Hope everything goes well, Sandy.

I remember having an upper GI series many years ago. They gave me something to drink in two small, maybe 4oz cups and I thought "no big deal, this is a piece of cake!". Then, in the xray room there was a technician at a milkshake machine mixing up four of those 1 quart cups for milkshakes. Yeah, it all got used up, tasted like nothing I want to taste again, and the kicker was they kept telling me to "hold that swallow" as I drank the stuff. How the heck do you hold a swallow?

The FDA is yet another example of a committee in action - more than one belly and no brain. Committees are used so there is no direct responsibility for any of their actions. Great system!

I had that too, and totally remember them saying the same thing to me

The reality is that they already have the data. Polyglycol, vegetable glycerine and nicotine have been studied to death for years, going back to the 1920's or so. PG and VG are already "generally regarded as safe" by the FDA. A recent study by Canada showed that PG had no measureable effect on monkeys or lab rats at almost "saturation" levels after months of continuous exposure. Nicotine, in low doses like cigarettes or vaping supply, is acknowledged as similar to and no more harmful than caffeine in its effects. The only logical motivation for this effort to regulate vaping is based on money, either income for the Government or income being reduced, by vaping, for big tobacco. Sure, nicotine can be poisonous at higher doses, but so can weed killer, bug spray and a very long list of other common chemicals found in most homes today. It's a scam for more money and an effort to control what we do, nothing more, nothing less.

I certainly hope so!! This FDA :censored: Has me worried. I feel like Debra on this matter. Things are going to change. I am so upset that I am not thinking straight. Heck I have been stocking up!!!!

Here's a photo I like, though you may not. I guess it intrigued me. As I was walking in the neighborhood, I saw this little guy hiding at the edge of someone's yard. Not your usual garden ornament, which makes it all the better, IMHO.

Speaking of weed killer - any non GMO food that is grown with Monsanto seeds have roundup (yes, that weed killer stuff in your garage) in them. Most corn crops have been grown with Monsanto seed. So anything with corn type products (there are thousands) has a good chance that there is a minute bit of roundup in it. Think about that the next time you look at an ear of corn!

Guess we're having a heatwave now - it's up to 28 degrees. But it must have been really cold last night since our pipes froze for the 1st time this year. Nothing burst thank goodness. We have heat tape on all the pipes under our mobile home, but guess it just couldn't keep up. We placed some lamps & electric heaters under the cabinets, and water is once again flowing.

I made a bunch of new DIY flavors today. I'm vaping on Apple Pie right now, and it deserves an OMG! It's scrumptious. I also made Honeydew, English Toffee, & Cheesecake. Also replenished my stock of Buttery Nipple, Watermelon, Pineapple, Juicy Peach, & Pear. I think Juicy Peach has become my new fruit favorite. To me it tastes like a fresh peach, not like candy.
Wow, Debra, you're a cute little  bender. And Miss Alice is adorable as well. :D

It's been cold here in Nor Cal. Lots of pipes bursting on the news.

Glad your DIY stuff is working! I'm not much of an apple pie fan. If you run across a good cherry pie juice recipe, please pass it on! I see that Wizard Labs aren't taking orders right now and they are planning a move and won't be filling orders during that time frame :( I have checked out some different sites and busy making a shopping list of DIY stuff.

So, I've made progress in my short vaping journey. I was in a meeting today that lasted over 2 hours. When I used to smoke, I would be clock watching after 30 minutes to know how much time I had to wait for my next smoke. A meeting that long would be excruciating to sit through and I would lose my concentration easily with my mind drifting off to how I needed a cigarette fix.

Today, I sat in the meeting and didn't even look at the clock. I actually thought about my new twist sitting at home once, and it didn't make me jittery thinking I needed to vape. I dismissed the thought and set my mind on the meeting again. I didn't get the "crazies" from not vaping during that meeting and could have gone longer.

I'm really starting to see the benefits of vaping. And best of all, it was so nice to not smell like a filthy ashtray in a meeting of non smokers!

Sitting down, facing forward.

I have noticed a similar effect, but I don't get stuck in meetings. We went to visit some friends on Sunday and I didn't vape the whole time I was there. Yeah, I vaped driving to and from, but the interesting part was not feeling that "need" while I was there and not feeling like I had to vape or smoke. I don't know if it's related to lowered nicotine levels in my body or none of the other "wonderful" chemicals that are in a tobacco cigarette. Either way, it's so much better and not smelling like a stale pool room is just icing on the cake.

I know you're asleep right now, Debra, or at least you should be (LOL), but that's a nice photo and you should get one up on the Freebie thread. Another battery or some liquid will always come in handy.

I' sort of a "doomsdayer" when it comes to the FDA and vaping. I'm building up my supplies of nicotine, PG, VG, flavors, delivery devices and battery systems just in case. If they want to follow the EU model I'd love to know why, what "scientific" evidence its based on other than vaping looks like smoking. If it comes down to it, I guess I'll just be breaking another law or regulation which, given the sheer number of laws and regulations already, is inevitable anyway.
thanks awsum sorry im all over the shop today...I have no idea really where to start with diy...ive read abit.finding someone who will ship to oz...and who do I trust...will customs let it in...ive tried reading calculator for mixing...what da...in my head....

I'm sorry to hear your results weren't better, but next month, maybe things will be. Till then, you can work on it.

It must be the day for not getting total satisfaction. At the physical therapist, she spent the whole session assessing my back, and now I have more exercises. She didn't have the x-rays from after the operation and hadn't spoken to the surgeon. Maybe by Thursday, when my next appointment is, she'll have more info on the arm.

I'm sure I must sound like a baby... whining about something so small compared to what you are facing. You have a major hurtle to overcome and are handling this admirably. Working hard and following instructions from your PT. I hope with your next appointment they will be more optimistic that no further surgery will be needed.

I am looking for it Debra. I remember asking, but not sure which thread I asked on! Old age memory setting in I suppose. I'll keep looking and let you know.

That is exactly how I felt awsum! It's a great feeling noticing something like that isn't it??? :)
