I only buy my stuff used, and I open it up the day I get it!
The only thing I own that has a warranty is my car. Now that, I AM afraid to get into. Even changing the oil or a lightbulb is complicated on this one.

I do a few little things on my Harley, but it's under warranty and I just don't know all the new stuff on them any more.

I use Google Chrome almost exclusively. It's not as cumbersome as IE and doesn't get hung up on games.

Now if we only had a phone wiz on this forum. Hubby's phone has gone insane. It claims his data usage has quadrupled. AT&T took off the extra charges and told him to not use cellular data. They are claiming that the phone goes from wi fi to cellular data and that is costing us gigabytes. I got to thinking that is kind of stupid since he has a phone with cellular data and he didn't ever go way over his limit until last month. Plus, he isn't even trying to use wi fi.

Phone accounts can get hacked. I would get customer service to find out what is using all that data. If it's sites that he doesn't visit, that would be a start. Or it could be a billing issue with the phone company. Sounds like they are triple charging him. Either way, I'd talk to them again and see if they can print out his data usage for the past month then compare his actual usage.

Yay! Another Mac fan. I thought I was all alone. I'm pretty much a dunce when it comes to computer stuff, but I rarely get confused by my Mac. All this stuff I hear all the time (like right now) about Windows and Vista makes me shudder and be glad I have a Mac. It's like why I stick with the original SI batteries: no clearos that crack, no T3s that leak, no plugging holes or fooling with O rings. My original SI batteries are like my Macs. Things designed by geniuses to be operated by idiots.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Macs. I just have not had much exposure to them. Most of the business world use the pc/windows setup. That's what I started with and learned on while the computer age took off. I worked for University of Maryland in the IT department... did helpdesk work, not hard computer work. We were mainly Windows/pc support but we had a few diehard Mac users that refused to get on board and many adjustments had to be made. We had a couple of people who supported the Mac users.

I may add a Mac to my inventory in the near future as finances will allow. The graphics are awesome and PCs just don't compare to them yet. Also they have fewer virus problems. Most viruses are aimed at Windows OS. So rest well SandySu. You have a great much safer setup! :thumb:

I believe that is what happened to me. This is what i call a click attack. Another thing a web site can direct you to another sight.
My point is have you ever gone to one sight, then when you lower the browser there is another small web sight opened underneath??

Yes, it's happened and normally a hacker site. I carefully click on email links or website stuff. Somebody out there is lurking and wants a sheep to get away from the herd. I've learned the hard way.

I use AVG and they have a secure search function through Google.

Umm - butterscotch? Where? Who? Butterscotch Pudding is good too! (Vape not food!) :D

You didn't say where you got your Butterscotch Pudding from but I got MadVape's Butterscotch Pudding which is also very good but being 50/50 was very thick and sweet gunking up one of my clearo's and one of the heads of a T3.

SI's Butterscotch is very good and is similar to MadVapes in taste but not as thick. It has a very clean taste. No messy clearo's or T3's.

I had the Virgin Mobile cell phone service for years. I thought it was cheap at $25/month for 300 min. & unlimited data. Until one day it dawned on me that I averaged less than one call per month. And I never texted or used the data plan ever. Cancelled. Haven't had one since.

I'm not a big Apple/Mac fan, mostly just because I think all their stuff is way overpriced, and I just couldn't fit it in my budget even if I wanted to. I do have an iPod, but it was a free gift from my bank. I thought it was pretty nice of them, especially considering how little money actually goes thru my bank acct, LOL. I use my iPod a lot actually, mostly for music, but I also watch Amazon Prime movies on it if I don't want to sit at my computer. I think I am going to get a Roku box one of these days.

Hope all you Volties are doing well. I haven't been on for a couple of days. My lupus just does not want to settle down, having excruciating nerve pain in my arms and hands. Couldn't really type at all, even had a hard time just using the mouse. But it's much better now. Wow, over 30 pages for me to read to catch up.

Hiya Volties!!

(snipped for brevity)

This is going to be a slow recovery process. Open heart surgery (double bypass) generally is. He has a visiting nurse that comes every day. His vitals are monitored remotely. He has to rest a lot. But, his spirits are great. He's been going outside for short walks for the last couple of days to enjoy the fresh air and sounds of nature. I've been keeping him company although I can't be there physically. I'm just there for him online for now - always available when he's up to talking. He has a lot of cats that are vying for his attention that missed him terribly when he was in the hospital. A couple of the guys that work at the ranch brought two of the dogs to visit him - including his avatar dog, Bill.

It may be awhile before he makes it back to posting. Everything exhausts him right now. I know that you folks will understand. He still thinks of all of you and thanks you for your continued prayers and well wishes. I know he wants to come back to visit. He will when he can.

Now that he is home safe and sound, maybe I can relax enough to spend more time here! :D

Thank you so much for the update. A slow recovery is to be expected -- this was a very serious surgery. But I'm so happy he's back home now. I'm sure being with his animals and being able to take walks outside, albeit short ones, will be a significant help to his getting better. I'm still keeping both of you in my thoughts and prayers.

