Yes, I have to dig out more cold winter pics for you, Debra. I got sort of sidetracked there, didn't I?

IMG_0085_zpsd2d1cf04.jpg

In the photo above, you can see how steep it gets around here. The hillsides going down to the lakes are steep, but the land in between is sort of flat. I'd hate to live on this road when there's snow on it!

This is one of the waterfalls at Watkins Glen State Park. They don't let people walk through the gorge in winter because it's way too icy from all the splashing water, but you can see the first waterfall from the parking lot. Actually, Debra, this would be a perfect place for you to walk in the heat of summer, since even on a hot day, the gorge is deep and shady, and all the water sprays up and cools you. When it's too hot to get any outdoor exercise, this is the perfect place to go for a walk.

I love road pictures!

You have an eye for light and you take some beautiful photos.

I love grasses. I got some tall Saskatoon grasses for the backyard. They can get up to 6 feet tall and are native to the NOrth American continent. I like growing natives. They look great for three season. Summer, fall and winter. They look pretty ugly in the early spring when you cut them down to the ground but hopefully the beautiful irises distract you:)

Hey KitKat. Since you are on the SI subforum, we automatically thought you already knew about Smokeless Image and the products they carry. Here's the link for the Volt X2 passthrough:

Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | X2 Battery & Battery Accessories

You will love it and trust me your inventory will grow. ;)

Like I said before all I have is a kgo and the t3, trying to figure out all the different products, I dont know what to try next. I know I like a smaller battery, Im still nervous vaping in public

Not Spanky. He actually believe's his breed name.. Cavalier KING Charles... he thinks he has slaves. It's beneath him to do dog things like fetch. If I throw a ball, he'll watch it roll away then look back at me as if to say... if you want it, go get it. And yes, I'm his personal door(wo)man.
LOL. His momma didn't raise no dummy! Bub's does the same thing! He's been great for mom!

I photograph what appeals to me. I see something, and I hope to capture the essence of what I see. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't, but I keep trying. Thanks for all the compliments, folks.
Those ice pictures are beautiful - each in different ways. Visually the second one grabs my heart. The first one engages the brain more. Both draw one in to explore. Same recipe - different flavor. That's the beauty of screen savers! Have your cake and eat it too! :D

Before I forget :
KitKat - you are funny! Thanks for your contributions to the humor department too!
Lizzie - I suspect your horse has been busy teaching Sultan the fine art of 'Hay Tossing'!
Have a great day y'all! Off to get a few last things from our former home. Sniff sniff - really miss the peacefulness over there.

I like my Volt when I go out to dinner or the casino or grocery shopping. It is a wonderful cig-a-like. I use the Nanos or the cartridges. The cartridges are refillable. I think the Volt in the dark blue, red or yellow or copper is great and nobody looks twice. I got the silver Volt and felt really self conscious because it is so shiney and blingey. I have several of these batteries so that I can take 4 or 5 with me and last the whole day and I also have the PCC so that I can recharge if I need to.

Hi there, so far so good.......going to visit my daughter and two grandkids..................Im way to young to b a grandma, lol. My daughter is so proud of me givingup the smokes, that makes me feel good.

I was surprised at just how proud Hubby is that I am vaping instead of smoking. I was at the company Christmas party and I went outside with the smokers. I kidded them that I knew where to find a real ciggie with that many out there smoking. One of the guys said "You better not, Your husband is so proud of you he has been telling every one how you quit smoking and took up vaping." Of course, I told him how satisfying vaping is and that I am glad not to be smoking. Give it a try, he might like it.

It still feels wierd to me in public becuz no one seems to know about vaping, alot still consider it smoking. This is all new to me too and I have already got one friend at work to start vaping with me, and alot want to know more about it.

Yeah, a binky/nookie! :D

Has anyone else noticed a change in their nicotine habit : vaping vs analog?
In some ways I feel much more relaxed about it. Going to a restricted use area (work /stores) I'd be busy getting 4-6 cigs smoked (mornings) before clocking in. Then it seemed like forever til break. With vaping, I've found up to 6 hours have gone by w/o even a thought to 'get some nicotine'. Yet at home - chain vaping half the evening if hands are free. Just curious.

Kicco I must be the failure of the forum but I will be honest. I was a 2-3 pack/day smoker and I smoked lights. I chain vape constantly and I started vaping 12mg and now I alternate btw 18mg,24mg and 36mg and have no desire to try to decrease my nic levels. Its enough for me that I'm not forcing anyone to breathe my second smoke, that my clothes no longer smell like smoke.
I admire Chief and others who are cutting down on their nic levels, but this dog is just too old and set in her ways, and the thought even feeling the tiniest withdrawal symptom just sets my teeth on edge.

