Here is a favorite that captures just a fraction of what was the view going up our drive way. That abandoned farm has pulled my heart strings as much as the horses. Sure hope the new family enjoys it as well!

Is this for PCs only, or do I need to worry about this with my Mac?

Apple Strips Java Browser Plug-Ins From Mac OS X

Following a string of security troubles this year, Apple has issued an update that removes Mac browsers’ ability to run Java applets
.
On October 22, 2012 by Matthew Broersma 0

Apple’s latest Java update for Mac OS X not only fixes a number of security flaws, it also removes the browser plug-in from the user’s system, according to the company.

“This update uninstalls the Apple-provided Java applet plug-in from all web browsers,” Apple said in documentation accompanying the update last week.

You look too pretty to hide behind the camera. Let us see your whole face. Anyway, thanks for giving us a glimpse.

Come on Kico, I just can't post a 1/2 picture of you and 1/2 of a camera

It's not like that picture of you at the French Rivera in a topless bikini

That's so odd, since dogs are carnivores. Aren't there some nutrients she's missing that a dog needs, since she doesn't eat meat? Does she get some sort of supplement?

Dogs can be complete vegetarians. Cats on the other hand do require some meat additives. Whisper still gets some chicken treats, but not very much. Her diet is mainly veg. I do supplement her diet with vitamins for her skin condition, but not really for nutrition.

Hey Volties, anyone jumping in to buy the new Volt Spinner?
It appears it will be a little pricey at $25 for the 650, $30 for the 900, and $35 for the 1300 Plus $6.00 for the charger (and shipping)

Again, cheap me, I am going to wait (still haven't tried the T3s), looking for options which have separate batteries, depending on how long my X2s last. A strictly mechanical PV with a replaceable button should last almost forever, just replacing the batteries when they no longer charge. Example: The original ProVape 1 without VV and a lifetime warranty, now $90.00.

Yes, I saw this last weekend and it slipped my mind. In IE, click the little gear icon in the upper right corner Tools, Then choose Manage Add Ons, Find any reference to Java (Sun Microsystems) and Disable it - At least for now.

Thanks Rabbit! Java had been disabled already. That happened with the cleanup fix. I double checked it again just to be sure, and yes it's disabled.

I wonder if the prices are high because they are 808's???

Me for one. Call me crazy... call me weak... but I GOT to have one... 900mah. Purple or red but leaning toward red. My 4th month analog-free anniversary and my upcoming birthday gift to myself.

You're not alone, JoAnn. I GOT to have one too, but I'll get a 650. Deciding on a color is hard, just hope I don't go crazy and get more than one right now.

Wabbit's idea about an all mechanical PV is a good one though. I have been checking them out and plan to get one to add to my two wood box mods......just in case. Batteries and chargers will always be available for them. Now to make decisions about how much joose to hoard. lol

Up to this point, I never entertained the notion about getting into mods. May have to rethink that. I don't know anything about them really. Wouldn't even know where to start with that. Sometimes the "mods" thread is confusing and way over my head about what they are talking about... types, best, safest? All questions that I have about them.

I don't know a lot about either, but I know I want one w/o wires and that will hold just one battery. I need to do some reading in the mod section to see what's out there and what I think I'd like.

One thing I did pick up on was it can be dangerous to "stack" batteries. You really have to know what you are doing with mods. I remember reading about a Florida man had a stacked battery mod that exploded in his face. That was scary to read. Of course it made the news as "an electronic cigarette exploded in a man's face" They then proceeded to say electronic cigarettes are not safe. I believe you can find the story doing a google search. It happened about a year ago.

The one thing that gets me about stacked battery mods are the instructions that tell you to check the voltages with a volt meter after the batteries are charged to make sure the voltage is not too high. I had to scratch my head at that. Yes, the batteries are cheaper, but I really don't want the hassle of checking voltages.

The other thing is if you drop one of those batteries on the floor, it could render it useless. They are not constructed very well and have very few safety features built in like a typical battery.
