Here's me and my untamable hair :)

Love your picture Night with your beautiful black hair! In what way do you want to tame it? It looks great!

One day a first grade teacher was reading the story of Chicken Little to her class.

She came to the part where Chicken Little warns the Farmer and she read

"and Chicken Little went up to the farmer and said "The Sky is Falling!"

The teacher then ask the class "And what do you think the farmer said?"

One little girl raised her hand and said "I think he said Holy S**t a talking chicken!"

The teacher was unable to teach for the next 10 minutes.

ahh yes! Mr. Humor!

im not sure if this is right...but cause im always having troubles with the lights going out..and its not cords...I have 14 cords they cant all be bad...I clean the points...done all advice..so the last week im finding this is working better..ill charge x2s for no more than 5hrs.....let them sit off for 2....then on again for 2 to 3 hrs..im actually seeing the lights go out now...so I feel much safer doing that....also the charge seems to last longer while vaping...

Do you charge them on your computer or a usb hub?

I get a newsletter from "James" of the UK. This one is linked to a rather interesting article on Diethylene glycol.
I've not read much about it - someone I worked with in December commented about it as the subject came up with a friend who WAS thinking about trying ecigs ...

Here's the link:

Oh good! the confirming email came - now I can finish up on that petition! I'm 3,378!

My X2's take forever to charge as well. I've found that if I use the car setup, they charge much quicker. I've also found that if the batt sits on the wall charger for over 6 hours, I flip the plug over and viola, the charging light goes out within an hour. I think sometimes it needs a break from the electricity and then it finishes charging. Which way the plug goes into the wall shouldn't matter, but it works for me!

I use the Fost power pack that I got from SI to charge all my batteries. It has two USB ports. That thing is great and one thing that I notice is that they charge much faster using it. I can use it for a whole week before it needs to be charged back to complete charged state. Using it for an entire week, it will be down to three lights. I think that's really good. The power pack will be completely charged in about 4 hours.

The reason that I got it at first was for power outage emergencies but it stayed packed away unused. I like the fact that it's the only thing that I have to connect directly to an electrical outlet to charge and it has a safety cutoff. It's proven to be a great investment.

Good night, folks. I'm off to bed. Here's one of contrails at sunset -- and yes, this was taken in summer a few miles from my house.

Grr! While I bristle at the poison ... they sure do add to the drama of a gorgeous sunset!
still another to add to the "SandySu SS" folder! Ok - Butch got in there with you ... :D

That is sooo beautiful! I love looking at all that snow right where it is... in that beautiful picture. Some of that white stuff is headed our way tomorrow. I really hope it's not like that though.

You really had some drifting. It looks like you got more than we did today. Ours hardly covers the grass. Maybe a bit more tonight here. So far, it's been a mild January. I guess it can't last for long. Last winter it felt like California -- we hardly had any snow and cold at all. BTW, I love your photos, especially this one.

Sandy - we've had a fair amount of snow (6-10 inches all after Dec 17!)... but today I was really surprised! The fields are almost bare again! We hit around 36 degrees today. Wish I could have bottled it!
Next week is still not sounding nice ... we are getting skating rinks around the yard now! LOL! can't win!

I'm enjoying the "tour" around your neck o' the woods! keep em comin!

Now why did I think you lived WEST!???! Somehow I had it in mind that you and Lizzie both lived in Nevada!
Yes - a picture is the perfect place for snow! 2008 / 2009 we had lots of snow and blowing - like the winters we had in the '60's (when I was a kid). Honestly - we've been pretty spoiled for the most part for a long long time! I'll take spoiled thank you very much! :D

Not to dump cold water on the parade: I only use the vv for TWO juices. Really no big deal to using them. Just start in the middle and move in small increments - if you make a big change and heavy inhale - you might feel a little scorched so to speak!

I'm getting use to the twists and I'm plan on getting a spinner from SI as well. I do like them and mostly use lower settings. Now I thought mods were a totally different animal... box type mods... like the gripper. They have removable rechargeable batteries. Do you have anything like that? Was wondering if they may last longer than the X2, twist or spinner. Easier to just replace the batteries etc. Just trying to prepare ahead of time for this uncertain future.

What about the wall socket? I have one battery (a 900 mah) that seems to take forever in a day to charge ...
If I'm not mistaken - isn't the 'puter a slower 'method' of charging?
Um - USB hub? is that connected to the 'puter or the wall?:D

cough choke snort sniff - around here they call me the "electronics expert"! Ha!

Here in Denver we've had mostly mild winters for the last several years, nothing like when I was a teenager growing up here. I don't miss all the snow & ice, but then we suffer with draught.

It got up in the 40's today, so I think we're out of the deep freeze for a little while.

Kico, I love that picture of the snowdrifts. Keep 'em coming; you've got a good eye for photos.

I was asking Debra that question. They have a totally different electrical system in Australia. She can't use our SI wall adapters and it's really not good to charge the X2's on the computer either.

Just did the same thing. Since I really do not "need" any hardware, I thought I would continue kicking myself in the .... making terrible tasting juice

I ordered Dark Tobacco Base, Double Chocolate, Waffle, Strawberry and Orange flavorings direct from The Perfumers Apprentice, and since they do not sell Nic Base, I had to go back to Wizard Labs to purchase 250 ML of my PG with nic.

