I like most nuts except pistachios but cashews are my favorites. I DO like almond milk and almond butter however.

I'm going to have to try almond milk. I'm curious, though I have no problem drinking regular milk. I usually get skim milk, and put it in my coffee, even though it makes the coffee a weird gray.

Thanks Raynes. I thought it was something like that. But... I didn't know that you also have a rescue farm. I knew you had horses and some other pets. Can't forget about Arnie!! Will never forget that one! But... Wow! such amazing revelations!!

Well its nothing like what Blues does. I've pretty much have reached my limits as far as horse rescue and now I focus on training them. We will take in abandoned dogs and cats and try to find homes for them still. Where I live people are bad to dump unwanted pets and after deer season I'm sure we will wind up with hounds. That really ticks me off the way hunters do. After hunting season some hunters turn their hounds lose leaving them to starve or find a home wherever they can.
As far as the horses go,they have a forever home here,I've only had two that were suitable for placement and a dear friend of mine has those.

Sandy, you are an absolutely great person. I am fortunate to have you as a friend. Thank you for collecting links to my posts. That is so kind of you. Oh, and cat vs dog was great. I watched that a few times.

Raven wants me to tell the story of Spatz and Bridgette. I told her I would as soon as I figure out to condense it from book-length to a few paragraphs. That will be a task for me after I get out of here and back to the farm.

I always enjoy reading through everyone's posts.

Hope you all have a great night or day... whatever time zone you're in.

Boy! You did some serious digging and really put this together. The last post is what I remembered... right after my arrival here. Gold medal goes to you SandySu!! Well done. Hope Blues doesn't mind us discussing his business like this but... boy oh boy! Talk about the silent heroes! Of course Blues will get better!! His work is not finished. I would love to see the animals' reaction when he gets back there. :)

People were recently talking about seeing everyone who posts here, and I remember that Rave made us a collage of all the folks who sent her photos of themselves. Rave, do you feel up to doing that again? It sure was fun to see everyone back then, and now there are so many new people, it would be nice to see them, too. I'm going to try to get someone to take a picture of me with my new haircut, and I'll post it here when it happens. In fact, I want to get one of me in my poncho, too, for you all, even though all that's old news by now.

Bill wants to take photos with my digital camera -- I have an old PowerShot that I no longer use much since I got my new one, so I ordered another date/time battery for it, since that seems to have given out. While teaching him to use the camera, maybe he'll take some of me in my poncho. This is contingent on the new battery solving the problem of being unable to set the date/time in that camera. If not, then I'll ask him to use the new camera. So maybe sometime next week, I'll have a photo to post. I really should get my hair trimmed, though. Now that it's short, I need to do that every month or so. This is the major reason I let my hair grow so long.

I dunno Sandy. Last night, I went through that thread and there's no way that I could get all of those people into a collage. It just isn't within my capability right now. Sorry. :(

Wow Sandy!! You're amazing!

Yes - They must hear about Bridgette and Spatz. Take your time, my friend. You have recuperation to deal with first. These folks are as patient as they are kind.

Raynes! Another unsung hero! :thumb:

... the bolded statement above... How can people be so cruel? Well... first fact... they are hunters/killers in my book... I guess I already answered my question. They get these animals to work for them, helping them to track and corner other animals for them to kill.. then the poor hounds' reward is to be turned loose to starve while those hunters take the freshly killed animals home to feast on??!! Sorry for the rant... Oh! Sooo sad!

Thank God for people like you and Blues... and all others that do this great work!

I'm glad you didn't mind, Blues. I figured it's public info, been posted already, so it wasn't like I was telling secrets or anything.

I posted this in the funny pages if you haven't watched it yet. A great one for us dog lovers!

TWO DOGS DINING - YouTube

Wow! That's so bizarre. I laughed harder than I have in a long, long time. Thanks for posting it here so I didn't miss it. I'll have to go look at the funny pages more often.

I read on the info tab that they did this in one sitting. They did practice with the cutlery a little bit. Whisper would never sit still and keep her head up. She'd go right after the plate!

I had to watch it twice to watch one dog at a time. I bookmarked it to keep it for a blue day!

It was funny on so many levels. Like knowing they couldn't really see what was going on, the looks on the dogs' faces, the way they handled the forks, the wiping of the napkins, the whole package was really very clever. I think they must have trained the dogs ahead of time to wait till the food was offered on a fork, not just chow down, as most dogs would. Every once in a while, one of the dogs would make a halfhearted feint at the dish, as if he/she knew that wasn't really in the program, but it was just sooo tempting. Even that was funny, and how the person used the hands to restrain the dog's head, meanwhile making it look like something else. I was impressed and in hysterics. I consider the video to be art!

Well volties, it has been a long week for me. I was a bad girl while I was off last week and stayed up way past my bedtime. I payed dearly for it the past 3 days. 4:30 AM wakeup call comes fast when you stay up to late.

Have a good evening/morning/afternoon, wherever you are!

Me too, I have been lurking, enjoying, learning more about Bluesman and others. I admire you all more every day.

Good Night my friends
