of you ever need this info, but I guess it's good to know in case you do, especially since it doesn't seem to be so well-known by doctors, who might prescribe a NSAID.

Rave, where are you and Blues vacationing? I bet you have some interesting stories about it, if your former blogs are any indication.

Just a little cabin out in the middle of nowhere. :)

Raven, enjoy your vacation.

Joanne - the ry4 is super. I have tried others and none compare to SI ry4.

Raynes and Raven - no coffee for me. Oh Boy did I have a rough night. There has been some sort of stomach flu bug going around and I must have got it. Let's just say I spent a couple of hours on the toilet last night. I have to clean a house this morning so wish me luck. There is no way to cancel or reschedule since next week is Thanksgiving and I have 3 houses to do next week and only 3 days available.

Have a great morning folks. Looks like I am going to live but it will be toast and soup for me today:)

Sorry to hear you are sick Lizzie. Don't try to force too much food though, go very slow. Stomach flu has been going around here as well. So far it's passed me by. Hopefully you will be straight before Thanksgiving...

I would have never known that. Thanks SandySu. That's another good thing about this forum (Chatsville). You get so much information that you don't even realize that you need. As you said... I bet a lot of MD's don't know this! :thumb:

Sitting down, facing forward.
Good Morning Volties! Thanks for the coffee, cinnamon rolls and pies.

Great to see you Rave and glad you are enjoying your vacation. It's good to know that you will be stopping by now and then.

Awsum! Where are you this morning? How's the iTaste performing?

I've been a little busy today.

The iTaste is OUTSTANDING! I did have to prime the atty portion of the min tank system it comes with by using a syringe to "inject" some fluid into the tube to get it working properly. It is really something. I can change flavors instantly, no muss, no fuss and filling is just put liquid in right out of the bottle. I just wish it were bigger than 1ml. CE3s work really well at 3.8 volts, major plumes of vapor and tons of flavor. If it were an automatic it would be absolutely perfect!

Afternoon :) Back to the docs this morning for blood work that they forgot to do the last time I had a bunch done,,,,,,sheesh. But hubby went with me and we stopped at Hobby Lobby for some pretty new paper to make cards with on the way back,,,,,,,so I am in heaven :)

mixed up 15 ml of DIY Apricot, which seems to be my favorite current flavor,,,,I wanted to make 20 ml, but I didn't have enough apricot flavoring,,,,,sigh,,,,,,,oh well, more is on the way :) And the 15 ml should get me through until it gets here,,,,,,,,hopefully LOL. If not, I have cantaloupe I can make,,,,,,,,hmmmmmmmm might make some anyway LOL.

sorry you're sick, Lizzie,,,,,that sucks :( May you be well as soon as possible! Try and rest when you can, drink plenty of fluids,,,,,,,,and the Jewish mother in me wants to feed you chicken soup with matzoh balls LOL.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day!!!!!!

Hello, folks. In light of recent events on this thread, I decided to pop in here and say a few words. Raven is very upset over said recent events and just reading back here... well, I get the feeling others are as well.

All of you are good and caring people. There is a bond that holds all of you together. You might think at first, "That bond is vaping and SI." Maybe. But I think it's friendship, respect, and values. You still have that. Carry it forward with you. As a group, you are much more than one person.

I guess we picked the wrong time for a vacation. But don't think we're not thinking about you. We talk about you every day. Stay together. Keep your friendship strong.

You mean the world to Raven. You are her "family."

I know that I'm the new kid on the block but I've really begun to think of all of you as family soooo... I have adopted all of you.

I do get a feeling of sadness from everyone but with each passing day, it will get better. :)

Rave... Please! Please enjoy your vacation!

I'm glad you like it. It looks really good but... only manual. It's all I can do to adjust to the manual X2. I really REALLY hate that button! and the iTaste has more buttons. Oh well, maybe by this time next year... when I've become a more mature vaporer.

Read back a few pages

Oh dear.

All I can say is that I love you all,,,,,,,,

and that we are like a family,,,,,,,,and just like a family, we have our moments of joy, love, fun times,,,,,,,,,

and arguments. We all get cranky occasionally,,,,,,and sometimes we take it out on those we love the most,,,,,,,

we shouldn't,,,,,,,but it happens.

And like a family, we forgive each other when we aren't the best we can be.

Hugs.

Being a mature vaper really has nothing to do with it, in my opinion. I started vaping over three years ago - with automatics that were awful. Then, everyone moved on to manuals, including me. Nowadays, I really prefer SI's automatics. The button is just a pain. :2c:

I have automatics,,,,,,,,wasn't sure about the manual and kept going back and forth,,

then I won a drawing and got two X2s,,,,,,,,one manual and one automatic,,,,,,,,I can say I've used the manual, but I STILL prefer the automatic,,,,,,,,,,,some people say they get a better vape from the manual,,,,,I didn't notice a thing different about the vape,,,,,

whatever works for you is how I feel about it!