It's time to go do my nightly physical therapy exercises, so I'll sign off for the night. Here's another photo to say good night with.

This is a house in my neighborhood. I've always liked this place. You know how some houses or properties just appeal to you? And the magnolias go perfectly with the house's color, too, don't they?

I love magnolias. We can grow them here in Colorado, but nothing like they have down south. Thanks again, Sandy, for an awesome picture (which I have added to my collection).

(Snipped)

Maybe going to give it a try. Funny, but the first 8 months I couldn't stand tobacco flavors. Now they are the all day vapes - both w/ and w/o menthol. Where /what brand has clear chocolate? I've noticed a huge difference in the longevity of the coil with clear vs dark joose.

The Double Chocolate Clear is from TFA (purchased at Wizard Labs). I really like it, but it is pretty strong. I used it at 5%, 2% of the Dark. And it would have been yucky without the creams & EM I used (4% Whipped Cream, 2% Sweet Cream, 4% EM). When I make my next batch, I'm going to skip the Double Choc. Dark altogether. This is a pretty potent vape, but it has a delicious taste (to me).

Sandy, just keep working that shoulder and I'll bet it'll continue to improve. The shoulder is a very complex and delicate joint so when it gets disturbed or injured it can take a while to get back to normal.

I've found that if I don't bend and stretch daily, IE no couch potato stuff, my back gets sore an aches. If I stay active, bend, stretch, even just vacuum the rugs, no problem at all. I guess it's a use it or lose it thing. Actually, any exercise or movement/motion that requires you to maintain balance against some weight, and not a lot of weight is needed (bag of flower while making bread for example) will help strengthen the core. Everybody is different, for sure, but the basics of using those muscles in the back, abdomen, buttocks and sides will help with most back problems.

Wabbit, you and Mrs. Wabbit have a good trip, the Chief and I will try to hold up the male end here while you're gone.

Tail, bad luck on the pooter. They can be sort of like vaping, backups for backups of your backups are always a good idea (laptop, desktop and tablet).

Great advice for everyone, not just those with medical issues. Around 10 years ago, one of the things that sent me to the doctor with a lupus flareup was that I could not stretch my arms over my head without fainting. That's when they discovered my dangerously low blood pressure. I am unable to walk very far without my feet going numb, but I do a lot of stretching and weight-bearing type exercises either seated or standing. Like I said, really can't walk very far, but I'm still able to ride my bike, which I enjoy. And I have totally overcome the low blood pressure problem, mainly thru exercise.

Boy you ladies sure do look sharp. We arrived in Richmond Va earlier today and are settled in at my daughters home. I bring my netbook everywhere as Mrs. Wabbit does not like to be without email LOL. Catch you all later.

Hope you and Mrs. Wabbit have a lovely time there in Richmond.

cheers sandy....while :banana:bender stays in air con she is safe....we have another week of hell.....on the cards...starting to get cabin fever.... my day starts at 5pm....I cant do much till then

Gosh, Debra, you're burning up, we're freezing here in Colorado. The high today was around 17 degrees, right now it's around 5 degrees outside. Most of our snow melted a couple days ago, but we now have a blanket of ice over the lawn. Brrrrrrr.....

I know how to use a chainsaw,I also know how to use come-alongs. One day I decided to cut a tree that was downhill from our trailer. My chainsaw was a small Mcclough(sp?). I got out the come-alongs and thought I had positioned, secured and had them gatched up tight and locked where the tree would fall where I wanted it to,which was straight towards the trailer. It was straight alright, when that tree fell it went straight through the door. One thing I know,God looks out for idiots like me,it could have taken out the trailer but as it was it just took out the door. Which was bad enough as it was dead winter and cold. Justin was 3yrs and my cousin who was 16yrs was keeping him. Thank God,Belinda was watching and saw the tree falling. When the tree crashed through door Justin said "UHOH,Mommy, you be in "twouble". Well there was nothing I could do but start sawing the tree up in the house. At that time,my Grandmother decided to call and it wasn't long before Mother arrived. Luckily,I had what had landed in the house sawed up by then.Mother never said a word, only time I ever saw the woman speechless, she grabbed Justin and Shelly up, and some clothes and just LEFT. That tree ended up costing me my around $500 back in the 80's.
Next day I came home from work, there was a brand new shiny butane gas tank, no wood burning pot belly stove, no chainsaw, and a gas bill taped to my brand new wood door. To this day,my Mother has my chainsaw and refuses to give it back.
When Mother found out Ronnie and I were getting married, and that our trailer has a fireplace she told him about this incident and to this day he keeps his chainsaws LOCKED up in his Bronco and I have yet to find the key to that stupid Bronco and we have been married 15yrs.
Every time I ask for my saw she reminds me of this, and I always reply sarcastically "Like I'm the only person that has ever had a come-a long to ungatch on them." Her reply always is," State Farm thanks me for it".

