Great picture, Nightfell. Glad to finally see you.

Up to this point, I never entertained the notion about getting into mods. May have to rethink that. I don't know anything about them really. Wouldn't even know where to start with that. Sometimes the "mods" thread is confusing and way over my head about what they are talking about... types, best, safest? All questions that I have about them.
Not to dump cold water on the parade: I only use the vv for TWO juices. Really no big deal to using them. Just start in the middle and move in small increments - if you make a big change and heavy inhale - you might feel a little scorched so to speak!

In that particular case, according to what I've heard about it anyway, the guy was using batteries he bought from Radio Shack. They have no overcurrent protection and there was none built into the PV. So, when he started hitting it hard the batteries overheated and bam. He also may have been using non-matching batteries which is a hazard with any device that uses more than one, like a flashlight for example. Keep in mind a battery, even an AA battery, can put out many tens of watts for a few seconds. When that happens they get hot, really hot, and can rupture, violently.
Awsum - so happy to know we have someone that can keep us straight on the batts! I was about to click a reply and then thot - Nope! Awsum will have taken care of this info!

Funny that SI has not posted any warnings about their products. I tend to charge mine at night and when I awake to use the bathroom, I check the blue lights. If they are out, I turn off the charger, if not I let it charge. My X2s tend to need 6 to 8 hrs to charge.
Ditto! The 78's are always in the pcc charger so I figured that's safe ...
I love my reo's

OK I haven't posted any Funnies for awhile Sooooo This One is for Bluesman

Great picture, Nightfell. Glad to finally see you.

Ditto - the usual: have straight hair - want curls; have curls - want straight ... yep - pretty eyes!

You really had some drifting. It looks like you got more than we did today. Ours hardly covers the grass. Maybe a bit more tonight here. So far, it's been a mild January. I guess it can't last for long. Last winter it felt like California -- we hardly had any snow and cold at all. BTW, I love your photos, especially this one.

One day a first grade teacher was reading the story of Chicken Little to her class.

She came to the part where Chicken Little warns the Farmer and she read

"and Chicken Little went up to the farmer and said "The Sky is Falling!"

The teacher then ask the class "And what do you think the farmer said?"

One little girl raised her hand and said "I think he said Holy S**t a talking chicken!"

The teacher was unable to teach for the next 10 minutes.

LOL - I can't believe how huge some are!
Would have been fun to put it all into one msg ...

Bambi - my back yard err - former backyard
The big drift - same yard 2 years ago! Snowed in for days at a time that year! kids missed several school days that year!

The gorgeous mountain - one of MANY favorites from Glacier Nat'l Park. Camera's can't BEGIN to capture the beauty of Glacier. No way. It can only bring it back to the minds eye.

The Friends and Fun in the Sun - same trip (2009) we slept out in tents (raised platforms w/ mattresses) at Lakeside Montanna.
Yes, that's me in the yellow cap.

That single tree out on the lake. Wow! Just looking at that tree reminds me of the day we sat out there on the rocks ... talking about our week - what meant the most ( Hi-Ropes; Hiking; Whitewater Rafting; canoe / kayaking or ?)
I have NEVER experienced such Peace - totally and completely submersed in it as that day on that rock by that tree.

Lovely. Is this another view of that farm where you lived?
I wish! We slept to on the "shore" just the other side of the trees to the right - listening to coyotes(?) howling!

The property next to our former home is similar in the vegatation along the water - lots of tall grass - in "feeling" it's very much like that!