I can't seem to do pics but here are some links

Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

The first thing you need is a battery. They come in lots of colors but get a color that isn't too flashy like white or copper or black.

Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

Then you need a juice delivery system. The cartridges are the easiest to use. They come pre filled but you can buy the liquid and refill them. It's easy.

Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

Or you can use Nanos instead of cartridges. They are easy to fill and you can use any flavor of liquid you want.

Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

The easiest way to get started is with a kit. I like this one since you get two batteries. One can be charging while you vape with the other one. You get the USB charger that is right for the battery as well. If you go with a kit like this, scroll down the menu under batteries and get the 78mm since they last longer between charges. It is worth an extra dollar IMHO You also get a sample pack of cartridges.

You would have to buy a Nano separately if you wanted to try that juice delivery system.

That's what I said about 4 grandkids ago. I gave my volt starter kit to my daughter and I'm so glad that she stopped the smokes too. Nearly 4 months for me and almost 3 months for her. Life is great!

I'll have to look for VG at Wally World when I go to town. PG on the other hand, everyone says to buy it at the Tractor Supply but I just can't seem to get over the fact that a Tractor Supply isn't expecting you to use it on or in your body and I just go ahead and buy it from Wizard Labs.

Don't overdo the tobaccos, IMHO. I am using 4% English Tobacco and I think I will give it a try at 3% next. I do like it at 4% but it isn't for pansies:)

I hear you loud and clear after finding out most of WL flavors are potent. I have been stuck on RY4 and Black Magic from EC Blends for a couple of months now and will try your other tobacco blends. What you should do is order your nic blend from WL with the highest amount you can get in pure PG. Then buy your VG at WallyMart $3 for 6 ounces (USP). Mix it 50/50 and you have 1/2 the Nic in a 50/50 PG/VG blend. OR mix it 60 PG and 30 VG and you reduce the nic by 30% instead of 50%. WL PG or VG doesn't cost any more when you add Nic.

Another feeding the homeless? That is my winter project also. Our area churches alternate weeks during Jan, Feb, and March housing and feeding our growing homeless population. Each church takes two separate weeks and our first week is coming up. I am no "chef, or cook", but I do prepare food well and have been in charge of the kitchen for the past 8 or so years, preparing up to 100 meals nightly for these guys. The gals have to go to another shelter as to family groups. Jesus has been quoted as saying " The poor will always be with us", therefore it is our duty to attempt to alieviate their suffering as much a possible. At the very least we keep them out of the bitter cold and alive, however our church seems to provide a little more friendship, a little more love, and GREAT food. They enjoy coming to our shelter and some nights we are overwhelmed. A normal group is 25 to 40 (which means 50 to 80 meals - they always want seconds), but on occasion 50 to 80 show up. We plan for that and the church women prepare home made desserts in addition to our standard meals of Lasagna, Meat Loaf, Turkey, Chili, Hot Dogs and Beans, and Fried Chicken. We also always have tons of snacks before dinner in the afternoon with chips and dips, fruits and veggie snacks etc.

Just like Raynes (Sorry Rave) has to deal with her patients, we have to deal with drug addicts, thieves, drunks and convicts among the homeless. It comes with the territory. They are also GOD's children dispite their faults. Unfortunately we can't always turn the other cheek and have to bring in the authorities to help out, especially with those who have arrest warrants out on them.

Enough of this for now. Since almost everyone in our little group seems to either protect the environment, animals, people and each other, you are GOOD PEOPLE.

God grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway... The good fortune to run into the ones I do... And the eyesight to tell the difference!

God bless you Rabbit. Thank you for being you. I thoroughly enjoy your wit, humor and insight. If you don't mind I'd like to borrow your version of the Serenity prayer and put it in my office.

Like I said before all I have is a kgo and the t3, trying to figure out all the different products, I dont know what to try next. I know I like a smaller battery, Im still nervous vaping in public
Kit I think we were all a little nervous at first about vaping public, but you never know who's life you maybe be helping b/c someone is eventually going to ask you about ecigs. That's the way I looked at it anyway and helped me get over my nervousness it will pass and then you'll be proudly vaping in public.
I'm a die hard Smokeless Image fan their products are reliable, affordable,CS is fantastic, and they are always there to answer any questions you may have. Matter of fact when I first started researching and was looking at all the different stuff out there they were the only vendor to "pop" up and ask if they could help me. They didn't try to push the Volts on me,they just wanted to help. That says a lot. I do use liquids from different vendors but my equipment is always going to be from SI.
Bottom line, its all with what you are comfortable with. Vaping is a personal adventure. It CAN be overwhelming at first but you have a lot of great supportive folks here with a lot of knowledge. Its been said before, there are NO stupid questions. Best of luck to you I know you'll find what is right for you