   I've heard worse, just can't remember when.

MS is pushing Windows 8 to consumers but not to businesses. I expect windows 7 to be around for awhile, like XP. Until Microsoft fixes the bugs in 8 - I expect it won't be a suitable program for at least a year. I hope it isn't another MS Vista - that was not a nice OS. XP is old, but it was fairly reliable. I miss it already, but I guess I have to get with the times!

I hope this computer gives me a few more years. Upgrading is such a pain!

I used to be so picky about my computer, keeping everything just so-so. Since I quit working, not so much.

My computer came with Vista (that's how old it is). I hated it. Using it was like trying to break into Fort Knox. The security features were way overkill, just ridiculous. At the time, I was the IT person at work. Not really, but I got stuck with the job. I thought I enjoyed challenges, so I thought Visa/Schmista no problem. I may have been, shall we say, somewhat overconfident.

Well, it took me around 6 months, but I finally got all the crap deleted, and everything customized the way I wanted it. It's been running just fine ever since.

I agree! I have Windows 7 and don't have any plans to "upgrade" to Windows 8. DO NOT want anything that looks like a smartphone. Heck! I don't even have a smartphone and don't want one... don't want an iPad either. Just give me my regular desktop, laptop and regular cell phone. Even my Kindle has the keyboard!

I have the Kindle Keyboard as well. Until it stops working, I see no need to get a newer one. I don't even have a cell phone, let alone a Smart Phone. And iPads are overpriced and overrated. No thanks. My iPod was free, so yes, I use it. Didn't realize how much I needed it until I got it.

TY, that was amazing!!!

Whew Alot of post to catch up on!!!

I do now have a new washer. Now I got to do laundry!!!!
I already washed the owners manual, doing a test run:facepalm::lol:
Still have alot of work ahead of me!!!!

Some of the things I've accidentally washed over the years:
money
kleenex
homework
dog treats
cigarette lighters
cigarettes
chewing gum

Just to name a few. So don't feel bad. :toast:

I looked at the photos of the horses. They are all pretty, but that palomino and her chestnut foal really wowed me, too. There's a cute bay a man is holding, too. Is that the horse in your avatar?
The Bay was my baby from waaaay back (1989). Arab /Saddlebred. Palomino - would loved to have them but they were just here a couple months. That foal's color had that golden glow caught in pic.

So here's a horse photo from me. This was taken at a show my horse club puts on. This Trakehner (that's the breed of the horse) mare is owned by one of the club members, and she's a pretty advanced dressage horse. She's used to going around to shows and staying in strange stalls for the weekend, so you can see here she's pretty relaxed, just standing around waiting to go onstage again.

Pretty! Drooling - love Dressage!

LOL missed the fact SI has B. Scotch! Mine is from Vape Dudes. Sadly, it appears the sweeter & darker the quicker the coils seem to gunk up.

Sounds like the Trac Phone would fit the bill!
I'm sorry you're not feeling on top the world....
Thank you for the flavour info!

Grr! My tablet updated. NOW it's look & feel is IDENTICAL to my Not So Smart phone! Plus it un-did all the customization!
LOL! Still using MS Office - 2003 w/ XP pro on the desktop!

For the horse fans - I posted a couple more pictures in the horse album of the newest 'kids' - taken with my NOT SO Smart phone (lobatomy last summer). Not the greatest and the 'kids' need cleaning ...

Oh - my custom SAGEWOOD Glass tip is in the the "Toys" album.
Have a great evening ... after reading the posts on the 'puter stuff ... sheesh - I have a headache! Like electronic toys but the changes in the computers is getting to be more than I WANT to learn!

OMGosh! That custom horse tip is amazing!! You just have to know that I'm going to "steal" some of your bling and equipment organizing ideas too.

Do you do horse rescue too! Those pictures are great! Beautiful horses. Of course I had to look at Beethoven again, he is so precious.

 I did say Madvapes. No! I meant to say Vape Dudes. That's where I got mine from too and yes! It gunks up the coils big time. Maybe I should visit Madvapes website... there must be something there waiting for me to buy.

HEY what's shakin in OZ. Did I hear you were having fires?

I saw a show on Australia where they showed Black Mountain a scary spot with large bolders etc and everybody dies if they go there. I hope that is not the mountan you are going to.

I like everybody's new pics. Also I am turning red in the face at all of your comments. I never considered myself handsome, just funny.

Actually I look better without the mustache, but Mrs. Wabbit tolerates it.
not sure of this black mountain wabbit...have to look that one up..but we do have mountains near to us...called glasshouse mountains.... one looks like a huge monkey face...a few people have gone missing over the years....

Moonstruck, here are some more magnolias for you, since you said you love them. Maybe this will make you think spring. Yes, it has to come someday, even though it seems far off now.

09.jpg

Another magnolia fan here! You capture them so beautifully. I'm adding some of these as screensavers too. Also added the lily pads.