I am getting closer to some good vapes. Peanut Butter (sent as a sample) with chocolate is tasty, but that is why I bought the Double Chocolate, and Peach is also quite good, but I think I need to add a hint of Orange.

I am still thinking about a Vamo, but the prices with shipping keep getting higher as they become popular. I need to win the Lotto and buy a ProVari.

I have been quite unsuccessful with TFA/TPA flavors. Everything tastes perfumy and soapy to me except red hot cinnamon flavor (my favorite), RY4 type 1 and Capt Black tobacco.

Try Capellas, I got apple pie, chocolate fudge brownie, stawberries & cream, harvest berry, gingerbread, orange creamsicle, etc. Every flavor was dead on with no perfumy / soapy smell or taste. I have been buying mine at High Desert Vapes.

Everyone is different, tried the cantaloupe after Holly raved about it in here, and after steeping for a month still tastes like weak cantaloupe soap. I mixed it at 15%.

But, being a glutton for punishment, I ordered (TFA) butterscotch and mint chocolate today from WL.

I've seen comments here on ECF that charging bags just burn through. The heat involved can be quite high, as in over 500 degrees, and if it explodes it'll just blow the bag apart. Somebody here in Chit Chat said they used a cast iron pot with a lid, now that will do the trick!

That was me awesum. I had a pot made for putting on the grill. The 900mah batteries fit just fine in there, and threw a lid from another pot on top when charging. I figured it was better than nothing, and couldn't hurt since only the threaded tip touches the pot, the other end is held up by the chord. I do allow them to charge overnight, but not when I am at work.

Buying / building mods would be possible for me, my main concern would be tanks for the juice. But at that point I would be weaning myself off these altogether. I believe it would be much easier to stop these at this point than trying to quit stinkies. There were so many habits that were hard to break, took months, along with the cravings I would get. Sometimes even after chain vaping for a while, I would crave a stinkie like after a good meal. But that hasn't happened in a couple months.

I've got a 4 port USB wall charger, got it on amazon. I just take the X2 cable and plug it into that, the X2 charges a little slower but not by much. I wonder if deb could get something like that from amazon au.

Hi Volties!

Yeah - I know, I said I'd be around more. No excuses. Our Bluesman is still struggling. He is getting stronger but he's still not quite up for social interaction yet. This guy has really been through quite a rough patch. No fair.

The photos continue to be spectacular Sandy. And now Butch has shown his talents as well. A completely different style, but beautiful as well. There are still a few pieces of old farm equipment lying around to be found. This cultivator was used by my late husband when he farmed this property when he was about thirteen years old. That woulda made it about 1944. I have another portion of it up by the house. Guess they don't make things like they used to.

Cultivator.jpg

There aren't too many things that I'm good at, but I do know my critters. At least the native North American wildlife. Sandy, your woodpecker is a pileated. The shot below was taken from my kitchen window through a screen, so it has that whole fuzz factor goin' on. It's one of a matched pair. Both sexes sport the backswept red crest. They are about the size of a crow - maybe a smidge smaller.

DSC03744.jpg

You also mentioned a pink trillium. Trillium grandiflorum, the white trillium, turns pink as it ages.

DSC02525.jpg

White Rabbit - Thank you for doing the collage. I've been pretty preoccupied lately and became overwhelmed when I saw all of the pics submitted for freebies. I knew that there was no way I could fit them all in one collage. You were smart enough to just put up the regulars. Good plan!

Raynes - why the heck isn't your picture on there? Huh?

I'll ask Bluesman for a pic when he feels up to it. He's pretty camera shy though. Just sayin'.

JoAnn - I can't imagine why you wouldn't want us to see your lovely face with that smile that makes me want to hug you even more!

Debra - you're just cuter than socks on a rooster. You feel old at 50? Try being 57 goin' on 58!

Lizzie - You work too danged hard, girl!!

Tail - Poor Whisper! I had a brown recluse bite that necrotized. Not fun!

Kico - You're a heckuva photographer too!

Moonstruck - I sure am glad that you're feeling better.

I'm getting my own situation squared away, and I'm feeling better too.

Don't even get me started on all of this business with the FDA. I signed the petition again, but I signed the same dang petition a few years back. This is like de ja vu all over again. When I started vaping in 2009 we were all in hoarding mode. Customs was confiscating equipment and liquid and holding it. We all checked on the court case daily for developments. Here we go again. *sigh*

Chins up Folks. We survived it before - we'll get through it again. Out of this group, I think that maybe Moonstruck and I are the only ones that have been around long enough to remember. But, I can't be sure of that. Cuz, I don't remember. I do recommend that you learn DIY if you think that you can. Maybe get a simple mod. I'd recommend something that uses a single 18650 battery.

We just went through an ice storm here a few days ago. I might put a few pics up tomorrow. Tonight, I'm bushed!!

That would be a great option for her. That would be a good alternative for me as well. Four USB ports... I'm going to check that out!

Yeah, Raven, I like hearing that you are feeling a little better. Say hi to Blues for all of us. We know he has been through a rough patch but I have confidence that he will pull through. He's probably like me - he works too hard:)

Good night everyone.

Good night Lizzie. You have been busy! Sleep well. ;)
