OMG!!! You got 4 people in that?

Yep. We were all young back then and had play twister in the car just to ride! The back seat (if you want to call it that) was a small little itty bitty thing. If you had to sit back there you had to twist your lower body and put your knees together on the center between the front seats. There was very little room behind the driver so whoever took that seat, had to be the shortest. ;)

One of the greatest things about this little car is that you could park it almost anywhere. People would back them up into the sidewalk and park. The axles were always curved on them and the wheels would wear out on the outside first. I never bothered to get them balanced. I just ran the heck out of it!

I have arthritis nodules...only hope is op...they can cut out all the alien looking like bumps...but they can grow back bigger..ive got about 2hrs of use..to do things..then I have to stop...can only type with one finger...I take pain killers only when the pain gets that bad..when you bump them to hard..the pain is like a hammer being hit on your fingers...poor old mate...hears a few :censored::censored::censored:words...everyday....il probably...need to be in a nursing home in a few yrs...if it gets worse...owell...

Debra, I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. Do a google search on Dr Joel Fuhrman. He advocates a vegan diet. He claims that a lot of our problems today are because of our poor diet. (He speaks of the American diet). He has had good success with folks that have followed his diet with rheumatoid arthritis. It's worth a look.

I hope you can find something to relieve your pain!

Here's a more edible (or at least drinkable) fruit. A lot of grapes grow around here, but most are too bitter to eat right off the vine. They are the kind that are made into wine.

Well Deb, When you drink your "brew" I feel sorry for your Mate! No kissy face after that drink!

Sorry to hear that your hands are acting up BUMMER. I have no advice at all, only prayers that you can find some relief or cure. Glad you are back on line. Are the temp still very hot there in OZ?, because here in the US things are generally very cold. Mrs. Wabbit and I soaked in the hot tub tonight, it is 22 degrees farinheight or 5 degrees celsius, but the tub is 102 degrees F or 32 degrees C. (Had to convert for Debra). There was a little snow around the patio still left, so I had to help Mrs. Wabbit so she did not slip and fall. Great Soak, and now we are two warm wabbits.

I am expecting loads of Vape Mail soon and will be a well stocked little Wabbit.

PS: My 30 homeless men ate over 120 hot dogs tonight, talk about a hungry bunch of men:laugh:

I could say the same thing for the month of August in the DC area. That is usually the worst month to ever visit, let alone live there! I would get stuck to my vinyl car seats because I would sweat so much!

I grew up in West Virginia, about 4 hours driving time west of DC. I really don't know how my family survived the humidity in the summer without air conditioning. I remember many summer nights sleeping on the back patio, just trying to cool down. I was so happy when my parents finally put AC in (of course after my brother and I left home).

I can imagine it's playing havoc with your arthritis Deb. Humidity is not a good friend when you suffer with arthritis. Stay cool as much as you can. Sending cool thoughts your way.

I am waiting on my DIY stuff. I picked up a dozen 30ml glass bottles, beakers, tiny funnels from Amazon. I found a label maker on sale today for 19 bucks, so I snagged that too. I've got gloves and safety glasses already. I'm going to clear a section out in my pantry for juice steeping! I'm going to try easy recipes first. I didn't find all the stuff I needed for RY4 yet.

Do you not have homeless women in your area, or do you volunteer in a mens only shelter?

The area churches take two weeks each (one week at a time) to house the homeless men. This week is the first this year and we will do it again in February. We have a permanent shelter for Women and Children called "Halo" here in town. We have been doing this for years, and have begged the County and City to either purchase or rent a building and then the Churches can man the facility year around for the men, but it has not happend yet. "Halo" is the project of one particular church and they specialize in battered women or homeless women and children on limited occasions. Our system is not the best because we only house and feed them from 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM. and at our church we do not have showers. The men can go to Halo during the day for showers.

I hope that everyone that is sick gets well SOON !!!
Debra, try vaping ginger if you aren't allergic to it, Halo makes a good one called Smooth 8.It helped me. It does take a little getting used to.
Chief, I sure would like to see a pic of the tray you are building once its finished PLEASE.
JoAnn, thanks for the info about the Spinner, I can hardly wait to try one !!!
Lizzie, I don't have a Penny, that's Sandy. All my horses are well and the other animals to,thanks for asking.
Sandy, that's great news that your PT doesn't recommend another surgery.
I hope everyone has a GREAT night and stays warm. We are supposed to get freezing rains here tonight with treacherous road conditions in the morning. Thankfully I got low censused so I don't have to be out in it. The roads will be fine for my co-workers,just where I live gets the "lovely" northern weather. How a meager distance of 40 mi can make such a difference in weather/climate changes beats me but it does. Oh well, just extra Bible study time for me. Have a GREAT night !!!

In my area when it gets really frigid, they have what is called "code blue"... mandatory shelters are setup for all homeless people to have a place to stay and are fed. Buses are even sent out to transport them. It's not forced on them however, some flatly refuse to go inside... some are mentally ill. Volunteers will go to known spots with extra blankets, coats and hot food and drink for those who prefer to stay outside. There are a few who will sleep on heat vents on sidewalks. It is sad but there are a lot of people who try to care for them. The unsung heroes.

Sorry Raynes and SandySu for the Penny mix up.

I'm not feeling good but I'm not feeling horrible so let's just hope that tomorrow is about the same since I have a cleaning job to go to:)

Hang in there Deb. Arthritis sucks but you have the right attitude:)

Wabbit - Good for you folks in your town trying to take care of the homeless.

Thanks for the well wishes Chief.

How's your little spaniel, Joanne?

Have a great night everyone. I'm going to bed early.

oh I havnt seen....ginger root tea...do you get it from a health food shop..or do supermarkets carry it?

I found a link for a ginger tea recipe. Ginger root is sold everywhere... in most grocery stores. It should be the same there. It's a funny looking root. I will also include a description for all the medicinal purpose of ginger.

Also a youtube video on how to make the tea out of ginger root: Hot Drinks : How to Make Ginger Tea - YouTube

Weel the whole thing really!!!!!
The juice I would like to make is RY4 with 80/20 (PG/Vg) 12 nic strength. So what nic strength to buy. Then do I just get un flavored pg and vg. Then put in the flavors.

Also would like to make is 555. Later I was going to try 70/30 maybe 50/50.

Just got home from work, and so many pages, just wanted to respond to this before I heat up dinner.

I decided to take the easy route and buy the liquid pre-mixed from WL. I didn't want to mess with calculating nic strength.

Originally I went with 70/30 pg / vg then realized I was putting in flavors that were in 100% pg. So on the reorders I did 60/40 figuring I would end up closer to 70/30 when done. I don't have to handle it any different than vendor e-juice. I figure most my mixes end up around 16% nic or so when I add the flavors. Makes it so much easier even if I do pay a couple more bucks for 100's of ml.

In fact, just got a box today that should have another 500ml of 18mg juice just to stock up in case the FDA decides they don't like us.

For the rest of you dealing with health issues, you have my compassion and prayers. I am so blessed, that I am not in pain, and almost feel 100% after being sick. I am not boasting, but I do remind myself often that no matter what issues I am dealing with I am blessed. I wish I had an answer or advice but I don't other than the greatest advice, pray.

To those of you helping out with the homeless people, GOD BLESS YOU ALL. It is truly sad all the crap we as private citizens, and as a government spend money on when there are homeless people in need of food and shelter. I am guilty of that also.

Anyway, gotta go, take care everyone!

Mark
