All this reminiscing about old cars provoked me to post some from that same 4th of July parade that I already posted photos of. This first one is older than I remember, I think, but maybe someone can ID it and remember this kind in their past.

Here's another oldie.

This is more like the cars I remember from my childhood, though I do remember running boards. I used to sit on the running boards of cars parked along the street to put on my roller skates, which were the metal kind you clipped to your shoes and used a skate key to tighten.

The yellow car, I remember seeing that model. Also remember ballbearing roller skates and using skate keys. I used to have the skate key on a shoe string that I wore around my neck to make sure I didn't lose it.

The first one, a truck, is a Ford. The last one is a Mercury. Not sure what the one in the middle is.

Two "news" items for everyone -

1 - As of January 27, 2013, retailers and websites are permitted to add up to a 4% surcharge if you pay using your credit card. This fee was formally paid by the seller/retailer, but a recent court case has permitted the charge to be passed on to consumers. It would seem to me, in my mind anyway, that the prices already contained that fee so any fee passed on is just more profit for them and cost to us, just sayin.

2 - In 2014 a little publicized "feature" of Obama Care will permit insurers to charge smokers 50% more than nonsmokers for the same health insurance policy. Remember, we have to pass the bill to find out what's in it.

Yep they have already passed the insurance increase for smokers and are "supposedly" also going to start making over wt people pay more insurance as well. The hospital I work at is already doing it. Doesn't matter if they have an endocrine problem that keeps them from losing wt they are still going to have to pay extra and that is just NOT right.

JoAnn, I just ordered the Spinner, and a T3 to see if I like them better with the Spinner than I do the X2's. Now when I get this Spinner what settings do I use for what? I'm assuming dessert and fruit vapes are vaped at lower settings and that tobacco vapes are vaped at higher settings. What about menthol? Also do you change settings if you are using cartos or tanks?
I can hardly wait to try the Spinner. If you like it better than the Ego it HAS to be good !!! Thanks in advance for the help!!!

Got that right Awsum,it makes me sick to the gut. All of this does. I've been looking to see how many signatures are left to sign that petition and its been the same I know for the past 3 days. That breaks my heart and it makes me angry-Blues,Tails, Moon and countless others have fought for our freedoms,we have a chance to have our voices heard and I pray that more people step up to the plate and sign that petition.
If ecigs get banned I'll go back to smoking. Just b/c of the fact I don't like someone telling me what I can or cannot do with my own body.

FIRST POST EVER in this thread ! So... whatcha wanna chat about ? I am totally down for a couple of burritos while sippin' on some kool aid & vapin' sum RY4 - I'm crazy like that.

No, but seriously - I have been hating Iceland more & more as I have ventured further down this beutiful world of vaping... Because of money & stuff - but then, the other day - I realized ONE thing that Iceland has that you don't ! Cheapest water & electricity available =D

(If you point out to me the obvious fact that the money I save on that is less than a fraction of what I have to spend extra on getting my vaping gear, I am going to END you)

But not really... I'm sorry. It's almost 7 AM & I pulled an allnighter... Which makes me hyper. I do apologize.

BUT - so, you don't drink the tap water at your house ? Do you buy it, like bottled at the store ? Please tell me you buy the water named Iceland =D

Glad you came by for a chat. As for Ry4 Ilove it. As for drinking water, Sorry I drink from the tap at my house. Don't need to buy water.
I have a well. No water bill either.

1. I wonder if that goes for PayPal, too. Most people use a credit card when purchasing online. What alternative is there? I guess some places, you could send them a check, and once they get it, then they mail out the stuff. After all, that's how they did it in the mail-order days of yore.

2. I thought smokers already paid a higher premium. Maybe it was lower than 50%?

The way things are going you don't have to read it, just look around. A Michigan woman went to jail because she refused to have a "smart meter" installed on her house.

Stuff like that bothers me to Awsum. Seems to me the lady is right. Its her house and she should be allowed to make her on decisions with her property.

Isn't that how we all wore our skate keys? We lived on a street paved with tar, which was really smooth for skating. When I was 12, we moved, and the new street had small COPYRIGHTDMCA in the tar, which was rough. Boy! Was I disappointed!

i have signed the petitions and if they control the nicotine,,i can live with out it,,,i vape all of the time just plain pg,no nic in it.
some thing in the juice is messing with my lungs and i don't know what part of it is messing with me.

I hate that something is messing with your lungs, but I'm glad that you can still vape and do without nicotine.
It just riles me that "the powers that be" are trying to make our choices for us.
Its great seeing you again Larry, and I hope all is well with you.

I remember reading 1984,I had to read it in college, but I don't remember anything about it.

I read it back when I was a teenager, and I remember it pretty well. It made me sort of scared of rats for a while. It was nightmarish, but so much of what they lived like in the book happens. That's what's really scary. The first thing, even at that tender age, that I noticed was how the news will make some person be a hero one day and a villain the next. I remember this about Castro. When he first came to power, there was all sorts of positive press, but later, when he was shown to side with Communist Russia, suddenly he was evil incarnate. Even before reading 1984, I remember questioning this change of position when I was a kid.

Catholic churches still use wine... Even the children take a sip of communion wine.

I'm a gulper, not a sipper when it comes to free wine :)

What I don't like about this, is they let food manufacturers continue to make a lot of unhealthy stuff. Look around in the grocery stores, all the healthy stuff is on lower shelves and the fatty/salty/sugary stuff is at eye level screaming "buy me!"

Seems like there is a sin tax on everything these days and none of that money goes to help the individuals they are taxing.

It all depends on your taste buds and the resistance of whatever you are using (cartos, clearos, tanks). That's the beauty of VV, you can dial it in on your taste preferences. I have a twist that I'm vaping lemon pound cake. I have it on 3.2V and it tastes wonderful! My rule of thumb for any new juice is to start off on the lowest voltage and work my way up to where it tastes the best.
