Sorry Raynes and SandySu for the Penny mix up.

I'm not feeling good but I'm not feeling horrible so let's just hope that tomorrow is about the same since I have a cleaning job to go to:)

Hang in there Deb. Arthritis sucks but you have the right attitude:)

Wabbit - Good for you folks in your town trying to take care of the homeless.

Thanks for the well wishes Chief.

How's your little spaniel, Joanne?

Have a great night everyone. I'm going to bed early.

I know you like to keep busy Lizzie, but you really should take it easy to allow your immune system to strengthen. Some herb tea and soup... a little medicinal brandy splashed in a cup of hot tea tonight before bed perhaps...

Spanky is not a happy boy! Too cold for me to walk him. He drags when it's time to come in. No he is not happy at all. He may like it a little better tomorrow since we are to get some snow. He does like playing in the snow and doesn't need me to be out there with him.

Rest well tonight Lizzie.

I found a link for a ginger tea recipe. Ginger root is sold everywhere... in most grocery stores. It should be the same there. It's a funny looking root. I will also include a description for all the medicinal purpose of ginger.

Ginger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

http://altmedicine.about.com/cs/3/a/Ginger_Tea.htm

Also a youtube video on how to make the tea out of ginger root: Hot Drinks : How to Make Ginger Tea - YouTube
sweet joann....cheers for the links...:)

FIRST POST EVER in this thread ! So... whatcha wanna chat about ? I am totally down for a couple of burritos while sippin' on some kool aid & vapin' sum RY4 - I'm crazy like that.

No, but seriously - I have been hating Iceland more & more as I have ventured further down this beutiful world of vaping... Because of money & stuff - but then, the other day - I realized ONE thing that Iceland has that you don't ! Cheapest water & electricity available =D

(If you point out to me the obvious fact that the money I save on that is less than a fraction of what I have to spend extra on getting my vaping gear, I am going to END you)

But not really... I'm sorry. It's almost 7 AM & I pulled an allnighter... Which makes me hyper. I do apologize.

BUT - so, you don't drink the tap water at your house ? Do you buy it, like bottled at the store ? Please tell me you buy the water named Iceland =D

Gummi, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Our "advantages" may be your "disadvantages" at the moment, but when I see the electric bill I'll think about you, LOL. You may want to consider loading up with your favorite liquids since our FDA is "considering" regulating vaping and supplies here.

Weel the whole thing really!!!!!
The juice I would like to make is RY4 with 80/20 (PG/Vg) 12 nic strength. So what nic strength to buy. Then do I just get un flavored pg and vg. Then put in the flavors.

Also would like to make is 555. Later I was going to try 70/30 maybe 50/50.

I wish you luck duplicating flavors, especially tobacco flavors. Mixing them is an art more than a science since everyone tastes things just a little differently. I've stumbled across a mix similar to RY4 that I like, but even so I still tinker with it, trying different tobacco bases and flavorings in test batches every time I mix a big batch.

Back in my "youth" my car of choice was the Triumph TR3 or TR4, had a few of each between 17 and 20. I used to get three people into one of them all the time, and they're both two seat rag top sports cars. The back seat, if you can call it that, is a space maybe eighteen inches wide the width of the car and whoever got stuck back there found it to be totally unpadded. On the other hand, with three people in it even though it had very little ground clearance it went through snow with no problem other than the grill would pack with snow and make it overheat. Wish I had one of them now, they were great fun.

oh I havnt seen....ginger root tea...do you get it from a health food shop..or do supermarkets carry it?

Here's a recipe to make it. Gingerroot Tea To Cure A Cold Recipe - Food.com - 200597 I haven't looked, but there are probably other variations. If you want to consider all the recipes, Google "ginger root tea" as I did to get this one. Sometimes, when I want a recipe, I look at a bunch of them and then decide which components to put in my special recipe. If 5 or 6 recipes all have an ingredient, I figure that's important. If only one or 2 have an ingredient, I figure that's one I might choose to put in or not put in.

I drink our tap water. I guess it depends on where you live. Ours is OK, and I've read how bottled water is not all that much purer than most tap water from municipal systems. If you have your own well, as many people out in the country do, then it depends on your groundwater in that area. Things can pollute it like nearby farmers using fertilizer, etc.

Welcome to Voltville, though I think I remember you here some long time ago.

My first boyfriend had a TR2, which was old even back then. We had fun in that old car. It needed lots of repairs, and every afternoon after school, my boyfriend would be out there in the driveway, tinkering under the hood. What was fun was as we drove around, all the other Triumph owners would toot and wave to us. Lots of then would stop and discuss these cars, since the TR2 was so old. TRs had a real following back in the '60s -- and maybe still do. I remember that "backseat" that wasn't really a backseat. I also remember that up by the dashboard on the passenger's side, there was a handle to hold to keep from sliding around when we roared around tight turns as teenagers will.

Yeah, the TR series were maintenance headaches on wheels. Once a week I spent a few hours just tightening up the bolts that held the body onto the frame to keep it from falling apart. The motor never gave me much trouble and I got really good at rebuilding SU carburetors. I did some modifications, high power coil and a ram air system. I chickened out at 140 mph, too unstable to go any faster plus I didn't trust the tires to hold together.

You stay cool !!! Our summers here are very hot and humid so I can relate what you are going through.

yes I hide in my aircon..comp room...wow how things change so quick sometimes..just last week...fires everywhere...only a few in queensland....now this nice drop of rain...is quickly turning into floods...where ok here to a point...but if it stays like this for another week...might need a boat...heavy rain is keeping ...humidity down...up when it slows...up she goes again...

I don't like taking drugs, either, but if some sort of treatment can give you relief, it's better than suffering. If it was me, I'd look into all the options, learn as much as I could about them, and then discuss them with the doctor. For instance, consider joint injections. See http://www.arthritisselfmanagement....eatments/all-about-joint-injections/?page=all for an overview and Cutting Edge Joint Injections Heal Baby Boomer Arthritis - ABC News for a new procedure and Steroid Injections and Arthritis (prednisone is a steroid) and Arthritis Joint Injections | eorthopod.com and Joint Injections For Arthritis Can Slow Disease Progress | PRLog (hyaluronic acid, which is the "grease" that helps joints move -- click the link at the bottom of the page for more info about it). I think joint injections, especially of steroids like prednisone, might be better than oral doses, because steroids can hurt the body in the long run, and the injection administers it right to the site, not to the whole body. Of course, nothing comes free, and there could be side effects and dangers to these injections, but I think they are fairly common and work for a lot of people.

Here's a more edible (or at least drinkable) fruit. A lot of grapes grow around here, but most are too bitter to eat right off the vine. They are the kind that are made into wine.

The Americans living in Italy used to say that FIAT means Fix It Again Tony. I'm curious to see if the new 500's are any better. And I can't call it a 500, it will always be a Cinquecento to me and the Italians.

Isn't it amazing how far cars have come? I'm still driving my 95 Jeep. It is still a standard old car with manual windows/locks. There are some electronics on it, but not as much as the new ones.

While I like the TR3s and TR4s I owned I have to admit not missing the snow coming in around the windshield and the heater/defroster that put out about as much heat as a pack of wet matches. I do like my Jeep with good heat, snow proof interior, electric windows, door locks and a decent CD/radio. Anything after that is OK, but the "basics" are al I need. I'm to the point with cars that all they really are is pieces of iron. As long as it starts, runs, keeps me warm or cool and dry, I'm happy...although I do miss the armchair comfort of my Lincoln, Jaguar and Caddy.
